We present a hybrid method for segmentation of intensity images, which combines an optical contouring technique and digital algorithms for linking edge points or image segmentation. In a first stage, the digital image to be processed is displayed in a twisted-nematic liquid-crystal display (LCD), which is placed between a polarizer–analyzer pair at 45 deg (instead of 90 deg as occurs in standard LCDs). It is not difficult to demonstrate that the proposed setup produces a resultant image with very pronounced dark contours at middle intensity. After the optical preprocessing, two different digital algorithms are applied: an edge linking algorithm (modified chain code) and a simple thresholding technique for image segmentation. The proposed procedure works well with monochromatic and color images. The method could be useful as a robust technique for segmentation of large images in real-time, which presents potential applications in medical and biological imaging.  相似文献

The international workshop and symposium allowed to achieve a veryprivileged forum of sharing and developing our scientific expertise on current aspects ofpositron, positronium and antiproton interactions with electrons, atoms, molecules andsolid surfaces, and related topics, as well as electron interactions with molecules inboth gaseous and condensed phases. Particular topics include studies of electroninteractions with biomolecules, electron induced surface chemistry and the study of plasmaprocesses. (2S,3R)-Sitophilate, the male-produced aggregation pheromone of the granary weevil Sitophilus granarius (L.) was prepared stereoselectively using a novel chemoenzymatic approach in 50% overall yield. The synthetic design was based on an enantioselective fungal reduction of ethyl 2-methyl-3-oxopentanoate with a strain of Aureobasidium pullulans (CCM H1), followed by a Mitsunobu inversion at C3. The last step in the synthetic sequence was a lipase-mediated transesterification using the commercially available Candida antarctica B lipase (CaL B, Novozym 435) using microwave irradiation under solvent-free conditions.  相似文献

VOCs were detected and identified in the water of several wells in the area of Nájera (La Rioja). The past uncontrolled spills from an important painting and varnishing industry and from other smaller ones devoted to the manufacture of furniture and varnishing activities were the sources of the VOCs plume detected in this aquifer. This article shows the results obtained in the monitoring and assessment of the pollution at 18 sampling points for more than a year. It has allowed us to study the evolution of the different pollutants and the influence of a remediation process applied by the company in the main pollution source. The analytical method is based on headspace-solid-phase microextraction (SPME) using a 75-μm carboxen-polydimethylsiloxane fibre. Quantification was carried out by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection. This method has allowed us to determine the 13 VOCs identified in the polluted underground samples providing good sensitivity (LOD between 0.1 and 6.0 ng/mL) and reproducibility (r.s.d. less than 10%).  相似文献

The rate constants for the reaction between chlorine atoms and either 5-methyl-2-hexanol, 2,2-dimethyl-3-hexanol, or 2,4,4-trimethyl-1-pentanol at 298 K were determined using the relative method with 2-butanol and 1-pentanol as reference compounds. The values obtained for 5-methyl-2-hexanol, 2,2-dimethyl-3-hexanol, and 2,4,4-trimethyl-1-pentanol (k × 1010 cm3 molec−1 s−1) were, respectively, (2.64 ± 0.5), (2.72 ± 0.5), and (2.50 ± 0.4), in agreement with the values of the rate constants reported in bibliography for similar alcohols and the values estimated by structure activity relationship methods. The photooxidation products of 2,4,4-trimethyl-1-pentanol initiated by chlorine atoms were identified (formaldehyde, 2-propanone, 2,2-dimethyl propanal, 4,4,-dimethyl-2-pentanone, and 3,3-dimethylbutanal), and the reaction mechanism was determined.  相似文献
