Reaction of secondary phosphine chalcogenides with diallylamine

Diphenyl- or bis(2-phenylethyl)phosphine sulfides and -phosphine selenides react with diallylamine under radical initiation (UV or AIBN) to afford the corresponding diadducts and tetrahydropyrrolylmethyl phosphine chalcogenides. The yield and the ratio of the products depend on the structure of the starting secondary phosphine chalcogenides.     

Nucleophilic addition to acetylenes in superbasic catalytic systems: XVII. Vinyl ethers with furyl and cycloacetal fragments: Synthesis and structure

4-Hydroxymethyl-2-(2-furyl)-1,3-dioxolane and 5-hydroxy-2-(2-furyl)-1,3-dioxane consisting of mixtures of cis- and trans-isomers react with acetylene in the superbasic catalytic system KOHH-DMSO at the atmospheric or higher pressure (80–85°C, 2–3 h) giving the corresponding vinyl ethers in 88–90% yield. The ratio of the structural and configurational isomers in vinyl ethers remains the same as in the initial compounds.     

Transition metal-free regioselective access to 9,10-dihydroanthracenes via the reaction of anthracenes with elemental phosphorus in the KOH/DMSO system

Anthracene and its 9- or 9,10-substituted (Me, Ph, Cl, Br) derivatives react with red phosphorus (P_n) in the KOH/DMSO superbase system at 85–120?°C to afford 9,10-dihydroanthracenes in good to excellent yields, thus providing simple and clean access to these extensively used dihydroaromatics.

Conclusions Polarization and steric effects of the alkylhetero groups have the main influence on the C^1,2 chemical shifts of the vinyl fragment in alkyl vinyl sulfoxides and sulfones.
