The decomposition of primary, secondary and tertiary alkyl hypochlorites induced by ferrous and other one-electron oxidizable metal ions leads to δ-chloro alcohols in yields of 34–76%. In decomposition of tertiary alkyl hypochlorites, β-fragmentation competes with intramolecular δ-chlorination. Tertiary cycloalkyl hypochlorites containing five- or six-membered rings undergo β-cleavage giving the corresponding ω-chloro ketones, while 1-methylcycloheptyl and 1-methylcyclooctyl hypochlorites by decomposition with ferrous ion proceed by transannular functionalization of δ-carbon atom and β-cleavage as a competing reaction.  相似文献

In developing tissues, proteins and signaling molecules present themselves in the form of concentration gradients, which determine the fate specification and behavior of the sensing cells. To mimic these conditions in vitro, we developed a microfluidic device designed to generate stable concentration gradients at low hydrodynamic shear and allowing long term culture of adhering cells. The gradient forms in a culture space between two parallel laminar flow streams of culture medium at two different concentrations of a given morphogen. The exact algorithm for defining the concentration gradients was established with the aid of mathematical modeling of flow and mass transport. Wnt3a regulation of β-catenin signaling was chosen as a case study. The highly conserved Wnt-activated β-catenin pathway plays major roles in embryonic development, stem cell proliferation and differentiation. Wnt3a stimulates the activity of β-catenin pathway, leading to translocation of β-catenin to the nucleus where it activates a series of target genes. We cultured A375 cells stably expressing a Wnt/β-catenin reporter driving the expression of Venus, pBARVS, inside the microfluidic device. The extent to which the β-catenin pathway was activated in response to a gradient of Wnt3a was assessed in real time using the BARVS reporter gene. On a single cell level, the β-catenin signaling was proportionate to the concentration gradient of Wnt3a; we thus propose that the modulation of Wnt3a gradients in real time can provide new insights into the dynamics of β-catenin pathway, under conditions that replicate some aspects of the actual cell-tissue milieu. Our device thus offers a highly controllable platform for exploring the effects of concentration gradients on cultured cells.  相似文献

The properties of chlorosulphonated polyethylene (CSM) rubber, acrylonitrile rubber (NBR) and their blend (50/50 w/w) were studied. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) studies supported that CSM/NBR rubber blend is self curable, when cross-linking takes place between acrylonitrile groups of NBR and –SO2Cl groups or in situ generated allyl chloride moieties of CSM. The thermal stability of vulcanizates was analyzed in nitrogen by thermogravimetry. It was found that the initial degradation temperature of elastomer based on CSM rubber is lower than of pure NBR rubber. By adding NBR to CSM rubbers, the degradation temperature of crosslinked material increased, indicating higher thermal stability. The activation energy for the degradation are determined using the Arrhenius equation The activation energies for the rubber blends are higher than for elastomers based on pure rubbers. It was found that the mass loss of the blends at any temperature was between those of the pure rubbers. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used for the glass transition temperature determination. It is estimated thermodynamic immiscibility of NBR/CSM blend based on noticed two different glass transition temperatures, corresponding to CSM and NBR rubbers.  相似文献

This paper examines the differences between three Croatian folk singing styles, namely klapa, ojkanje, and tarankanje. In order to factor out singer-specific properties, each of the styles was performed by the same 12 professional male singers. The 36 performances were analyzed with a long-term average spectrum (LTAS) method from which direct effects of the pitch distribution were removed. After factoring out each singer's average, the 36 pitch-corrected LTAS contours were reduced to a two-dimensional representation in two ways: (1) a principal-component analysis and (2) a graphical plot of spectral slope versus speaker's formant strength. Both ways clearly separate the three styles. The spectrum of the klapa style turns out to be similar to that of speech. The ojkanje style is extremely loud and shows two spectral peaks: a sharp one tuned at twice the fundamental frequency and appropriate for long-distance communication on mountain slopes, and a broad one around 3.5 kHz, reminiscent of a speaker's formant. The tarankanje style has a very flat spectrum implemented by vocal pressedness and nasality, which is appropriate for blending into or imitating the timbral characteristics of the sopile folk instrument.  相似文献

The main scope of the paper deals with keto/amine-enol/imine tautomerism in the solid state of an N-aryl substituted naphthaldimine and conformational changes of this ligand after coordinating to the nickel atom. The N-o-tolyl-2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine (I) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P 212121 with cell dimensions a = 7.8641(4), b = 12.712(1), c = 13.853(1) Å and corresponding bis-bidentate nickel complex (II) in the monoclinic space group P 21/c and unit cell dimensions a = 7.436(3), b = 22.050(5), c = 8.643(4) Å, = 95.05(6)°. In the nonplanar molecule of (I) the presence of the enol tautomer is found. In (II) the metal atom has the characteristic square-planar coordination with NiII on crystallographically imposed inversion centers. Two naphthaldimine moieties are not coplanar showing stepped conformation with step height 1.034 Å.  相似文献

The one pot reaction preparation, spectral analysis, and molecular modeling experiments on the new 3,4-annelated coumarin systems with bioactivity associated structural features are described. These provided the insight into the equilibrium of the respective tautomeric forms making possible the reconciliation of previously published spectral data with the structure assignments as well as the correction of erroneously established structures. The synthesized compounds were tested in a standard disk diffusion assay and displayed strong to moderate antimicrobial activity, with a promising new lead prototype compound (7-amino-9-hydroxy-5-oxa-7a,8,11-triazacyclopenta[b]phenanthren-6-one (5)) possessing greater activity that the antibiotics Ampicillin and Nystatin. Antioxidant capacities of the compounds, determined spectrophotometrically using a phosphomolybdenum method, were greater, and in the case of compound 5 four times the activity of α-tocopherol acetate.  相似文献

A kinetic method for the determination of micro quantities of amino acid arginine (Arg) is described in this paper. The catalytic activity of cobalt in the reaction of oxidation of purpurin (1,2,4‐trihydroxy‐antraquinone, PP) by hydrogen peroxide in alkaline buffer solution decreases in the presence of micro quantities of arginine, because of the formation of the complex. Operating conditions for the successful determination of arginine were optimized. The optimized conditions yielded a theoretical detection limit of 1.45 μg mL?1. Kinetic equations are proposed for the investigated process. The interference effects of certain foreign ions and amino acids upon the reaction rate were studied and removed in order to assess the selectivity of the method. The developed procedure was successfully applied to the determination of arginine in various pharmaceutical samples. The typical feature of this procedure is that determination can be carried out at room temperature and in a short analysis time. The newly developed method is simple, inexpensive and efficient for use in the analysis of a large number of samples.  相似文献
