B-Theory of Runge-Kutta methods for stiff volterra functional differential equations

B-stability andB-convergence theories of Runge-Kutta methods for nonlinear stiff Volterra functional differential equations (VFDEs) are established which provide unified theoretical foundation for the study of Runge-Kutta methods when applied to nonlinear stiff initial value problems (IVPs) in ordinary differential equations (ODEs), delay differential equations (DDEs), integro-differential equations (IDEs) and VFDEs of other type which appear in practice.     

Synthesis of acetone oxime through acetone ammoximation over TS-1

The ammoximation of acetone to acetone oxime with 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide over TS-1 has been studied. The conversion of acetone and the selectivity to acetone oxime can reach 99% and 94%, respectively. The by-products are the corresponding hydrazone, imine and small amounts of unidentified compounds. The influence of various parameters such as solvent, temperature, amounts of catalyst and the NH₃ to acetone molar ratio were investigated. 将SVRT模型应用到单原子多原子反应F+CH2D2→CH2D/CHD2+DF/HF中

由于含时波包方法具有经典的直观又不乏量子力学的准确 ,选择含时波包方法来处理F +CH2 D2 →CH2 D/CHD2 +DF/HF反应 .把半刚性振转子 (SVRT)模型应用到该反应体系中 ,研究了两个通道中该反应从基态反应物开始在修正过的J1(MJ1)势能面上计算出来了反应几率、积分截面、速率常数 .反应几率随能量变化的图的数值结果给出了振荡结构 ,这些振荡结构是可以和动力学振荡联系起来的 .而这些振荡结构在积分截面随着能量变化的图中就被反应几率求和后的平均结果所掩盖了 .速率常数和实验结果的比较也得到了较好的结果 .     

A minimal pair joining to a plus cupping Turing degree

A computably enumerable (c.e.) degree a is called nonbounding, if it bounds no minimal pair, and plus cupping, if every nonzero c.e. degree x below a is cuppable. Let NB and PC be the sets of all nonbounding and plus cupping c.e. degrees, respectively. Both NB and PC are well understood, but it has not been possible so far to distinguish between the two classes. In the present paper, we investigate the relationship between the classes NB and PC , and show that there exists a minimal pair which join to a plus cupping degree, so that PC ? NB . Nonparametric estimation of distributions with categorical and continuous data

In this paper we consider the problem of estimating an unknown joint distribution which is defined over mixed discrete and continuous variables. A nonparametric kernel approach is proposed with smoothing parameters obtained from the cross-validated minimization of the estimator's integrated squared error. We derive the rate of convergence of the cross-validated smoothing parameters to their ‘benchmark’ optimal values, and we also establish the asymptotic normality of the resulting nonparametric kernel density estimator. Monte Carlo simulations illustrate that the proposed estimator performs substantially better than the conventional nonparametric frequency estimator in a range of settings. The simulations also demonstrate that the proposed approach does not suffer from known limitations of the likelihood cross-validation method which breaks down with commonly used kernels when the continuous variables are drawn from fat-tailed distributions. An empirical application demonstrates that the proposed method can yield superior predictions relative to commonly used parametric models.
