The Neumann problem for the propagative Helmholtz equation inthe exterior of several bodies (obstacles) is studied in twoand three dimensions by a special modification of the boundaryintegral equation method. This modification can be called the'method of interior boundaries', because additional boundariesare introduced inside scattering bodies. The solution of theproblem is obtained in the form of a single layer potentialon the whole boundary. The density in the potential satisfiesthe uniquely solvable Fredholm equation of the second kind andcan be computed by standard codes. In fact our method holdsfor any positive wave numbers. 相似文献

A novel electrochemical setup has been developed for soft X-ray absorption studies of the electronic structure of electrode materials during electrochemical cycling. In this communication we illustrate the operation of the cell with a study of the corrosion behavior of copper in aqueous NaHCO3 solution via the electrochemically induced changes of its electronic structure. A metal-insulator crossover appears in the experimental data for in-plane resistivity of underdoped cuprates and a range of
superconducting cuprates in the presence of a strong magnetic field suppressing superconductivity. We propose an explanation
for this phenomenon based on a gauge field theory approach to the t-J model. In this approach, based on a formal spin-charge
separation, the low energy effective action describes gapful spinons (with a theoretically derived doping dependence of the
gap m

∼ δ| ln δ|) and holons with finite Fermi surface (ɛF ∼ tδ) interacting via a gauge field whose basic effect on the spinons is to bind them into overdamped spin waves, shifting their
gap by a damping term linear in T, which causes the metal-insulator crossover. The presence of a magnetic field perpendicular to the plane acts by increasing

随着流体力学中数值方法的飞速发展,计算模型已经成为研究流体运动,泥沙输运和不同环境(诸如河流,湖泊及沿海地区)中相应污染物归趋过程等方面非常有吸引力的工具,在过去的30多年里,发展了许多计算水动力学/泥沙输运模型.文章追溯当前具有代表性的(一维、二维、三维)模型的发展历程,描述他们各自的特点,优势及局限,力图作为对模型方面感兴趣读者的第一指南,同时也为大家讨论模型的局限性,未来的发展趋势和研究需求方面搭建一个平台.给出了模型的表达,时空特性,水动力学和沉积物的耦合方式,处理非恒定流,推移质和悬移质,泥沙交换过程,泥沙类型(粘性或非粘性)及非均匀泥沙输运的能力.总结了不同模型的应用实例,读者可以运用这些例子作为研究模型设置,模型率定及模型验证的参考.给出了选择泥沙输运模型应遵循的原则,模型输入及率定方面存在的问题及改进的途径.探讨了现有水动力学/泥沙输运模型在处理复杂湍流,泥沙携带,流动与输沙耦合,非均匀泥沙,离散和扩散系数,河岸来沙处理等方面的局限性及改进的方向.最后,对基于多相流思想的泥沙输运模型及其它一些交叉性问题作了评述与展望. 相似文献

Dielectronic recombination of Pb53+ has been studied and a resonance is detected only ∼0.1 meV above the ground state. The possibility to determine the 4p
1/2−4s
1/2 energy splitting with a similar accuracy from the determination of the resonance position is discussed. Such a precision
can only be achieved by calculations which treat QED in a many-body environment at levels which can still not be reached.
A fully relativistic many-body calculation of the splitting is described and the uncertainties are discussed.

Structural distortions in post-transition metal oxides are often explained in terms of the influence of sp hybrid "lone pairs." Evidence is presented here showing that this model must be revised. The electronic structures of prototypically distorted alpha-PbO and alpha-Bi2O3 have been measured by high-resolution x-ray photoemission and soft x-ray emission spectroscopies. In contrast with the expectations of the lone pair model, a high density of metal 6s states is observed at the bottom of the valence band. The electronic structure of a material plays an important role in its functionality for different applications which can be probed using synchrotron‐based spectroscopy techniques. Here, various cobalt‐based compounds, differing in crystal structure, ligands surrounding the central metal ion and morphology, have been studied by soft X‐ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) at the Co L‐edge in order to measure the effect of these parameters on the electronic structure. A careful qualitative analysis of the spectral branching ratio and relative intensities of the L3 and L2 peaks provide useful insight into the electronic properties of compounds such as CoO/Co(OH)2, CoCl2.6H2O/CoF2.4H2O, CoCl2/CoF2, Co3O4 (bulk/nano/micro). For further detailed analysis of the XAS spectra, quantitative analysis has been performed by fitting the spectral profile with simulated spectra for a number of cobalt compounds using crystal field atomic multiplet calculations. 相似文献

Recent advances in studies of electron-ion recombination processes at low relative energies with the electron cooler of the
heavy-ion storage ring CRYRING are shown. Through the use of an adiabatically expanded electron beam, collisions down to 10-4eV relative energies were measured with highly charged ions stored in the ring at around 15 MeV/amu energies. Examples of
recombination measurements for bare ions of D+, He2+, N7+, Ne10+ and Si14+ are presented. Further on, results of an experiment measuring laser-induced recombination (LIR) into n=3 states of deuterium with polarized laser light are shown.
