Two approaches of Gaussian distribution of barrier heights in inhomogeneous Schottky diodes have been analyzed by comparing the results for consistency between the two. For this the current-voltage characteristics of inhomogeneous Schottky diodes have been generated by using analytically solved thermionic-emission diffusion equation incorporating Gaussian distribution of barrier heights and by direct numerical integration over a barrier height range. The differences in the results obtained in two approaches are discussed and it is shown that the two approaches yield current-voltage characteristics with slightly different features. The discrepancies in the results obtained in two approaches are attributed to the same series resistance assumed for all elementary barriers of the distribution. It is shown that assigning same series resistance to all barrier of the distribution in numerical integration approach causes current saturation at low bias and inhibits intersection of current-voltage curves from being observable which otherwise occurs in the curves obtained using analytical equation. We study locally and globally ø-quasiconformally symmetric Sasakian manifolds. We show that a globally ø-quasiconformally symmetric Sasakian manifold is globally ø-symmetric. Some observations for a 3-dimensional locally ø-symmetric Sasakian manifold are given. We also give an example of a 3-dimensional locally ø-quasiconformally symmetric Sasakian manifold.  相似文献

The mechanism of scavenging superoxide radical anion ( ) by dihydrolipoic acid (diLA) in absence and presence of the enzyme Manganese‐superoxide dismutase (Mn‐SOD) has been investigated using density functional theory. Mn‐SOD was modelled by a complex of a manganese cation (Mn2+) bonded to three similar molecules having a histidine ring each and a water molecule. It has been shown that the scavenging mechanism involves double hydrogen abstraction by from different pairs of neighboring sites of diLA. It has been found that diLA alone cannot scavenge superoxide radical anions efficiently as the barrier energies involved in the reactions are very high. However, in presence of Mn‐SOD, owing to its catalytic action, the corresponding reactions become barrierless due to which superoxide radical anions would be scavenged highly efficiently. H2O2 formed from superoxide radical anion due to double hydrogen abstraction from diLA is scavenged by diLA alone barrierlessly without involving Mn‐SOD or any other catalyst.  相似文献

Bioassay technique is used for the estimation of actinides present in the body based on their excretion rate through body fluids. For occupational radiation workers urine assay is the preferred method for monitoring of chronic internal exposure. Determination of low concentrations of actinides such as plutonium, americium and uranium at low level of mBq in urine by alpha spectrometry requires pre-concentration of large volumes of urine. This paper deals with standardization of analytical method for the determination of Pu-isotopes in urine samples using anion exchange resin and 236Pu tracer for radiochemical recovery. The method involves oxidation of urine followed by co-precipitation of plutonium along with calcium phosphate. Separation of Pu was carried out by Amberlite, IRA-400, anion exchange resin. Pu-fraction was electrodeposited and activity estimated using tracer recovery by alpha spectrometer. Twenty routine urine samples of radiation workers were analyzed and consistent radiochemical tracer recovery was obtained in the range 74–96% with a mean and standard deviation of 85 and 6% respectively.  相似文献

The structural, microstructural, polarization, magnetization, dielectric constant, and relaxor characteristics of 0.7BiFeO3-0.3BaTiO3 (BF-BT) nanocrystals have been studied. BF-BT nanocrystals were prepared by a chemical route using polyvinyl alcohol as surfactant. The phase structure is confirmed by X-ray diffraction and average particle size by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The magnetoelectric coupling is studied by polarization hysteresis loops under the influence of applied magnetic field and the phase transition anomaly. The diffuse phase transition is studied by modified Curie-Weiss law and relaxor characteristics by Vogel-Fulcher relation.  相似文献

High spin states in 120Xe, populated via107Ag(16O, p2n) and108Pd(16O, 4n)reactions have been studied using γ-ray spectroscopic techniques. 21 new transitions have been added to extend the level scheme. Two S-bands are extended upto 26+ and 22+;these bands are found to cross the g. s band at hΩ=0. 39 and 0. 47 MeV. The band structures have been discussed within the framework of CSM.  相似文献

+ silicon wafer held at 573 K, are measured over a temperature range 37–307 K and analyzed in terms of thermionic emission–diffusion (TED) theory by incorporating the concept of barrier inhomogeneities through a Gaussian distribution function. The process adopted is shown to yield an ideal Schottky diode with a near constant barrier height of 0.734 V and ideality factor 1.05 in the temperature interval 215–307 K. Below 215 K, both the barrier height (φbo) and the ideality factor (η) exhibit abnormal temperature dependence and are explained by invoking two sets of Gaussian distributions of barrier heights at 84–215 K and 37–84 K. Further, it is demonstrated that the forward bias makes the Gaussian distribution dynamic so that the mean fluctuates (i.e., increases or decreases depending on whether its voltage coefficient is positive or negative) and the standard deviation decreases progressively, i.e., the barrier homogenizes temporarily. The changes occur in such a way that the apparent barrier height at any bias is always higher than at zero-bias. Finally, it is pointed out that the presence of single/multiple distributions can be ascertained and the values of respective parameters deduced from the φap vs. 1/T plot itself. Also, the inverse ideality factor versus inverse temperature plot provides bias coefficients of the mean barrier height and standard deviation of the distribution function.
