Selective C –C couplings are powerful strategies for the rapid and programmable construction of bi- or multiaryls. To this end, the next frontier of synthetic modularity will likely arise from harnessing the coupling space that is orthogonal to the powerful Pd-catalyzed coupling regime. This report details the realization of this concept and presents the fully selective arylation of aryl germanes (which are inert under Pd0/PdII catalysis) in the presence of the valuable functionalities C−BPin, C−SiMe3, C−I, C−Br, C−Cl, which in turn offer versatile opportunities for diversification. The protocol makes use of visible light activation combined with gold catalysis, which facilitates the selective coupling of C−Ge with aryl diazonium salts. Contrary to previous light-/gold-catalyzed couplings of Ar–N2+, which were specialized in Ar–N2+ scope, we present conditions to efficiently couple electron-rich, electron-poor, heterocyclic and sterically hindered aryl diazonium salts. Our computational data suggest that while electron-poor Ar–N2+ salts are readily activated by gold under blue-light irradiation, there is a competing dissociative deactivation pathway for excited electron-rich Ar–N2+, which requires an alternative photo-redox approach to enable productive couplings.  相似文献

Stereoselective syntheses of novel 5,6-difunctionalized-2-azabicyclo[2.1.1]hexanes containing 5-anti-fluoro or hydroxyl in one methano bridge and a variety of syn- or anti-chloro, fluoro, hydroxy, methyl, or phenyl substituents in the other methano bridge have been effected. Rearrangements of iodides to alcohols were initiated using Selectfluor. Rearrangement of alcohols to fluorides was initiated using Deoxo-Fluor. Ring opening of 2-azabicyclo[2.2.0]hex-5-ene exo-epoxide with organocopper reagents is regioselective at C(5).  相似文献

The quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) technique has been developed into a powerful tool for the study of solid-fluid interfaces. This study focuses on the applications of QCM in high-pressure carbon dioxide (CO2) systems. Frequency responses of six QCM crystals with different electrode materials (silver or gold) and roughness values were determined in helium, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide at 35-40 degrees C and at elevated pressures up to 3200 psi. The goal is to experimentally examine the applicability of the traditional QCM theory in high-pressure systems and determine the adsorption of CO2 on the metal surfaces. A new QCM calculation approach was formulated to consider the surface roughness contribution to the frequency shift. It was found that the frequency-roughness correlation factor, Cr, in the new model was critical to the accurate calculation of mass changes on the crystal surface. Experiments and calculations demonstrated that the adsorption (or condensation) of gaseous and supercritical CO2 onto the silver and gold surfaces was as high as 3.6 microg cm(-2) at 40 degrees C when the CO2 densities are lower than 0.85 g cm(-3). The utilization of QCM crystals with different roughness in determining the adsorption of CO2 is also discussed.  相似文献

We reported the synthesis and characterization of peptide complexes of low-spin iron(III) [Fe(bpb)(py)2][ClO4] (1) and Na[Fe(bpb)(CN)2] (2) [H2bpb = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)benzene; py = pyridine], where iron is coordinated to four nitrogen donors in the equatorial plane with two amide nitrogen anions and two pyridine nitrogen donors (Ray, M.; Mukherjee, R.; Richardson, J. F.; Buchanan, R. M. J. Chem. Soc., Dalton Trans. 1993, 2451). Chemical oxidation of 2 and a new low-spin iron(III) complex Na[Fe(Me6bpb)(CN)2].H2O (4) [synthesized from a new iron(III) complex [Fe(Me6bpb)(py)2][ClO4] (3) (S = 1/2)] [H2Me6bpb = 1,2-bis(3,5-dimethylpyridine2-carboxamido)-4,5-dimethylbenzene) by (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 afforded isolation of two novel complexes [Fe(bpb)-(CN)2] (5) and [Fe(Me6bpb)(CN)2].H2O (6). All the complexes have been characterized by physicochemical techniques. While 1-4 are brown/green, 5 and 6 are violet/bluish violet. The collective evidence from infrared, electronic, M?ssbauer, and 1H NMR spectroscopies, from temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility data, and from cyclic voltammetric studies provides unambiguous evidence that 5 and 6 are low-spin iron(III) ligand cation radical complexes rather than iron(IV) complexes. Cyclic voltammetric studies on isolated oxidized complexes 5 and 6 display identical behavior (a metal-centered reduction and a ligand-centered oxidation) to that observed for complexes 2 and 4, respectively. The M?ssbauer data for 6 are almost identical with those of the parent compound 4, providing compelling evidence that oxidation has occurred at the ligand in a site remote from the iron atom. Strong antiferromagnetic coupling (-2J > or = 450 cm(-1)) of the S = 1/2 iron atom with the S = 1/2 ligand pi-cation radical leads to an effectively S = 0 ground state of 5 and 6. The oxidized complexes display 1H NMR spectra (in CDCl3 solution), characteristic of diamagnetic species.  相似文献

Measurements have been made of the rate of removal of a solid organic film (phenanthrene) from the surface of a rotating disk using emulsions containing water, the nonionic surfactant Tween 20, and d-limonene as the organic phase. The results show that phenanthrene removal initially occurs by the uptake of phenanthrene into the emulsion drops as small aggregates. Simultaneously, the organic phase penetrates into the phenanthrene film, diminishing the adhesive force between the film and the substrate. After sufficient time, the phenanthrene film detaches from the rotating disk surface as a solid. This detachment mechanism accounts for the vast majority of the phenanthrene removal ( approximately 90%). Initial solubilization rates were analyzed using two solubilization models. Both models assume that phenanthrene removal occurs via a mass transfer limited removal of phenanthrene-laden emulsion drops from the phenanthrene film surface into the bulk solution. One model treats the emulsion as homogeneous while the other accounts for the finite size of the emulsion droplets. The latter model was also used to relate the flux of organic phase impacting the phenanthrene film to the detachment times. Copyright 2000 Academic Press.  相似文献

Cobalt (II) phthalocyanine (CoPc) molecules have been encapsulated within the supercage of zeolite-Y. The square-planar complex, being larger than the almost spherical cage, is forced to adopt a distorted geometry on encapsulation. A comparative spectroscopic and magnetic investigation of CoPc encapsulated in zeolite-Y and in the unencapsulated state is reported. These results supported by molecular modeling have been used to understand the nature and extent of the loss of planarity of CoPc on encapsulation. The encapsulated molecule is shown to be the trans-diprotonated species in which the center of inversion is lost due to distortions required to accommodate the square complex within the zeolite. Encapsulation also leads to an enhancement of the magnetic moment of the CoPc. This is shown to be a consequence of the nonplanar geometry of the encapsulated molecule resulting in an excited high-spin state being thermally accessible.  相似文献

Electron diffraction and lattice dynamical calculations are used to investigate the unit cells, space group symmetries and inherent displacive flexibility of the room-temperature average structures of AlPO4-8, AlPO4-16 and AlPO4-tridymite. The zero-frequency rigid unit modes (RUMs) of the idealized high-symmetry polymorphs thereof are also investigated along with their relationship to the lower-temperature polymorphism of these zeotypic aluminophosphates. The clear presence of satellite reflections in addition to the Bragg reflections (G) of the underlying Cmc21 parent structure in the case of AlPO4-8 shows that the true unit cell of the room-temperature polymorph has a doubled c-axis due to a condensed RUM mode. Structured diffuse scattering is also observed which can be related to the thermal excitation of RUM modes. In the case of AlPO4-tridymite, a complex F1 triclinic polymorph is observed and related to soft RUM modes while, in the case of AlPO4-16, a soft q=0 RUM mode is shown to be responsible for an observed phase transition in the case of the all SiO2 analogue of AlPO4-16. A large number of additional zero-frequency RUM modes also exist in the case of AlPO4-16.  相似文献

The leaching of two estrogens, 17β-estradiol and estrone, and two degradation products of non-ionic surfactants, octylphenol and nonylphenol, through a soil column were studied to estimate their transport behavior. Different concentration methods (lyophilization, solid phase extraction, and liquid–liquid extraction) were evaluated for analyzing these compounds in small effluent fractions (30–50 mL) collected. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were employed for quantitative analysis of these compounds. After comparison, the lyophilization-LC-MS-MS method was found to be best suited for the analysis of the two estrogen hormones and the liquid–liquid extraction-GC-MS method best for the analysis of the two phenols in small samples in the soil column study. Because of their high sorption capacity, these compounds were mostly sorbed in the upper part of the soil column and were difficult to detect in column effluent.  相似文献

A series of chiral diphenyl-substituted macrocyclic polyether-diester ligands have been prepared from the chiral diphenyl-substituted tetraethylene glycol. Enantiomeric recogntion by the chiral diphenyl-substituted pyridino-diester-18-crown-6 compound ( 7 ) was studied by temperature dependent 1H NMR spectroscopy in deuteriodichloromethane. This ligand exhibited chiral recognition when complexed with the hydrogen per-chlorate salts of (R)- and (S)-α-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine and (R)- and (S)-methyl phenylalaninate.  相似文献
