In this paper, we have investigated the possibility of utilizing CdZnS and CdZnSe alloy nanocrystals (NCs) as sensitizers in quantum-dot solar cells (QDSCs). The alloy NCs were synthesized by a high-temperature hot injection method and subsequently characterized through high photoluminescence quantum yield, along with larger size compared to binary NCs. Femtosecond transient absorption measurements revealed long-lived charge carriers in the alloy structure due to more structural rigidity and less defect states. Finally, the solar-cell efficiencies of the CdZnS (CdZnSe) NCs were found to be 3.05 % (3.69 %) as compared to 1.23 % (3.12 %) efficiencies for CdS (CdSe) NCs. Thus, common anion ternary NCs have been successfully utilized for solar-cell assembly and can be helpful for constructing tandem solar cells to harvest the high-energy portion of solar radiation. 相似文献

I investigated a detailed study of persistent current and low-field magnetic susceptibility in one-dimensional mesoscopic rings and cylinders threaded by slowly varying magnetic flux φ in the tight-binding model. In perfect rings described by constant number of electrons Ne, current shows only saw-tooth variation with φ, while for those rings described by constant chemical potential μ, current varies saw-tooth like for some special choices of μ, but in all other cases it shows kink-like structures. On the other hand, in perfect cylinders I get both saw-tooth and kink-like structures in persistent current whether these cylinders are described by constant Ne or μ. In presence of impurity, current gets a continuous variation with φ only for the rings described by constant Ne, while in all other cases it depends on the choice of μ. My exact calculation predicts that the diamagnetic and paramagnetic sign of the low-field currents can be determined exactly for the rings described by constant Ne. In perfect rings, I get only diamagnetic currents both for odd and even Ne, while in presence of impurity current always shows diamagnetic sign for the rings with odd Ne and paramagnetic sign for the rings with even Ne. Both for the perfect and disordered rings described by constant μ the sign of the current cannot be mentioned exactly since it depends on the choice of μ and disordered configurations. Similar arguments are also true for the cylinders those are described either by constant Ne or by constant μ since the sign of the current in these systems depends on Ne, μ and disordered configurations. 相似文献

Recent experiments indicate that water molecules adsorbed on carbon nanotube tips significantly enhance field-emission current. Through first-principles density-functional theory calculations we show that the water-nanotube interaction is weak in zero electric field. However, under emission conditions large electric field present at the tube tip: (a) increases the binding energy appreciably, thereby stabilizing the adsorbate; and (b) lowers the ionization potential (IP), thereby making it easier to extract electrons. Lowering of IP is enhanced further through the formation of a water cluster on the nanotube tip. 相似文献

The quantum transport properties of a non-interacting mesoscopic ring sandwiched between two metallic electrodes are investigated by the use of Green's function technique. Here, we introduce parametric approach, based on the tight-binding model to study these transport properties. In this paper, analogous to chance constraints, real-life necessity and possibility constraints in the context of a multi-item dynamic production-inventory control system are defined and defuzzified following fuzzy relations. Hence, a realistic multi-item production-inventory model with shortages and fuzzy constraints has been formulated and solved for optimal production with the objective of having minimum cost. Here, the rate of production is assumed to be a function of time and considered as a control variable. Also the present system produces some defective units along with the perfect ones and the rate of produced defective units is constant. Here demand of the good units is time dependent and known and the defective units are of no use. The space required per unit item, available storage space and investment capital are assumed to be imprecise. The space and budget constraints are of necessity and/or possibility types. The model is formulated as an optimal control problem and solved for optimum production function using Pontryagin’s optimal control policy, the Kuhn–Tucker conditions and generalized reduced gradient (GRG) technique. The model is illustrated numerically and values of demand, optimal production function and stock level are presented in both tabular and graphical forms. The sensitivity of the cost functional due to the changes in confidence level of imprecise constraints is also presented. 相似文献

In this paper, we have studied a prey–predator model living in a habitat that divided into two regions: an unreserved region and a reserved (refuge) region. The migration between these two regions is allowed. The interaction between unreserved prey and predator is Crowley–Martin‐type functional response. The local and global stability of the system is discussed. Further, the system is extended to incorporate the effect of time delay. Then the dynamical behavior of the system is analyzed, taking delay as a bifurcation parameter. The direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcated periodic solution are determined with the help of normal form theory and centre manifold theorem. We have also discussed the influence of prey refuge on densities of prey and predator species. The analytical results are supplemented with numerical simulations. Scattering of waves obliquely incident on small cylindrical undulations at the bottom of a two-layer fluid wherein the upper layer has a free surface and the lower layer has an undulating bottom, is investigated here assuming linear theory. There exists two modes of time-harmonic waves propagating at each of the free surface and the interface. Due to an obliquely incident wave of a particular mode, reflected and transmitted waves of both the modes are created in general by the bottom undulations. For small undulations, a simplified perturbation analysis is used to obtain first-order reflection and transmission coefficients of both the modes due to oblique incidence of waves of again both modes, in terms of integrals involving the shape function describing the bottom. For sinusoidal undulations, these coefficients are plotted graphically to illustrate the energy transfer between the waves of different modes induced by the bottom undulations. 相似文献

An inventory model for a deteriorating item (seasonal product) with linearly displayed stock dependent demand is developed in imprecise environment (involving both fuzzy and random parameters) under inflation and time value of money. It is assumed that time horizon, i.e., period of business is random and follows exponential distribution with a known mean. The resultant effect of inflation and time value of money is assumed as fuzzy in nature. The particular case, when resultant effect of inflation and time value is crisp in nature, is also analyzed. A genetic algorithm (GA) is developed with roulette wheel selection, arithmetic crossover, random mutation. For crisp inflation effect, the total expected profit for the planning horizon is maximized using the above GA to derive optimal inventory decision. On the other hand when inflationary effect is fuzzy then the above expected profit is fuzzy in nature too. Since optimization of fuzzy objective is not well defined, the optimistic/pessimistic return of the expected profit is obtained using possibility/necessity measure of fuzzy event. Fuzzy simulation process is proposed to determine this optimistic/pessimistic return. Finally a fuzzy simulation based GA is developed and is used to maximize the above optimistic/pessimistic return to get optimal decision.
