Structural and electronic properties of C60 fullerene nano-cages doped with GaP, GaN, AlP, and AlN were performed by density functional theory (DFT) at the B3LYP method and 6-31G** basis set. The results exhibit that AlP-doped fullerene has the most gap energy (2.383 eV), and the lowest one refers to GaN (2.283 eV), and there is not considerable difference in the range of gap energies. Therefore, it is clear that GaN has the most potential to translate electron. Hence, the use of GaN-doped fullerene in electronical devices could be more acceptable than those of AlN, AlP, and GaP. To examine the effect of the corresponding doping on the thermodynamic parameters of these systems, we have investigated parameters such as chemical potential, chemical hardness, electrophilicity, and the highest electronic charge transferred in the related structures.  相似文献

Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis and isothermal thermogravimetry yield useful information on the temperature dependence of the mechanical properties and thermal stability of silicone rubbers. In the thermal mechanical relaxation spectra, only one characteristic phenomenon may be observed. Isothermal thermogravimetry reveals that the thermal degradation is a first-order reaction. The experimental results provide a possibility for the calculation of overall (apparent) reaction rate constants characteristic of the thermal decomposition process, and for the calculation of half-time values.  相似文献

A PVC membrane containing 4-amino-6-methyl-1,2,4-triazin-3,5-dithione (AMTD) as a suitable ionophore, exhibits a Nernstian response for Cu2+ ions over a wide concentration range up to 1 × 10−1 and 1 × 10−6 M, with a detection limit of 7.5 × 10−7 M in the pH range 3.0–7.5. It has a fast response time (<15 s) and can be used for at least 12 weeks without any major deviation in the potential. The electrode revealed a very good selectivity with respect to all common alkali, alkaline-earth, transition, and heavy-metal ions. It was successfully applied to the recovery of copper ions from wastewater. The electrode was also used as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of Cu(II) ions with EDTA. The utilization of fermented foods with health-promoting properties is becoming more popular around the world. Consequently, kefir, a fermented milk beverage made from kefir grains, was shown in numerous studies to be a probiotic product providing significant health benefits. Herein, we assessed the antibacterial and antifungal potential of kefir against a variety of pathogenic bacteria and fungi. This study also showed the effectiveness of kefir in healing wounds in human gastric epithelial cells (GES-1) by (80.78%) compared with control (55.75%) within 48 h. The quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) results of kefir-treated HCV- or HBV- infected cells found that 200 µg/mL of kefir can eliminate 92.36% of HCV and 75.71% of HBV relative to the untreated infected cells, whereas 800 µg/mL (the highest concentration) completely eradicated HCV and HBV. Moreover, the estimated IC50 values of kefir, at which HCV and HBV were eradicated by 50%, were 63.84 ± 5.81 µg/mL and 224.02 ± 14.36 µg/mL, correspondingly. Kefir can significantly suppress the elevation of TNF-α and upregulate IL-10 and INF-γ in both treated HCV- and HBV-infected cells. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of kefir revealed the presence of numerous active metabolites which mainly contribute to the antimicrobial, antiviral, and immunomodulatory activities. This study demonstrated, for the first time, the anti-HBV efficacy of kefir while also illustrating the immunomodulatory impact in the treated HBV-infected cells. Accordingly, kefir represents a potent antiviral agent against both viral hepatitis C and B, as well as having antimicrobial and wound healing potential.  相似文献

We study holographic isotropization of an anisotropic homogeneous non-Abelian strongly coupled plasma in the presence of Gauss–Bonnet corrections. It was verified before that one can linearize Einstein’s equations around the final black hole background and simplify the complicated setup. Using this approach, we study the expectation value of the boundary stress tensor. Although we consider small values of the Gauss–Bonnet coupling constant, it is found that finite coupling leads to significant increasing of the thermalization time. By including higher order corrections in linearization, we extend the results to study the effect of the Gauss–Bonnet coupling on the entropy production on the event horizon.  相似文献
