Sereoselective Addition of Benzaldehyde N,N-Dimethyl-Hydrazone to 2-RfO-4-Oxo-5,6-Benzo-1,3,2-Dioxaphosphorinanes. The Spatial Structure of 2-Pentafluorophenoxy-4-Dimethylamino-2,5-Dioxo-3-Phenyl-6,7-Benzo-1,4,2-Oxazaphosphepine

Abstract

[3+2]-Cycloaddition of N,N-dimethylhydrazone benzaldehyde (I) to 2-R_FO-4-oxo-5,6-benzo-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinanes (II) yields the new heterocycle - 2-R_FO-4-Me₂N-2,5-dioxo-3-phenyl-6,7-benzo- 1,4,2-dioxaphosphepine (III) [R_F = C₆F₅, CH(CF₃)₂) with high stereoselectivity (above 94%). The reaction is likely to involve the initial interaction of nitrogen as a nucleophile with wbonyl carbon as an electrophile. The hydrolysis of (III) leads to phosphonic acid (IV) (OR_F = OH).     

Supramolecular Tools to Improve Wound Healing and Antioxidant Properties of Abietic Acid: Biocompatible Microemulsions and Emulgels

Abietic acid, a naturally occurring fir resin compound, that exhibits anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, was formulated into biocompatible emulgels based on stable microemulsions with the addition of a carbamate-containing surfactant and Carbopol^® 940 gel. Various microemulsion and emulgel formulations were tested for antioxidant and wound-healing properties. The chemiluminescence method has shown that all compositions containing abietic acid have a high antioxidant activity. Using Strat-M^® skin-modelling membrane, it was found out that emulgels significantly prolong the release of abietic acid. On Wistar rats, it was shown that microemulsions and emulgels containing 0.5% wt. of abietic acid promote the rapid healing of an incised wound and twofold tissue reinforcement compared to the untreated group, as documented by tensiometric wound suture-rupture assay. The high healing-efficiency is associated with a combination of antibacterial activity of the formulation components and the anti-inflammatory action of abietic acid.

2-(5-Methyl-2-phenyl-2Н-1,2,3-diazaphosphol-4-yl)-4H-benzo[d]-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorin-4-one 1 readily reacts with hexafluoroacetone, mesoxalic acid diethyl ester, trifluoropyruvic acid ethyl ester and chloral to give 2-(5-methyl-2-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-dizaphosphole-4-yl)-derivatives of 1,3,2- and 1,4,2-dioxaphosphepines.     

The interaction of 2-(5-methyl-2-phenyl-2h-1,2,3-diazaphosphol-4-yl)-4h-benzo[e]-1,3,2-dioxaphosphinin-4-one with activated carbonyl compounds. Synthesis of bis-heterocyclic systems containing di- and tetracoordinated phosphorus

The interaction of 2-(5-methyl-2-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-diazaphosphol-4-yl)-4H-benzo[e]-1,3,2-dioxaphosphinin-4-one with mesoxalic and trifluoropyruvic acids ethyl and diethyl esters, hexafluoroacetone and chloral proceeds with an exclusive participation of P(III) atom and allows to obtain 2-(5-methyl-2-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-diazaphosphol-4-yl)-derivatives of 1,4,2- and 1,3,2-dioxaphosphepines as well as dichlorovinylphosphonate, being the product of Perkow reaction in the case of chloral.

Astolides A and B,antifungal and cytotoxic naphthoquinone-derived polyol macrolactones from Streptomyces hygroscopicus

Two new natural compounds, astolides A,B, were isolated from Streptomyces hygroscopicus collected from the alkaline soil obtained from Saratov region, Russia. The structures were elucidated by interpretation of UV spectroscopic, MS, 1D and 2D NMR data. The relative configurations were determined by analysis of NOESY/ROESY spectra and coupling constants. The isolated compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory activity against bacteria, fungi and yeasts and showed pronounced antifungal activity. Both compounds are noticeably cytotoxic, being active against doxorubicin-resistant human leukemia cell line.     

Solvent,salt and high pressure effects on the rate and equilibrium constants for the formation of tri‐n‐butylphosphoniumdithiocarboxylate

Solvent, salt and high pressure effects on the rate and equilibrium constants for the formation of tri‐n‐butylphosphoniumdithiocarboxylate at 298.2 K are reported. This equilibrium is shifted to the phosphobetaine in polar solvents, salt solutions and under high external pressure. The reaction volume changes dramatically on going from less polar diethyl ether (?69 cm³ mol^?1) and tetrahydrofurane (THF) (?66 cm³ mol^?1), to more polar acetonitrile (?39 cm³ mol^?1) and acetone (?38 cm³ mol^?1).
