In the present study, a hydrothermal method was developed to prepare nalidixic acid-loaded [Zn2(bdc)2(dabco)] metal–organic frameworks. The self-assembly of primary building blocks was used for synthesis of [Zn2(bdc)2(dabco)] at room temperature. The zinc metal ion was used as a connector, 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate (bdc) as a chelating ligand, and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (dabco) as a bridging ligand. The metal organic frameworks were used as the carriers for drug delivery system, where it could entrap nalidixic acid as a model drug. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV–vis), BET nitrogen adsorption–desorption method, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used for characterization of samples. The drug release was also monitored, and 96 and 62% of the loaded drug were released over 120 h at pH values of 5.0 and 7.4, respectively. The antimicrobial activities of [Zn2(bdc)2(dabco)] and nalidixic acid-loaded [Zn2(bdc)2(dabco)] were tested against Gram-positive and Gram-negative species. The results revealed that this nanoscale metal organic framework may be regarded as a simple and stable platform for drug release in the treatment of infectious diseases.  相似文献

A nanostructured Ni/Pd-Ni catalyst with high activity for methanol oxidation in alkaline solution was prepared by electrodeposition followed by galvanic replacement, that is, electrodeposition of Ni-Zn on a Ni coating with subsequent replacement of the Zn by Pd at the open circuit potential in a Pd-containing alkaline solution. The surface morphology and composition of the coatings were examined by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The Ni/Pd-Ni coatings were porous and were composed of discrete Pd nanoparticles of about 58 nm. The electrocatalytic activity of the Ni/Pd-Ni electrodes for the oxidation of methanol was examined by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The onset potentials for methanol oxidation on Ni/Pd-Ni were 0.077 V and 0.884 V, which were lower than those for flat Pd and smooth Ni electrodes, respectively. The anodic peak current densities of these electrodes were 4.33 and 8.34 times higher than those of flat Pd (58.4 mA/cm2 vs 13.47 mA/cm2) and smooth Ni (58.4 mA/cm2 vs 7 mA/cm2). The nanostructured Ni/Pd-Ni electrode is a promising catalyst for methanol oxidation in alkaline media for fuel cell application.  相似文献

In this article, a novel triple-stimuli hydrogel was prepared by simultaneous formation of super paramagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPION) and crosslinking of poly (acrylic acid) grafted onto kappa carrageenan (κC-g-PAA). The structure, thermal stability, surface morphology, and magnetic property of the κC-g-PAA/SPION hydrogel were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM–EDAX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Moreover, swelling capacity of the obtained hydrogel was measured at different temperature, pH, and magnetic-field to assess the sensitivity of κC-g-PAA/SPION hydrogel. This synthetic hydrogel was also examined as a controlled drug delivery system and defrasirox release was investigated at different temperature, pH, and magnetic-field. The in vitro antibacterial activity of κC-g-PAA/SPION hydrogel was studied against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria where the results showed no antibacterial activity of this new hydrogel. In vitro biocompatibility experiments were undertaken using human bladder epithelial cell line HTB 5637. These results indicated the synthesized κC-g-PAA/SPION hydrogel are nontoxic that will be useful for biomedical applications.

1,10‐Phenanthroline reacts with malonitrile and aldehydes in the presence of isocyanides as domino‐Knoevenagel‐nucleophilic cycloaddition for generation of a new class of 10‐(aryl)‐11‐(alkyl‐ or arylamino‐)pyrrolo[1,2‐a][1,10]phenanthroline‐9‐carbonitrile compounds in excellent yield. SBR compounds including the N-isopropyl-N’-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine-modified clay(organoclay) were prepared.Effects of modified clay and antioxidant(IPPD) contents on mechanical and rheological properties of SBR composites were studied.FTIR results confirmed that the clay was chemically modified by IPPD and changed into an organoclay.X-ray diffraction(XRD) results confirmed the increase in interlayer distance of the clay due to the insertion of IPPD.Rheological and cure characteristics of SBR compounds were determined using RPA(Rubber Process Analyzer) and rheometer.Scorch time and cure time of SBR compounds decreased with introduction of the organoclay.Mechanical properties and heat aging resistance of the SBR composites were improved significantly by incorporation of the organoclay.  相似文献

A new method is described for the efficient and high regioselective conversion of epoxides to symmetrical and unsymmetrical vic-dihalides in high yields using chlorodiphenylphosphine and N-halosuccinimides under solvent-free and neutral conditions and at room temperature.
