The bond dissociation energies for a series of silyl peroxides have been calculated at the G2 and CBS-Q levels of theory. A comparison is made with the O-O BDE of the corresponding dialkyl peroxides, and the effect of the O-O bond strength on the activation barrier for oxygen atom transfer is discussed. The O-O bond dissociation enthalpies (DeltaH(298)) for bis (trimethylsilyl) peroxide (1) and trimethylsilyl hydroperoxide (2) are 54.8 and 53.1 kcal/mol, respectively at the G2 (MP2) and CBS-Q levels of theory. The O-O bond dissociation energies computed at G2 and G2(MP2) levels for bis(tert-butyl) peroxide and tert-butyl hydroperoxide are 45.2 and 48.3 kcal/mol, respectively. The barrier height for 1,2-methyl migration from silicon to oxygen in trimethylsilyl hydroperoxide is 47.9 kcal/mol (MP4//MP2/6-31G). The activation energy for the oxidation of trimethylamine to its N-oxide by bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxide is 28.2 kcal/mol (B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p)// B3LYP/6-31G(d)). 1,2-Silicon bridging in the transition state for oxygen atom transfer to a nucleophilic amine results in a significant reduction in the barrier height. The barrier for the epoxidation of E-2-butene with bis(dimethyl(trifluoromethyl))silyl peroxide is 25.8 kcal/mol; a reduction of 7.5 kcal/mol relative to epoxidation with 1. The activation energy calculated for the epoxidation of E-2-butene with F(3)SiOOSiF(3) is reduced to only 2.2 kcal/mol reflecting the inductive effect of the electronegative fluorine atoms.  相似文献

Aroma Constituents of the Purple Passion Fruit. Two New Edulan Derivatives The isolation of (2R*, 4S*, 4aS*, 8aS*)-4,4a-epoxy-4,4a-dihydroedulan ( 1 ), and (2R*, 3S*, 8aS*)-3-hydroxyedulan ( 2 ), two new constituents of the purple passion-fruit (Passiflora edulis SIMS ), is reported. Racemic epoxide 1 was synthesized by oxidation of edulan 6 with peracidic acid, and racemate of alcohol 2 was obtained by reduction of ketone 7 , one of the chromic acid oxidation-products of edulan 6 .  相似文献

A set of highly preorganized pyrazolate-bridged dimanganese complexes L(Mn)MnX have been prepared and structurally characterized. They can be described as hybrid organometallic/Werner-type systems that consist of a low-spin CpMn(I)(CO)2 subunit (Mn1) and a proximate tripodal tetradentate {N4} binding pocket accommodating a high-spin Mn(II) ion (Mn2), with Mn...Mn distances of approximately 4.3 A and different coligands bound to Mn2. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations (both the hybrid B3LYP and the pure BP86 functionals and the all-electron basis sets 6-311G and 6-311G*) confirm that the valence alpha and beta Kohn-Sham molecular orbitals (MOs) of these mixed-valent Mn(I)Mn(II) compounds have predominant Mn(3d) character and an almost perfectly localized nature: all five unpaired electrons are essentially localized at the Werner-type Mn2, whereas Mn1 possesses an effective closed-shell structure with the MOs of highest energy centered there. One-electron oxidation occurs in a clean process at approximately E(1/2) = -0.6 V (versus ferrocene/ferrocinium), giving the low-spin/high-spin Mn(II)Mn(II) species. UV/vis and IR spectroelectrochemistry as well as a detailed theoretical analysis reveal that the redox process takes place with strict site control at the organometallic subunit, while it does not significantly influence the spin and charge distribution on the Werner-type site. Positions and shifts of the nu(C[triple bond]O) absorptions are largely reproduced by the DFT calculations. These systems thus represent an exceptional example of the effect the unsymmetry of a dinucleating ligand scaffold has on the spin and charge distribution in homobimetallic complexes and might offer interesting prospects for the study of the cooperative effects of bimetallic arrays.  相似文献

2′-Deoxy-5-(isothiazol-5-yl)uridine ( 12 ) was synthesized starting from 2′-deoxy-5-iodouridine using a Pd-catalysed cross-coupling reaction with propiolaldehyde diethyl acetal followed by deprotection and ring closure using thiosulfate. 2′-Deoxyuridine 12 has a particular place among the 5-heteroaryl-substituted 2′-deoxyuridines in that it has a high affinity for herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)-encoded thymidine kinase (TK) without antiviral activity. Biochemical studies revealed that 12 is a substrate for viral TK. We further investigated the interaction of 12 with the HSV-1 thymidine kinase. The conformation of 12 in solution was established by NMR spectroscopy. The most stable conformer 12A has the S-atom of the isothiazole ring placed in the neighbourhood of the C(4)?O group of the pyrimidine moiety. The compound was docked in its most stable conformation in the active site of HSV-1 TK and subjected to energy minimization. This demonstrated that the isothiazole moiety binds in a cavity lined by the side chains of Tyr-132, Arg-163, Ala-167, and Ala-168 and that the C(3) atom of the isothiazole moiety is located in close proximity of the phenolic O-atom of Tyr-132 and the aliphatic part of the Arg-163 side chain.  相似文献

Recent years have seen dramatic growth in our understanding of the biological roles of nitric oxide (NO). Yet, the fundamental underpinnings of its reactivities with transition metal centers in proteins and enzymes, the stabilities of their structures, and the relationships between structure and reactivity remains, to a significant extent, elusive. This is especially true for the so-called ferric heme nitrosyls ([FeNO](6) in the Enemark-Feltham scheme). The Fe-CO and C-O bond strengths in the isoelectronic ferrous carbonyl complexes are widely recognized to be inversely correlated and sensitive to structural, environmental, and electronic factors. On the other hand, the Fe-NO and N-O bonds in [FeNO](6) heme complexes exhibit seemingly inconsistent behavior in response to varying structure and environment. This report contains resonance Raman and density functional theory results that suggest a new model for FeNO bonding in five-coordinate [FeNO](6) complexes. On the basis of resonance Raman and FTIR data, a direct correlation between the nu(Fe)(-)(NO) and nu(N)(-)(O) frequencies of [Fe(OEP)NO](ClO(4)) and [Fe(OEP)NO](ClO(4)).CHCl(3) (two crystal forms of the same complex) has been established. Density functional theory calculations show that the relationship between Fe-NO and N-O bond strengths is responsive to FeNO electron density in three molecular orbitals. The highest energy orbital of the three is sigma-antibonding with respect to the entire FeNO unit. The other two comprise a lower-energy, degenerate, or nearly degenerate pair that is pi-bonding with respect to Fe-NO and pi-antibonding with respect to N-O. The relative sensitivities of the electron density distributions in these orbitals are shown to be consistent with all published indicators of Fe-N-O bond strengths and angles, including the examples reported here.  相似文献

The thermodynamics and dynamics of a model S(N)1 reaction: t-BuCl --> t-Bu+ + Cl- is studied at the water liquid/vapor interface using molecular-dynamics computer simulations. The empirical valence bond approach is used to couple two diabatic states, covalent and ionic, in the electronically adiabatic limit. Umbrella sampling calculations are used to calculate the potential of mean force along the reaction coordinate (defined as the t-Bu to Cl distance) in bulk water and in several locations at the interface. We find a significant increase of the dissociation barrier height and of the reaction free energy at the interface relative to the bulk. This is shown to be due to the reduced polarity of the interface. Reactive flux correlation function calculations show significant deviation of the rate constant from the transition-state theory: The transmission coefficients range from 0.49 in the bulk to 0.05 above the Gibbs surface. The low transmission coefficient at the interface despite the lower friction is shown to be due to slow vibrational relaxation.  相似文献

Two receptors, a diaminotriazine derivative (DAT) and diamidopyridine (DAP), are complementary to the electroactive naphthalimide (N) through three-point hydrogen bonding. The association constants of the two receptors were evaluated for both the fully oxidized and the radical anion forms of N. In the oxidized state, the two receptors displayed identical binding constants. Diamidopyridine, however, lowers the reduction potential of naphthalimide to a far greater extent than does diaminotriazine, indicating a greater affinity for diamidopyridine by naphthalimide in the radical anion form. This behavior was mirrored by EPR experiments that showed small deviations from the hyperfine coupling pattern of N(red) in the presence of DAT, with greater effects seen for the N(red).DAP complex. Computational simulations using the UB3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)//UHF/6-31G(d) hybrid gave theoretical hyperfine constants in good quantitative agreement with the experimental results. Using this correlation, we determined that electrostatics and hydrogen bond polarizability play key roles in controlling redox-modulated molecular recognition.  相似文献

(CO2) n , (NO) n and (NH3) n clusters are generated in a supersonic molecular beam and size selected by scattering from an He beam. By measurements of angular dependent mass spectra, TOF distributions and the angular dependence of the scattered signal quantitative information on the fragmentation probability by electron impact is derived. The van der Waals systems (CO2) n and (NO) n appear only at masses which are simply multiples of the monomer mass. The preferred cluster ion is the monomer ion for all investigated cluster sizes withn=2 to 4. The fragment pattern for the quasi-hydrogen bonded (NH3) n -cluster shows, beside a large number of fragment masses, a preference for protonated ions. The results are explained in terms of simple models based on the structural change from the neutral to the ionized configuration and the fragmentation pattern of the monomer followed by ionmolecule reactions.  相似文献
