Previous 19F N.M.R. studies of liquid BF3 have been extended by obtaining the 11B spectrum of BF3 and the 19F spectrum of 10BF3 at various temperatures. Values for the B-F coupling constant and the boron relaxation times have been obtained by computer matching and visual matching of observed and calculated spectra. Relaxation times have the Arrhenius temperature dependence found previously. The temperature dependence of the B-F coupling constant is discussed. Details on a broadband MMIC frequency doubler targeting the MVDS market are presented. The design evolution from an individual pHEMT device to the complete practical doubler realisation is discussed. The doubler MMIC, which has been fabricated using the GMMT H40 GaAs process, has been evaluated in a customised package. An output power of +10 dBm at 40 GHz has been achieved with an associated conversion gain of 1.5 dB. The measured and predicted performance responses are compared. Paper presents a simple method of generating a high-speed short water jet (droplet) by over-compression of the water layer sandwiched between bars with high acoustic impedance. The proposed method allows the creation of short high-speed water jets (droplets) with extremely simple and inexpensive equipment. The explicit tau-leaping procedure attempts to speed up the stochastic simulation of a chemically reacting system by approximating the number of firings of each reaction channel during a chosen time increment tau as a Poisson random variable. Since the Poisson random variable can have arbitrarily large sample values, there is always the possibility that this procedure will cause one or more reaction channels to fire so many times during tau that the population of some reactant species will be driven negative. Two recent papers have shown how that unacceptable occurrence can be avoided by replacing the Poisson random variables with binomial random variables, whose values are naturally bounded. This paper describes a modified Poisson tau-leaping procedure that also avoids negative populations, but is easier to implement than the binomial procedure. The new Poisson procedure also introduces a second control parameter, whose value essentially dials the procedure from the original Poisson tau-leaping at one extreme to the exact stochastic simulation algorithm at the other; therefore, the modified Poisson procedure will generally be more accurate than the original Poisson procedure. 相似文献

Poly‐pyridobisimiazole (M5) single filaments subjected to varying degrees of heat treatment have been analyzed using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) microspectroscopy in transmission mode to detect changes in the state of intermolecular hydrogen bonding as a function of fiber annealing conditions. The FTIR absorbance bands associated with hydrogen bonding in M5 fiber have been identified, and the integrated molar absorption coefficients for the bands of interest have been determined experimentally, which allows to quantify the concentration of N? H vibration groups hydrogen‐bonded (H‐bonded) to water molecules, and the concentration of N? H vibration groups H‐bonded to adjacent polymer chains in the fiber. A dual mechanism kinetic rate expression is used to describe intermolecular H‐bond formation in M5 fiber as a function of annealing conditions, from which an activation energy for H‐bond formation of 14.8 kJ/mol is obtained. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Differential elastic cross sections and polarizations are calculated in a multiple-scattering formalism for proton-4He scattering for energies in the range 0.6–24.0 GeV and for momentum transfers up to 4.0 fm?1. A general, unequivocal procedure for the preparation of specifically substituted 3-aryl-1-naphthaldehydes was developed. Benzylmagnesium bromides with 5-aryl-2, 2-dimethyl-4-pentene-3-ones (12) gave exclusively 1,4-addition products, 5,6-diaryl-2,2-dimethyl-3-hexanones (13). The hexanones on oxidation with peracetic acid gave 3,4-diarylbutanoic acids (14), which were cyclized to tetralones (15). The tetralones on treatment with MeMgI followed by dehydration and dehydrogenation gave 3-aryl-1-methylnaphthalenes (10), which were converted into corresponding aldehydes (11). When benzylmagnesium bromides were added to 4-aryl-3-butene-2-ones (1), mixtures of 1,2 and 1,4-addition products were formed. Further treatment of these mixtures also yielded the desired methylnaphthalenes along with various identified side products. 相似文献
