Chemical preparation, crystal structure, and NMR spectroscopy of a new trans-2,5-dimethylpiperazinium monophosphate are given. This new compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, with the space group P-1 and the following parameters: a = 6.5033(3), b = 7.6942(4), c = 8.1473(5) Å, α = 114.997(3), β = 92.341(3), γ = 113.136(3), V = 329.14(3) Å3, Z = 1, and Dx = 1.565 g cm?3. The crystal structure has been determined and refined to R = 0.030 and R w(F 2) = 0.032 using 1558 independent reflections. The structure can be described as infinite [H2PO4] n n? chains with (C6H16N2)2+ organic cations anchored between adjacent polyanions to form columns of anions and cations running along the b axis. This compound has also been investigated by IR, thermal, and solid-state, 13C and 31P MAS NMR spectroscopies and Ab initio calculations.  相似文献

Rhatany roots (RRs) have been used in indigenous systems of medicines to treat many common illnesses due to the presence of highly active astringent and antiviral biochemical constituents that possess strong therapeutic and pharmacological properties. Due to its widespread use, the accurate knowledge on the elemental composition of this medicinal plant can set a pharmacological research platform to investigate the effect of certain elements, and their ions in mediating the human metabolism and therapy. In this work calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (CF-LIBS) is used to detect the elements present in RRs sample, by analyzing the characteristic emission wavelengths and their respective intensities in the laser induced plasma, without the need for using any calibration standards or methods. Many nutritional elements, which are of human health significance and instrumental in mediating the established biological activities of RRs, were identified in a relative abundance. In addition to this, our analysis identified the trace level of a few toxic elements, whose overdose due to reckless intake wreaks havoc to human health and wellbeing. The reliability of qualitative and quantitative detection of the elements in RR by LIBS were validated by the standard inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP OES), the results of which are in good agreement with LIBS data with better relative accuracy. Also, in order to discriminate, and single out any two elements with the overlapping emission wavelength in LIBS, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was also carried out, which in its own right is in good agreement with the elemental analysis of LIBS in general.  相似文献

The use of insects as a feasible and useful natural product resource is a novel and promising option in alternative medicine. Several components from insects and their larvae have been found to inhibit molecular pathways in different stages of cancer. This study aimed to analyze the effect of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Vespa orientalis larvae on breast cancer MCF7 cells and investigate the underlying mechanisms. Our results showed that individual treatment with 5% aqueous or alcoholic larval extract inhibited MCF7 proliferation but had no cytotoxic effect on normal Vero cells. The anticancer effect was mediated through (1) induction of apoptosis, as indicated by increased expression of apoptotic genes (Bax, caspase3, and p53) and decreased expression of the anti-apoptotic gene Bcl2; (2) suppression of intracellular reactive oxygen species; (3) elevation of antioxidant enzymes (CAT, SOD, and GPx) and upregulation of the antioxidant regulator Nrf2 and its downstream target HO-1; (4) inhibition of migration as revealed by in vitro wound healing assay and downregulation of the migration-related gene MMP9 and upregulation of the anti-migratory gene TIMP1; and (5) downregulation of inflammation-related genes (NFκB and IL8). The aqueous extract exhibited the best anticancer effect with higher antioxidant activities but lower anti-inflammatory properties than the alcoholic extract. HPLC analysis revealed the presence of several flavonoids and phenolic compounds with highest concentrations for resveratrol and naringenin in aqueous extract and rosmarinic acid in alcoholic extract. This is the first report to explain the intracellular pathway by which flavonoids and phenolic compounds-rich extracts of Vespa orientalis larvae could induce MCF7 cell viability loss through the initiation of apoptosis, activation of antioxidants, and inhibition of migration and inflammation. Therefore, these extracts could be used as adjuvants for anticancer drugs and as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents.  相似文献

The efficacy of five compounds of a biopolymer chitosan and Bio-fly (Beauveria bassiana fungus) as biopesticide was evaluated on Ceratitis capitata under laboratory conditions. The inhibitory effects on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and adenosinetriphosphatase (ATPase) as biochemical indicators were also determined in vivo. The results indicated that B. bassiana based Bio-fly exhibited significant toxicity against C. capitata (LC50 = 3008 and 3126 mg/L after 48 h in females and males, respectively) followed by the derivatives of chitosan, N-(4-propylbenzyl)chitosan and N-(2-nitrobenzyl)chitosan. Bio-fly displayed remarkable inhibition of AChE activity (IC50 = 2220 mg/L) while N-(2-chloro,6-flourobenzyl)chitosan, N-(4-propylbenzyl)chitosan and N-(3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl) chitosan had no significant difference in inhibitory action. In adult males, N-(2-nitrobenzyl)chitosan exhibited the highest inhibitory action (IC50 = 6569 mg/L). In addition, the toxic effects of the tested compounds on the activity of ATPase indicated that highly significant inhibition was found with N-(4-propylbenzyl)chitosan with an IC50 of 8194 and 8035 mg/L, in females and males, respectively.  相似文献

A practical, efficient, and inexpensive method for the synthesis of 2‐imidazoline from the reaction of nitriles with ethylenediamine or 1,2‐propanediamine using p‐toluenesulfonic acid or pyridinium p‐toluenesulfonate under reflux conditions is reported. This catalyst can be successfully applied for the chemoselective conversion of dicyanobenzenes to corresponding mono‐ and bis‐imidazolines. The applications of these catalysts are feasible because of easy preparation, easy handling, stability, inexpensive, good activity, and eco‐friendly. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2011).  相似文献

Two iridium(III) soft salts based on ion-paired dinuclear cationic and mononuclear anionic complexes were designed and investigated as phosphorescent emitters for solution processed OLEDs. New dinuclear cationic complexes were prepared with two different bridging ligands, a carbazole and a phenylene spacer. A novel affinity covalent immobilization technique of glucoamylase enzyme onto ρ-benzoquinone-activated alginate beads was presented and compared with traditional entrapment one. Factors affecting the immobilization process such as enzyme concentration, alginate concentration, calcium chloride concentration, cross-linking time, and temperature were studied. No shift in the optimum temperature and pH of immobilized enzymes was observed. In addition, K m values of free and entrapped glucoamylase were found to be almost identical, while the covalently immobilized enzyme shows the lowest affinity for substrate. In accordance, V m value of covalently immobilized enzyme was found lowest among free and immobilized counter parts. On the other hand, the retained activity of covalently immobilized glucoamylase has been improved and was found higher than that of entrapped one. Finally, the industrial applicability of covalently immobilized glucoamylase has been investigated through monitoring both shelf and operational stability characters. The covalently immobilized enzyme kept its activity over 36 days of shelf storage and after 30 repeated use runs. Drying the catalytic beads greatly reduced its activity in the beginning but recovered its lost part during use. In general, the newly developed affinity covalent immobilization technique of glucoamylase onto ρ-benzoquinone-activated alginate carrier is simple yet effective and could be used for the immobilization of some other enzymes especially amylases.  相似文献

ρ-Benzoquinone-activated alginate beads were presented as a new carrier for affinity covalent immobilization of glucoamylase enzyme. Evidences of alginate modification were extracted from FT-IR and thermal gravimetric analysis and supported by morphological changes recognized through SEM examination. Factors affecting the modification process such as ρ-benzoquinone (PBQ) concentration, reaction time, reaction temperature, reaction pH and finally alginate concentration, have been studied. Its influence on the amount of coupled PBQ was consequently correlated to the changes of the catalytic activity and the retained activity of immobilized enzyme, the main parameters judging the success of the immobilization process. The immobilized glucoamylase was found kept almost 80% of its native activity giving proof of non-significant substrate, starch, diffusion limitation. The proposed affinity covalent immobilizing technique would rank among the potential strategies for efficient immobilization of glucoamylase enzyme.  相似文献

We propose to study a EOQ-type inventory model with unreliable supply, with each order containing a random proportion of defective items. Every time an order is received, an acceptance sampling plan is applied to the lot, according to which only a sample is inspected instead of the whole lot. If the sample conforms to the standards, i.e. if the number of imperfect items is below an “acceptance number”, no further screening is performed. Otherwise, the lot is subject to 100% screening. We formulate an integer non-linear mathematical program that integrates inventory and quality decisions into a unified profit model, to jointly determine the optimal lot size and optimal sampling plan, characterized by a sample size, and an acceptance number. The optimal decisions are determined in a way to achieve a certain average outgoing quality limit (AOQL), which is the highest proportion of defective items in the outgoing material sold to customers. We provide a counter-example demonstrating that the expected profit function, objective of the mathematical program, is not jointly concave in the lot and sample size. However, we show that for a given sampling plan, the expected profit function is concave in the lot size. A solution procedure is presented to compute the optimal solution. Numerical analysis is provided to gain managerial insights by analyzing the impact of changing various model parameters on the optimal solution. We also show numerically that the optimal profit determined using this model is significantly higher when compared to the optimal profit obtained using Salameh and Jaber (2000)’s [1] model, indicating much higher profits when acceptance sampling is used.  相似文献
