Summary The electrochemical behaviour of Fe and C-steel samples in oxalic acid solutions was studied by the use of cyclic voltammetry. Two peaks were observed; the first one was the anodic peak and the second one an unexpected reductive dissolution peak which could be observed in the cathodic branch of cyclic voltammograms of all electrodes studied. The carbon content was found to increase the active dissolution of steels and to decrease their tendency towards passivation. The inhibitive efficiency of phenyl phthalimide derivatives on the active dissolution of Fe and steel samples in 0.1M oxalic acid were investigated.
Cyclische Voltammogramme von Eisen und C-Stählen in Oxalsäurelösungen und der Einfluß von Phenylphthalimiden als Korrosionsinhibitoren
Zusammenfassung Das elektrochemische Verhalten von Eisen und C-Stählen in Oxalsäurelösungen wurde mit Hilfe cyclischer Voltammetrie studiert. Dabei treten zwei Signale auf: das anodische Signal sowie ein unerwartetes reduktives Lösungssignal. Letzteres wurde im kathodischen Zweig der cyclischen Voltammogramme aller untersuchten Elektroden gefunden. Der Kohlenstoffgehalt erhöht die aktive Auflösung von Stählen und erniedrigt ihre Tendenz zur Passivierung. Die Inhibitionseffizienz von Phenylphthalimiden für die aktive Auflösung von Eisen und Stahlproben in 0.1M Oxalsäure wurde untersucht.

Ab initio calculations using both pseudopotential and double and triple-ζ all-electron basis sets, with and without electron correlation (MP2, QCISD), have been performed on the λ4-sulfanyl (SH3), λ4-selanyl (SeH3), and λ4-tellanyl (TeH3) radicals. All-electron basis sets of double-ζ quality predict that SH3 and SeH3 correspond to transition states on their respective potential energy surfaces. In contrast, the pseudopotentials of Hay and Wadt predict that SH3 and SeH3 correspond to local minima at the QCISD level of theory while the pseudopotentials of Christiansen and Stevens predict transition states. By comparison, TeH3 proved to be a local minimum at all levels of theory. Interestingly, when a very large (triple-ζ) all-electron basis set was used, SH3 proved to be a transition state; however, in this instance the potential energy surface was found to be much flatter than in the case for which a double-ζ basis set was used, suggesting that further improvements in the basis set may lead to a local minimum. Further improvements in the all-electron selenium basis also led to a local minimum for SeH3 at the QCISD level of theory. © 1995 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The nature of the tribological surface is identified and characterized with respect to adhesion, friction, wear, and lubricating properties. Surface analysis is used to identify the role of environmental constituents on tribological behavior. The effect of solid to solid interactions for metals in contact with metals, ceramics, semiconductors, carbons, and polymers is discussed. The data presented indicate that the tribological surface is markedly different than an ideal solid surface. The environment is shown to affect strongly the behavior of two solids in contact. In certain instances, the environment can dominate surface characteristics. With metals in contact with metals, adhesion is found to be related to the cohesive binding energy. Strong adhesive bonding occurs for metals in contact with ceramics, semiconductors, carbons, and polymers. Bond strength at the interface is, with some exceptions, stronger than the bond strength of the cohesively weaker of the two materials. Many different surface properties of metals and alloys influence tribological performance. These include (1) surface energy, (2) crystallographic orientation, (3) amorphous versus the crystalline state, (4) grain boundaries, (5) texturing of the surface, (6) crystal structure, and (7) order-disorder transformations. At sufficiently high loads or sliding velocities, metals or alloy surfaces are shown to undergo recrystallization effecting tribological properties. The chemical valency, d-valence-bond characteristics, of metal surfaces affect adhesion, friction, and wear. The greater the percent d-bond character, the lower the friction and wear. The ideal tensile and shear strengths of simple transition metals correlate with friction coefficients. Results presented also show that small amounts of alloying elements in base metals can alter markedly adhesion, friction, and wear by segregating to the solid surface.  相似文献

Emission Mössbauer spectra of mixedvalence trinuclear complexes,57Co-labelled [CoFe2O(CH3CO2)6(H2O)3] and [CoFe2O(CH3CO2)6 (py)3]py were compared with that of [CoCr2O(CH3CO2)6 (py)3]py. It was found that the57Fe atoms produced in57Co-labelled [CoFe2O(CH3CO2)6(H2O)3] and [CoFe2O(CH3CO2)6 (py)3]py showed a temperature-dependent mixed-valence state as observed in the absorption Mössbauer spectra of [Fe3O(CH3CO2)6 (H2O)3] and [Fe3O(CH3CO2)6 (py)3]py, respectively, while57Co-labelled [CoCr2O(CH3CO2)6 (py)3]py showed a temperature-independent divalent iron/II/ state. The results indicate that the decayed atoms keep their position at the sites of original57Co atoms and that the valence electrons are transferred through the intramolcular bondings.  相似文献

Ionic transport measurements based on the Tubandt method have been performed in all three solid phases of Na2WO4 at temperatures between 550 and 600°C in air. It is shown that tNa+ = 1.00 in all cases. Ag is oxidized anodically to Ag+ at Ag/Na2WO4 interfaces. Cathodically only (air) oxygen reduction occurs, resulting in the formation of a poorly conducting layer of Na2O and Na2CO3 at the cathode.  相似文献

The K-Selectride reduction at low temperature (-45°C) of 7-oxo-5α-holestan-3β-yl acetate and methyl 7-oxo-3α-hydroxy-5(β-cholanoate resulted in almost quantitative yield of the 7α-alcohol in the 5α-compound but only moderate yield of the 5β-analog. The simultaneous reduction of two carbonyl groups in the 3 and 7 positions afforded good to excellent yields of the diaxial diol in planar steroids (methyl 3,7-dioxo-5α-cholanoate, 3,7-dioxo-5α-cholestane and methyl 3,7-dioxo-5α-cholestan-27-oate) and only 14% of 3α,7α-(OH)2 from methyl 3,7-dioxo-5β-cholanoate.  相似文献

Studies on Oxide Catalysts. XLii. Redox Behaviour of Nickel in Zeolites NiNa? Y. 4. Influence of Composition on the Reducibility of Nickel in Zeolites NiNa? Y By chemical analysis (reaction with K2Cr2O7) and ESCA investigations we determined the degree of reduction in reduced samples NiNa-Y as function of the mole ratio SiO2/Al2O3 (module), of the Ni2+ degree of exchange and the kind of the second cations. (NH4+, Ca2+, Co2+, and Nd3+) in the temperature region of 620–770 K. The degree of nickel reduction increases with increasing module, decreasing degree of exchange and decreasing number of Brönsted acidic centres. This behaviour is caused by the influence of the interaction between cations Ni2+ and zeolite lattice on the reduction equilibrium.  相似文献

Summary A reliable and rapid procedure for the determination of Hg in fish by differential pulse anodic-stripping voltammetry (DPASV) at the gold electrode has been developed for use in food control and marine ecotoxicology. Potentialities and performance are demonstrated by the investigation of tuna fish. Samples of 0.5–2.5 g are subjected to pressurized digestion with HNO3/HClO4 (71). The resulting analyte solution is irradiated in closed flasks with ultraviolet light in presence of H2O2 to decompose dissolved organic substances. This is followed by DPASV with two standard additions. The relative standard deviation for the lower g/g range is below 5%. Comparative determination by gas chromatography confirmed that in fish-muscle mercury exists almost completely in the form of toxic organomercurials, i. e. methyl- and dimethylmercury.
Voltammetrische Bestimmung von Quecksilber in Thunfischen
Zusammenfassung Für die Lebensmittelkontrolle und marine Ökotoxikologie wurde eine neue spurenanalytische Alternative zur raschen und zuverlässigen Bestimmung des Quecksilbergehaltes in Fisch unter Einsatz der differentiellen Pulsinversvoltammetrie (DPIV) und Verwendung einer Goldscheibenelektrode entwickelt.Möglichkeiten und Leistungsfähigkeit der Methode werden durch die Untersuchung von Thunfisch demonstriert. Proben von 0,5 bis 2,5 g Frischgewicht werden zunächst einem Druckaufschluß mit HNO3/HClO4 (71) unterworfen. Die resultierende Analytlösung wird zum Abbau gelöster organischer Substanzen im geschlossenen Gefäß einer UV-Bestrahlung (70° C, 150 W Quecksilberlampe, 4 h) unter oxydierenden Bedingungen (H2O2) unterzogen. Anschließend erfolgt die voltammetrische Bestimmung mit DPIV unter Vornahme von zwei Eichzusätzen. Die relative Standardabweichung liegt im unteren mg/kg-Bereich unter 5%. Die Richtigkeit wurde durch Vergleichsbestimmung mit der Gaschromatographie getestet. Die Übereinstimmung der ermittelten Quecksilbergehalte bestätigt, daß im Muskelfleisch von Fisch das Quecksilber nahezu vollständig in toxischen organischen

A selective reversed-phase liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS(n)) method is described for the identification of azithromycin impurities and related substances in commercial azithromycin samples. Mass spectral data are acquired on an LCQ ion trap mass spectrometer equipped with an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization interface operated in positive ion mode. The LCQ provides on-line LC/MS(n) capability, making it ideally suited for identification purposes. In comparison with UV detection, this hyphenated technique provides as its main advantage efficient identification of novel substances without time-consuming isolation and purification procedures. Using this technique, six novel related substances detected in commercial azithromycin samples have been studied.  相似文献

Results of X-ray absorption studies of copper nanoclusters embedded in SiO2 matrix and selenium chains confined in channels of cancrinite are reported. Initially randomly distributed copper atoms mainly surrounded by silicon species in an as-made film upon annealing form copper nanoclusters with a characteristic size of 80 Å and the structure identical to that of bulk copper. The characteristic size of the clusters does not increase with further annealing. Selenium in cancrinite is shown to form strongly oriented linear dimerised chains with a bond length much larger than that in bulk forms of selenium.  相似文献
