A novel route to the synthesis of cyclopropane derivatives is described. 1,1-Dimethyls in 2-(1,1-dimethylalkyl)dimethyloxazolines are first converted into 1,3-diiodide derivatives via Pd-catalyzed sequential C-H activation and then radically cyclized to provide 2-(1-alkylcylclopropyl)dimethyloxazolines. We have previously reported a novel approach to implementing multiplex enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in connected microchannels by exploiting the slow diffusion of the enzyme reaction product across the different assay segments. This work builds on that report by implementing the noted assay in segments arranged along the circumference of a circular channel layout to reduce the footprint size and sample volume requirement. Using the current design, a 5-plex cytokine ELISA was demonstrated in a 1.5 × 1.5-cm region, which corresponded to a reduction in the footprint area by about a factor of 3 compared to that reported in our previous study. Additionally, the selective coating of our assay segments with the target molecules was realized in this work using electroosmosis instead of hydrodynamic flow as was the case in the previous report. This aspect of our experimental design is particularly significant as it permits the use of cross-sectional channel dimensions significantly shorter than those employed in the current work. Moreover, the use of an electric field for coating purposes enables the integration of functionalities such as electrokinetic preconcentration of analyte molecules during the sample incubation period that can further enhance the capabilities of our assay method. 相似文献

The collision-induced process He + H(2)(+)(v = 0-2; j = 0-3) → He + H + H(+) has been investigated using a time-dependent quantum mechanical wave packet approach, within the centrifugal sudden approximation. The exchange reaction He + H(2)(+) → HeH(+) + H, which has a lower threshold, dominates over the dissociation process over the entire energy range considered in this study. The reaction cross section for both the exchange and dissociation channels and the branching ratio between the two channels have been computed on the McLaughlin-Thompson-Joseph-Sathyamurthy potential-energy surface and compared with the available experimental and quasiclassical trajectory results. 相似文献

The effect of electron beam irradiation on the blends of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and poly dimethyl siloxane rubber (PDMS) prepared over a wide range of compositions starting from 70:30 to 30:70 (LLDPE: PDMS) by varying the radiation doses from 50 to 300 kGy has been studied. The dynamic modulii and dielectric strength of the blends increase on irradiation at 100 kGy as compared to that for the unirradiated blends. Degree of crystallinity and melting behaviour remain unchanged upon irradiation upto a dose of 100 kGy, beyond which it decreases. Thermal stability increases with increase in the proportion of PDMS rubber in the blend as well as on irradiation at 100 kGy. The phase morphology of the blends examined under the SEM exhibit two phase morphology before electron beam irradiation, whereas single phase morphology is observed after electron beam irradiation due to intra- as well as inter-molecular crosslinking leading to a miscible system. 相似文献

We report the Griffiths phase (GP) scenario for isovalent doping in antiferromagnetic La(0.32)Eu(0.68)MnO(3). Rietveld refinement of structural data displays strong crystal structural distortion. The dc and ac magnetic studies nicely demonstrate unambiguous aspects of robust GP. The presence of ferromagnetically correlated spin clusters is found above the transition temperature, T(N). The disorder-driven phase inhomogeneity is correlated to strong structural distortion, giving rise to the GP. This is an unique example in manganite where double exchange interaction does not play any role for the observed phenomenon. 相似文献

We study the effect of the FCNC mediated Z boson in the rare semileptonic baryonic decays Λb → Λl+l-. We consider the model where the standard model fermion sector is extended by an extra vector-like down quark, as a consequence
of which it allows for CP-violating Z mediated flavor changing neutral current at the tree level. We find that due to this non-universal Zbs coupling, the branching ratios of the rare semileptonic Λb decays are enhanced reasonably from their corresponding standard model values and the zero point of the forward-backward
asymmetry for Λb → Λμ+μ- is shifted to the left.
