Direct experimental evidence has been obtained for the existence of short-range ferromagnetic order in GdxSi1?x alloys. Along with the standard magnetotransport measurements, a “local” experimental method of the elastic scattering of thermal neutrons on the magnetic moment of Gd is applied. The measurement results provide the conclusion that short-range ferromagnetic order is formed in nanoclusters with an increased content of Gd ions. We consider the amorphous alloy GdxSi1?x as a new magnetic material with unique properties characteristic of both strongly inhomogeneous alloys and nanocomposite compounds. 相似文献

The results obtained by measuring, at the U-70 accelerator in Protvino, the single-spin asymmetry A N in the reaction p + p └ → π0 + X at a beam energy of 50 GeV in the Feynman variable range of ?0.6 < x F < ?0.1 are presented. The asymmetry A N is close to zero at small |x F | and grows in magnitude with |x F |, reaching 6.4% in the region of |x F | > 0.25. The results of these measurements agree with data of the E704 experiment on the asymmetry of π 0 mesons at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in the region of polarized-beam fragmentation and with the results of measurements in the region of polarized-target fragmentation that were performed in Protvino by using a 40-GeV π ?-meson beam and a 70-GeV proton beam. 相似文献

The structural and magnetic properties of ErMn2H4.6 have been studied by X-ray and neutron diffraction up to the pressures of 15 and 6 GPa, respectively. In the pressure range 0<P<3 GPa we observe a first-order phase transition to new high-pressure (HP) phase. The HP phase has the same hexagonal unit cell as the ambient-pressure phase but smaller lattice parameters (ΔV/V=−5%). The structural transition results in suppression of the long-range antiferromagnetic order. Our results suggest that pressure changes positions of the hydrogen atoms in the metal host. We speculate that the new arrangement of hydrogen atoms induces spin frustration and, therefore, suppresses long-range magnetic order in the HP phase. 相似文献
