A simple and efficient way to synthesize peptide-containing silicone materials is described. Silicone oils containing a chosen ratio of bioactive peptide sequences were prepared by acid-catalyzed copolymerization of dichlorodimethylsilane, hybrid dichloromethyl peptidosilane, and Si(vinyl)- or SiH-functionalized monomers. Functionalized silicone oils were first obtained and then, after hydrosilylation cross-linking, bioactive polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-based materials were straightforwardly obtained. The introduction of an antibacterial peptide yielded PDMS materials showing activity against Staphylococcus aureus. PDMS containing RGD ligands showed improved cell-adhesion properties. This generic method was fully compatible with the stability of peptides and thus opened the way to the synthesis of a wide range of biologically active silicones.  相似文献

The intrinsic properties of tetrazine as a π-anion receptor and as an on/off recognition probe merged with H-bond ability of an urea motif into a single architecture constitutes a new generation of well-defined anion receptors. Complexation properties directly benefit from the dual and synergistic contribution of tetrazine and urea. In this study, we report on the synthesis and assessment of binding properties to anions of diverse geometries. Association constants have been predicted by theoretical calculations and evaluated by multiple and complementary experimental techniques including electrospray-mass tandem spectroscopy, NMR, UV-visible, steady state fluorescence spectroscopies and time resolved fluorescence. These results provide the basis for a better understanding of both the complexation and the anion-dependent quenching mechanism.  相似文献

The magnetic layer structure of TlCo2Se2−xSx has been thoroughly re-investigated with neutron powder diffraction. The cobalt magnetic moments are ferromagnetically arranged within the layers, but the interlayer coupling differs profoundly with varying composition (x): the spins in TlCo2Se2 form a helix along the c-axis with a turning-angle of ∼119° at 1.4 K. This kind of helical structure prevails for 0≤x≤1.5 with a gradual decrease of the angle with increasing sulphur content, down to 34°, showing an almost linear relationship with the interlayer distance of Co-Co. For x≥1.75 the interlayer coupling changes to ferromagnetic. Unexpectedly, two helices were found to coexist at x=0.5 and x=1.0. The interaction between adjacent cobalt layers is there characterized by an incommensurate angle (106°, resp., 73°) together with a commensurate angle of 90°. The magnetic structures have been refined as two magnetic phases, each having a characteristic wave vector. A tentative model where the symmetry of the structure and the interlayer distance compete is considered for explaining the simultaneous occurrence of the two kinds of diffraction profile satellites.  相似文献

The perturbation of the racemic equilibrium of luminescent D3 lanthanide(III) complexes by added chiral agents, such as amino acids, may be a useful technique for determining the absolute configuration of the added species. It is shown in this work, however, that simple interpretation of the equilibrium shift of racemic tris-terdentate complexes of Tb(III) with 2,6-pyridine-dicarboxylate by amino acids, as measured by the sign of the resultant circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in terms of specific structural characteristics is not possible. CPL results for a number of derivatized amino acids are also presented, and some insights into the nature of the chiral discriminatory forces that might be exploited in this kind of study are discussed.  相似文献

The sound field inside a model human ear canal has been computed, to show both longitudinal variations along the canal length and transverse variations through cross-sectional slices. Two methods of computation were used. A modified horn equation approach parametrizes the sound field with a single coordinate, the position along a curved center axis-this approach can accommodate the curvature and varying cross-sectional area of the ear canal but cannot compute transverse variations of the sound field. A boundary element method (BEM) was also implemented to compute the full three-dimensional sound field. Over 2000 triangular mesh elements were used to represent the ear canal geometry. For a plane piston source at the entrance plane, the pressure along the curved center axis predicted by the two methods is in good agreement, for frequencies up to 15 kHz, for four different ear canals. The BEM approach, though, reveals spatial variations of sound pressure within each canal cross section. These variations are small below 4 kHz, but increase with frequency, reaching 1.5 dB at 8 kHz and 4.5 dB at 15 kHz. For source configurations that are more realistic than a simple piston, large transverse variations in sound pressure are anticipated in the vicinity of the source.  相似文献

We introduce a new statistic written as a sum of certain ratios of second-order increments of partial sums process of observations, which we call the increment ratio (IR) statistic. The IR statistic can be used for testing nonparametric hypotheses for d-integrated () behavior of time series Xt, including short memory (d=0), (stationary) long-memory and unit roots (d=1). If Sn behaves asymptotically as an (integrated) fractional Brownian motion with parameter , the IR statistic converges to a monotone function Λ(d) of as both the sample size N and the window parameter m increase so that N/m→∞. For Gaussian observations Xt, we obtain a rate of decay of the bias EIR-Λ(d) and a central limit theorem (N/m)1/2(IR-EIR)→N(0,σ2(d)), in the region . Graphs of the functions Λ(d) and σ(d) are included. A simulation study shows that the IR test for short memory (d=0) against stationary long-memory alternatives has good size and power properties and is robust against changes in mean, slowly varying trends and nonstationarities. We apply this statistic to sequences of squares of returns on financial assets and obtain a nuanced picture of the presence of long-memory in asset price volatility.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, C16H23N3O4·CH3CN, was refined using a multipolar atom model transferred from an experimental electron‐density database. The refinement showed some improvement in crystallographic statistical indices compared with the independent atom model. The triazepane ring adopts a twist‐boat conformation. In the crystal structure, the molecule forms intermolecular contacts with 14 different neighbours. There are two N—H...O and one C—H...O intermolecular hydrogen bond.  相似文献

Bacteria reside within biofilms at the infection site, making them extremely difficult to eradicate with conventional wound care products. Bacteria use quorum sensing (QS) systems to regulate biofilm formation, and QS inhibitors (QSIs) have been proposed as promising antibiofilm agents. Despite this, few antimicrobial therapies that interfere with QS exist. Nontoxic hydroxypropyl‐β‐cyclodextrin‐functionalized cellulose gauzes releasing a burst of the antibiotic vancomycin and the QSI hamamelitannin are developed, followed by a sustained release of both. The gauzes affect QS and biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus in an in vitro model of chronic wound infection and can be considered as candidates to be used to prevent wound infection as well as treat infected wounds.

Kinetic studies of PET glycolysis by diethylene glycol (DEG), dipropylene glycol (DPG), glycerol (Gly) and mixtures of these glycols have shown, in a previous study, that the order of reactivity of the glycols differs according to the conditions of temperature and catalysis. Indeed, their global reactivity depends both on their chemical reactivity and physico-chemical properties.Glycolysis of model polyesters which are liquid at the reaction temperature, which allows us to overcome the problem of the polyesters' solubility, were studied to compare the chemical reactivity of these glycols. Three oligoesters were synthesized from dimethyl terephthalate and three different glycols namely triethylene glycol, ethylene glycol and hexanediol to form, respectively, PE3T, OET and PTHD.Results showed that the order of reactivity of the glycols is the same for PET, OET and PTHD but different for PE3T. Indeed, DPG without catalyst has a particular and unexpected behaviour: its reactivity seems to be strongly influenced by the presence of oxygen atoms in the chain.  相似文献

A series of fluorenyl-containing sulfonated poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone)s (SPFEEKK) were synthesized via aromatic nucleophilic substitution polymerization. The sulfonation content (SC) was controlled by the feed ratios of sulfonated and nonsulfonated monomers. Flexible and strong membranes in the sulfonic acid form were obtained from cast membranes in the sodium salt forms by treatment with acid. The thermal properties, water uptake, swelling ratio, water state, oxidative stability, proton conductivity and methanol permeability were investigated. All the polymers had proton conductivities greater than 1 × 10−2 S/cm at room temperature, and the conductivity values of m-SPFEEKK-80 and p-SPFEEKK-80 were up to 1.86 × 10−1 and 1.78 × 10−1 S/cm at 100 °C. This series of polymers also possessed good dimensional stability in water and low methanol crossover.  相似文献
