A bacteriocin-producing strain (9,000 AU/ml) was isolated from the rhizosphere of Algerian healthy plants Ononis angustissima Lam. and identified as Bacillus clausii strain GM17. The bacteriocin, called Bac-GM17, was purified from the culture supernatant after heat treatment, ammonium sulfate precipitation, Sephadex G-50 chromatography and Mono Q fast-performance liquid chromatography (FPLC). Based on matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry analysis, the purified Bac-GM17 is a monomer protein with a molecular mass of 5,158.11 Da. The N-terminal sequencing allowed for the straightforward identification of its first 20 residues, which were of pure bacteriocin. It also revealed that this bacteriocin contained a unique sequence, namely DWTCSKWSCLVCDDCSVELT, which suggests the identification of a novel compound. Bac-GM17 was extremely heat stable (20 min at 120 °C) and was stable within the pH range (3–9). It was found to be resistant to the proteolytic action of trypsin, pepsin, papain, pronase E, and proteinase K. It was also noted to display a bactericidal mode of action against Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58 and a fungistatic mode of action against Candida tropicalis R2 CIP203. 相似文献
Easy and direct : Regioselective Mizoroki–Heck‐coupling reactions using heteroaromatic tosylates as electrophiles were achieved, thus providing direct and easy access to highly functionalized α‐heteroarylvinyl amides and ethers.
We examine the effect of the electron exchange-correlation on weak and arbitrary amplitude quantum dust ion-acoustic(QDIA) solitons. The reduced quantum hydrodynamic(QHD) model is used.Carrying out a fully nonlinear analysis,it is found that the effect of the exchange-correlation on the main quantities for solitary-wave propagation can be quite important. In particular,it may be noted that the arbitrary amplitude QDIA soliton experiences a spreading as the phenomenon of exchange-correlation becomes effective.Furthermore, our results show that the exchange-correlation effects inhibit the formation of the flat-bottomed solitons and do not favor their emergence. It turns out that exchangecorrelation and quantum diffraction may act concurrently to set up the conditions for the existence of the QDIA solitary waves. Our results complement and provide new insight into our previously published work on this problem. 相似文献
Numerical simulations are performed to investigate the breakup of air bubble in flow focusing configuration; the CLSVOF (coupled level set with volume of fluid) method is employed to track the interface, which allows a better identification of the liquid–gas interface via a function called level set. The CFD simulations showed that the velocity ratio, the interfacial tension, the outer channel diameter, the continuous phase viscosity, the orifice width and length play an important role in the determination of the air bubble’s size and shape. However, at low capillary number, increasing the flow velocity ratio gives a smaller bubble size in shorter time, while the increase in interfacial tension leads to a bigger bubble. Moreover, the carrier fluid is found to slightly affect the bubbling mechanism, while the smallest bubbles were obtained with the smallest orifice size. In addition, three breakup regimes are observed in this device: disc-bubble (DB), elongated bubble (EB) and the slug bubble (SB) regime flows. This work also demonstrates that the CLSVOF is an effective method to simulate the bubbles breakup in flow focusing geometry. In addition, a comparison of our computational simulations with available experimental results reveals reasonably good agreement.
The Thomas–Fermi approach for self-gravitating fermions is revisited within the theoretical framework of the q-statistics . Starting from the q-deformation of the Fermi–Dirac distribution function, a generalized Thomas–Fermi equation is derived. It is shown that the Tsallis entropy preserves a scaling property of this equation. The q-statistical approach to Jeans’ instability in a system of self-gravitating fermions is also addressed. The dependence of the Jeans’ wavenumber (or the Jeans length) on the parameter q is traced. It is found that the q-statistics makes the Fermionic system unstable at scales shorter than the standard Jeans length. 相似文献
To date, xylanases have expanded their use in many processing industries, such as pulp, paper, food, and textile. This study aimed the production and partial characterization of a thermostable xylanase from a novel thermophilic anaerobic bacterium Caldicoprobacter algeriensis strain TH7C1T isolated from a northeast hot spring in Algeria. The obtained results showed that C. algeriensis xylanase seems not to be correlated with the biomass growth profile whereas the maximum enzyme production (140.0 U/ml) was recorded in stationary phase (18 h). The temperature and pH for optimal activities were 70 °C and 11.0, respectively. The enzyme was found to be stable at 50, 60, 70, and 80 °C, with a half-life of 10, 9, 8, and 4 h, respectively. Influence of metal ions on enzyme activity revealed that Ca+2 enhances greatly the relative activity to 151.3 %; whereas Hg2+ inhibited significantly the enzyme. At the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the production of xylanase by the thermophilic bacterium C. algeriensis. This thermo- and alkaline-tolerant xylanase could be used in pulp bleaching process. 相似文献
