The focus of this study was to synthesize the inherently conductive polymer polyaniline using an optimized process to prepare polyaniline/silicon dioxide (PANI/SiO2) composites by in situ polymerization and ex situ solution mixing. PANI and PANI/SiO2 composite films were prepared by drop‐by‐drop and spin coating methods. The electrical conductivities of HCl doped PANI film and PANI/SiO2 composite films were measured according to the standard four‐point‐probe technique. The composite films exhibited an increase in electrical conductivity over neat PANI. PANI and PANI/SiO2 composites were also investigated by spectroscopic methods including UV‐Vis, FT‐IR, and Photoluminescence. UV‐Vis and FT‐IR studies showed that SiO2 particles affect the quinoid units along the polymer backbone and indicate strong interactions between the SiO2 particles and the quinoidal sites of PANI (doping effect). The photoluminescence properties of PANI and PANI/SiO2 composites were studied and the PANI/SiO2 composites showed increased intensity as compared to neat PANI. The increase of conductivity of PANI/SiO2 composite may be partially due to the doping or impurity effect of SiO2 where the silicon dioxides compete with chloride ions. The morphology of particles and films were examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). SEM measurements indicated that the SiO2 were well dispersed and isolated in composite films. A previously unknown modification of dicopper(I) triselenostannate(IV), Cu2Se3Sn, has been obtained from the Cu2Se–SnSe2 quasi‐binary system and investigated using X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction. The Se atoms are stacked in a closest‐packed arrangement with the layers in the sequence ABC. The Cu atoms occupy one‐third of the tetrahedral interstices, whereas the Sn atoms are located in one‐sixth of the tetrahedral interstices. All the atoms occupy general positions. The structure possesses pseudo‐inversion symmetry. The Cu2Se3Sn structure investigated in this paper (96 atoms per unit cell, ordered distribution of Cu and Sn over 12 cation positions) is a superstructure of the reported cubic (eight atoms per unit cell, random distribution of Cu and Sn over one cation position) and monoclinic (24 atoms per unit cell, ordered distribution of Cu and Sn over three cation positions) modifications.  相似文献

The synthesis of poly[(oligoethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate] [poly(OEGA)] brushes was achieved via reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization and used to selectively immobilize streptavidin proteins. Initially, gold surfaces were modified with a trithiocarbonate‐based RAFT chain transfer agent (CTA) by using an ester reaction involving a gold substrate modified with 11‐mercapto‐1‐undecanol and bis(2‐butyric acid)trithiocarbonate. poly(OEGA) brushes were then prepared via RAFT‐mediated polymerization from the surface‐immobilized CTA. The immobilization of CTA on the gold surface and the subsequent polymer formation were followed by ellipsometry, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, grazing angle‐Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and water contact‐angle measurements. RAFT‐mediated polymerization method gave CTA groups to grafted poly(OEGA) termini, which can be converted to various biofunctional groups. The terminal carboxylic acid groups of poly(OEGA) chains were functionalized with amine‐functionalized biotin units to provide selective attachment points for streptavidin proteins. Fluorescence microscopy measurements confirmed the successful immobilization of streptavidin molecules on the polymer brushes. It is demonstrated that this fabrication method may be successfully applied for specific protein recognition and immobilization. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Breynia retusa (Dennst.) Alston (also known as Cup Saucer plant) is a food plant with wide applications in traditional medicine, particularly in Ayurveda. Extracts obtained with four solvents (dichloromethane, methanol, ethyl acetate and water), from three plant parts, (fruit, leaf and bark) were obtained. Extracts were tested for total phenolic, flavonoid content and antioxidant activities using a battery of assays including 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC), total antioxidant capacity (TAC) (phosphomolybdenum) and metal chelating. Enzyme inhibitory effects were investigated using acetylcholinesterase (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), tyrosinase, α-amylase and α-glucosidase as target enzymes. Results showed that the methanolic bark extract exhibited significant radical scavenging activity (DPPH: 202.09 ± 0.15; ABTS: 490.12 ± 0.18 mg Trolox equivalent (TE)/g), reducing potential (FRAP: 325.86 ± 4.36: CUPRAC: 661.82 ± 0.40 mg TE/g) and possessed the highest TAC (3.33 ± 0.13 mmol TE/g). The methanolic extracts were subjected to LC-DAD-MSn and NMR analysis. A two-column LC method was developed to separate constituents, allowing to identify and quantify forty-four and fifteen constituents in bark and fruits, respectively. Main compound in bark was epicatechin-3-O-sulphate and isolation of compound was performed to confirm its identity. Bark extract contained catechins, procyanidins, gallic acid derivatives and the sulfur containing spiroketal named breynins. Aerial parts mostly contained flavonoid glycosides. Considering the bioassays, the methanolic bark extract resulted a potent tyrosinase (152.79 ± 0.27 mg kojic acid equivalent/g), α-amylase (0.99 ± 0.01 mmol acarbose equivalent ACAE/g) and α-glucosidase (2.16 ± 0.01 mmol ACAE/g) inhibitor. In conclusion, methanol is able to extract the efficiently the phytoconstituents of B. retusa and the bark is the most valuable source of compounds.  相似文献

In the last few years, bioactive components or their extraction techniques are gaining special interest in scientific areas. In this framework, orange leaves were used for preparation of extracts with high content of biologically active compounds. To optimize the extraction process, three levels and three variables of Box–Behnken design with response surface methodology were applied. Investigated responses were the total phenolic content (TPC), 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, cupric ion reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC), and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP). Independent variables were methanol concentration (10–90%), temperature (20–60°C), and extraction time (60–180?min). Experimentally obtained results were fit into a second-order polynomial model with multiple regression. Analysis of variance was used to estimate model fitness and determine optimal conditions for processing. Estimated optimal conditions were 90% methanolic solution, 60°C and 180?min using these parameters; the predicted values of investigated responses were 43.19?mg GAE/g (GAE: gallic acid equivalents), 43.04?mg TE/g (TE: trolox equivalents), 139.34 and 93.76?mg TE/g for TPC, DPPH, CUPRAC, and FRAP, respectively. The obtained optimal conditions could be considered as an alternative strategy for developing novel functional products.  相似文献

The title compound, bis[N-(2-fluoro-3-methoxy)-salicylideneaminato]copper(II) [Cu(C14H12O2FN)2] was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined. The title compound is triclinic, space group P with a = 8.552(1), b = 9.645(1), c = 7.871(1) Å, = 108.708(1), = 93.769(1), = 79.429(1), V = 1208.98(1) Å3, Z = 2, D c = 1.696 gcm–3, (Mo K) = 1.815 mm–1, R = 0.0369 for 2963 reflections [I>2(I)]. The title compound has crystallographic inversion symmetry with two bidentate Schiff base ligand coordinated to the Cu atom in a square-planar arrangement. The Cu–N1 and Cu–O2 distances are 1.995(1) and 1.885(1) Å, respectively.  相似文献

The benzo[c]cinnoline compound has been crystallized in ethanol solution. These crystals have been irradiated with 60Coγ-rays at room temperature. The crystals have been investigated by an X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrometer two days after irradiation. Very strong ESR peaks have been observed at the temperatures between 130 and 430 K. However, a line broadening has been observed at 130 K. Also analyses found that EPR specra are temperature-dependent and show anisotropic behaviour.  相似文献

Non‐porous P2 glass beads were etched with sodium hydroxide to increase the number of silanol groups that could be used to modify the surface. The etched glass beads were then functionalized with 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS) and/or glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPS). The surface of the glass beads were further modified with poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) by reacting the carboxyl groups on PAA with the amino groups of the pregrafted APS. The chemical modifications were characterized by FT‐IR spectroscopy, particle size analyzer and tensiometry for contact angle and porosity measurements. Five different molecular weight PAA polymers ranging from 2000 to 3,000,000 were grafted with less than expected increase of grafted PAA with molecular weight. The amount of APS and PAA on the surface was determined from thermogravimetric analysis and elemental analysis data. The surface properties of the surface modified glass beads were determined by measuring water and hexane penetration rate and contact angle.
