The objective of this work was to develop a novel microparticulate system based on the mucoadhesive polymer Eudragit-RS 100
and cyclodextrins (CDs), potentially useful for the oral administration of Glutathione (γ–glutamylcysteinylglycine, GSH).
For this purpose, an oil-in-oil (O/O) emulsion-solvent evaporation method was used for the preparation of microparticles (MPs)
containing GSH alone or together with one of the following CDs: α-, β-, γ-, methyl-β-(Me-β-), hydroxypropyl-β-(HP-β-) or sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin
(SBE7m-β-CD). MPs were obtained by emulsifying a mixture of Eudragit RS 100, GSH, CD and magnesium stearate in acetone or acetonitrile
with a mixture of liquid paraffin and Span 80. Size, encapsulation efficiency, and drug release of the prepared MPs were evaluated.
The results clearly indicated that all the examined properties were dependent on the water-miscible solvents and CD used.
In particular, MPs prepared by using acetone or acetonitrile showed different size distributions with mean diameters in the
ranges 82–350 and 15–22 μm, respectively. Moreover, encapsulation efficiency values were found to be high in all cases (71–99%)
and was significantly affected by the CD type. The GSH release rates were evaluated employing dissolution media with different
pH values (1.2, 6.8 and 7.4) and the following rank order was obtained for MPs prepared using acetone: MPs incorporating Me-β-CD > MPs
without CD > MPs incorporating the remaining CDs. On the other hand, MPs prepared using acetonitrile gave the highest GSH
release rate. Finally, stability of GSH encapsulated in MPs containing HP-β-CD to enzymatic attack by pepsin A, α-chymotrypsin,

Transition‐metal phosphides (TMPs) have emerged as a fascinating class of narrow‐gap semiconductors and electrocatalysts. However, they are intrinsic nonlayered materials that cannot be delaminated into two‐dimensional (2D) sheets. Here, we demonstrate a general bottom‐up topochemical strategy to synthesize a series of 2D TMPs (e.g. Co2P, Ni12P5, and CoxFe2?xP) by using phosphorene sheets as the phosphorus precursors and 2D templates. Notably, 2D Co2P is a p‐type semiconductor, with a hole mobility of 20.8 cm2 V?1 s?1 at 300 K in field‐effect transistors. It also behaves as a promising electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), thanks to the charge‐transport modulation and improved surface exposure. In particular, iron‐doped Co2P (i.e. Co1.5Fe0.5P) delivers a low overpotential of only 278 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm?2 that outperforms the commercial Ir/C benchmark (304 mV). 相似文献

The microstructure and crystallization behavior of a set of poly(ethylene terephthalate‐co‐5‐nitroisophthalate) copolymers (PETNI) containing 5‐nitroisophthalic units in the 10–50 mol % range were examined and compared to those of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and poly(ethylene terephthalate‐co‐isophthalate) (PETI) copolymers. A 13C NMR analysis of PETNI copolymers in a trifluoroacetic acid solution indicates that they are random copolymers with average sequence lengths in accordance with ideal polycondensation statistics. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies show that PETNI containing 5‐nitroisophthalic units up to 20 mol % are able to crystallize and that crystallization takes place in these copolymers at much slower rates than in PET. Wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction from powder and fibers reveals that crystallizable PETNI adopts the same triclinic crystal structure as PET, with the nitroisophthalate units being excluded from crystallites. Fourier transform infrared in combination with cross‐polarization/magic‐angle spinning 13C NMR spectroscopy demonstrates the occurrence of a gauche–trans conversion encompassing the crystallization process. A correlation between DSC and spectroscopic data leads us to conclude that the content of trans conformer in the noncrystallized phase of PETNI is higher than in both PET and PETI copolymers and suggests that secondary crystallization in the homopolymer must proceed by a mechanism different than that in copolymers. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The distribution and the origin of carbon and nitrogen in sediments of an Italian lagoon--located north-east of Ravenna town--were investigated. From 1957 to 1976, the lagoon had been affected by a strong industrial pollution due to an important petrochemical complex. At present, industrial and domestic waste waters undergo a treatment process before being discharged into the lagoon. Sediment samples from 10 locations throughout the lagoon were analysed, in order to document the spatial and vertical distribution of C and N. Data show a very strong variability (organic carbon content varies between 8.9% and 0.14%) and the highest values were found in the immediate vicinity of the industrial discharge. Sediment organic matter shows allochthonous origin in proximity of industrial discharge and autochthonous origin in the remaining areas. 相似文献

Using diffusion Monte Carlo simulations we have investigated the ground state of a symmetric electron-hole bilayer and determined its phase diagram at T = 0. We find clear evidence of an excitonic condensate, whose stability however is affected by an in-layer electronic correlation. This stabilizes the electron-hole plasma at large values of the density or interlayer distance, and the Wigner crystal at low density and large distance. We have also estimated pair correlation functions and low-order density matrices to give a microscopic characterization of correlations as well as to try and estimate the condensate fraction. 相似文献
