The adsorption properties of microporous spherical carbon materials obtained from the resorcinol-formaldehyde resin, treated in a solvothermal reactor heated with microwaves and then subjected to carbonization, are presented. The potassium-based activation of carbon spheres was carried out in two ways: solution-based and solid-based methods. The effect of various factors, such as chemical agent selection, chemical activating agent content, and the temperature or time of activation, was investigated. The influence of microwave treatment on the adsorption properties was also investigated and described. The adsorption performance of carbon spheres was evaluated in detail by examining CO2 adsorption from the gas phase.  相似文献

In this study, we solve an inverse nodal problem for p‐Laplacian Dirac system with boundary conditions depending on spectral parameter. Asymptotic formulas of eigenvalues, nodal points and nodal lengths are obtained by using modified Prüfer substitution. The key step is to apply modified Prüfer substitution to derive a detailed asymptotic estimate for eigenvalues. Furthermore, we have shown that the functions r(x) and q(x) in Dirac system can be established uniquely by using nodal parameters with the method used by Wang et al. Abstract

Hypericum scabrum L. has been widely used in traditional medicine for the treatment of many diseases just as the other Hypericum species. In the present study, the antiradical, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of water and ethanol extracts of H. scabrum flowers were investigated. Their phytochemical contents and composition were also determined. The water and ethanol extracts are better scavenged ABTS (97.89 and 98.99%) and OH radicals (96.36 and 97.33%); the water extract is better scavenged DPPH radicals (91.66%) than the standard antioxidant BHA (94.33, 85.19, 90.16%, respectively). Flowers of H. scabrum contain flavonoids, phenolic acids, vitamins and phytosterols, dominated by catechin, vanillic acid, vitamin K and ergosterol. The extracts exhibit a strong cytotoxic activity against MCF-7, HCT-116, and LNCaP cancer cell lines. It is found that their antimicrobial activities are higher than the standard antibiotics. These results indicate that H. scabrum flowers have potent antiradical, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities.  相似文献

A thermal neutron beam facility has been designed and implemented at the Ohio State University Research Reactor. A project is underway to construct a large vacuum chamber such that the facility could have neutron depth profiling and neutron radiography capabilities as intended. The neutron beam is extracted from the reactor through a neutron collimator emplaced in Beam Port #2. The neutron spectrum entering the neutron collimator was unfolded from foil activation analysis results and also simulated with a full reactor core model in the MCNP Monte Carlo code. The neutron collimator uses polycrystalline bismuth as a gamma ray filter and single-crystal sapphire as a fast neutron filter. The beam is defined by multiple 3.0 cm diameter apertures made of borated aluminum. Characterization of the beam was performed using foil activation to find the flux and a low-budget neutron imaging apparatus to see the beam profile. The modulation transfer function was calculated to offer insight into the resolution of the imaging system and the collimation of the beam. The neutron collimator delivers the filtered thermal neutron beam with a ~4 cm diameter and a thermal equivalent flux of (1.27 ± 0.03) × 107 n/(cm2s) at 450 kW power at the end of the collimator.  相似文献
