In this paper we report the results of Micromegas prototypes constructed by attaching micromesh to an anode using thermo-bond films. The excellent metal attaching ability and good dielectical property of this kind of film make it a promising material to be used as avalanche gap spacers. Several prototypes are successfully made. The electron transmission properties are first studied and then the gas gain is measured in argon-isobutane mixtures. The maximum gain of more than 104 is easily obtained. The energy resolutions for 55Fe 5.9 keV Kα ray can be better than 20% over one magnitude in gain for different operational gas mixtures and the best energy resolution of 13.7% (FWHM) can be achieved with the gas mixture of 94% argon concentration. The preliminary test results of the prototypes with sensitive area of 45 mm×45 mm without internal support show good uniformity across the sensitive area.  相似文献

Bose-Einstein correlations between pions of equal charge have been observed in Charged Current and Neutral Current (anti)neutrino-deuterium interactions in the BEBC bubble chamber exposed to the SPS wide band beam. The pion emission region is found to be essentially spherical with a mean radius of (0.48±0.07) fm; the chaoticity parameter is 0.36±0.04.  相似文献

The isoscalar nucleon structure functionsF 2(x, Q 2) andxF 3(x, Q 2) are measured in the range 0<Q 2<64 GeV2, 1.7<W 2<250 GeV2,x<0.7 using ν and \(\bar v\) interactions on neon in BEBC. The data are used to evaluate possible higher twist contributions and to determine their impact on the evaluation of the QCD parameter Λ. In contrast to previous analyses reaching to such lowW 2 values, it is found that a low \(\Lambda _{\overline {MS} } \) value in the neighbourhood of 100 MeV describes the data adequately and that the contribution of dynamical higher twist effects is small and negative.  相似文献

In this paper we use the adiabatic limit method to prove the gluing formula of real analytic torsion forms for a flat vector bundle on a smooth fibration under the assumption that the fiberwise twisted cohomology groups of the gluing hypersurface are vanished. Bootstrap percolation is a type of cellular automaton on graphs, introduced as a simple model of the dynamics of ferromagnetism. Vertices in a graph can be in one of two states: ‘healthy’ or ‘infected’ and from an initial configuration of states, healthy vertices become infected by local rules. While the usual bootstrap processes are monotone in the sets of infected vertices, in this paper, a modification is examined in which infected vertices can return to a healthy state. Vertices are initially infected independently at random and the central question is whether all vertices eventually become infected. The model examined here is such a process on a square grid for which healthy vertices with at least two infected neighbours become infected and infected vertices with no infected neighbours become healthy. Sharp thresholds are given for the critical probability of initial infections for all vertices eventually to become infected.  相似文献

Physiological linkages between two people in conversation were investigated from a nonlinear dynamical systems theory perspective. Thirty-seven pairs of college students engaged in a 20-minute discussion while connected to electrodes that measured their electrodermal response (ED). Greater incidents of linkage were detected through the nonlinear regression analysis compared to linear models. The nonlinear models were exponential structures that determined positive Lyapunov exponents (and thus the presence of chaos) for 73 out of 74 participants. Results support the use of nonlinear models for interpersonal linkage effects of this type. For each participant, Social Sensitivity from the Social Skills Inventory was correlated with the nonlinear model R(2) coefficient, but not with the size of the Lyapunov exponent. The latter results supported the conclusion that empathy acted as a moderator of the nonlinear process that underlies changes in ED levels over time.  相似文献

A hyperplane H bisects a j-face of P if H meets its relative interior. For $\ell\geq 1$, we investigate the maximum number of vertices that P can have so that for some $\ell$ hyperplanes, each j-face of P is bisected by one of the hyperplanes. Carbon‐fiber microelectrodes (CFEs) are the primary electroanalytical tool in single‐cell exocytosis and in vivo studies. Here we report a new study on the kinetic properties of electrolyte‐filled CFEs in single‐cell measurements and demonstrate that the addition of outer sphere redox species, such as Fe(CN)63? and Ru(NH3)63+, in the backfill electrolyte solution can greatly enhance the kinetic response of CFEs. We show that at 750 mV, a voltage normally applied for detection of dopamine, the presence of fast outer sphere redox species in the backfilling solution significantly enhances the kinetic response of CFEs toward fast dopamine detection at single PC12 cells. Moreover, we also demonstrate that the use of Fe(CN)63? in the backfilling solution has enabled direct measurement of dopamine at applied voltages as low as 200 mV. This kinetic enhancement is believed to be due to faster electron‐transfer kinetics on the coupling pole as compared to the sluggish reduction of oxygen. We anticipate that such redox‐filled CFE ultramicroelectrodes will find many useful applications in single cell exocytosis and in vivo sensing.  相似文献

Background  

In the adult hippocampus, the granule cell layer of the dentate gyrus is a heterogeneous structure formed by neurons of different ages, morphologies and electrophysiological properties. Retroviral vectors have been extensively used to transduce cells of the granule cell layer and study their inherent properties in an intact brain environment. In addition, lentivirus-based vectors have been used to deliver transgenes to replicative and non-replicative cells as well, such as post mitotic neurons of the CNS. However, only few studies have been dedicated to address the applicability of these widespread used vectors to hippocampal cells in vivo. Therefore, the aim of this study was to extensively characterize the cell types that are effectively transduced in vivo by VSVg-pseudotyped lentivirus-based vectors in the hippocampus dentate gyrus.  相似文献
