In capillary systems with narrow pores the Helmholtz electrochemical double layer located at the pore wall extends over the entire cross section of the pores. It loses its character as the “charge on the wall”. It will be shown that not only the electrokinetic phenomena but also the electrical conductivity and the dialysis potential of membranes with narrow pores can be understood from the same point of view, namely: the electrolyte solution in the pores of a membrane with narrow pores is considered to be an approximately homogeneous solution in contact with immobilised charges located at the pore wall. In this case the electrochemical equations contain the fixed ion concentration as a parameter instead of the ζ potential. This makes it possible to describe quantitatively to a good approximation data on the electroosmosis, the electrical conductivity, the streaming potential and the dialysis potential taken from the literature, as well as results of our own measurements, by using a single membrane constant.  相似文献

Summary: The integration of gradients of enzyme activity in microstructured biosensor arrays enables intrinsic on‐line quality control of biosensor performance. Multiple sensor elements with different compositions and hence varying responses for the same analyte are evaluated as a basis for improving data reliability. The formation of glucose oxidase/polymer microstructures using a piezo microdispenser and their examination by scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) are used to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach.

A procedure is developed that allows the calculation of chain-length distributions of polymers prepared by periodic modulation of the initiation process considering concomitant continuous initiation. For the case of a (pseudostationary) laser-pulse initiated polymerization process a closed solution could be derived for the pseudostationary radical concentration and for the chain-length distribution of dead polymer terminated by disproportionation or stabilized by chain-transfer to monomer or solvent. The analysability of the characteristic peaks appearing in the chain-length distributions of laser-pulse initiated polymers (which is the key for determining the rate constant kp) is only moderately influenced by continuous thermal radical formation if the extent of this side reaction is not pathologically large, i.e. as long as the amount of primary radicals created by the laser-pulse appreciably exceeds that produced in the dark reaction.  相似文献

Abstract

The topochemical polymerization of diacetylenes and.the dimerization of cinnamic acid derivatives have been studied in Langmuir-Blodgett-multilayers. The resulting polymer films are of controlled thickness and morphology and exhibit excellent stability. Structure, morphology and phase changes occuring in monomer and polymer films have been investigated using spectroscopic methods, electron and x-ray diffraction. Possible applications of the polymer films are discussed.  相似文献

As a follow-up to earlier investigations into the high-pressure polymerization of ethylene with symmetrically substituted bifunctional peroxides, the suitability of 2,5-dimethylhexane-2-t-butylperoxy-5-perpivalate, a peroxide with different substituents on both O—O groups, has been tested. The polymerization tests were carried out in continuous operation in a stirred autoclave at 1700 bar, 240–285°C, a residence time of 60 s, and an initiator concentration of 3–25 mol ppm in the feed. Conversions of up to 30% were achieved. The specific initiator consumption was 0.2–1 g initiator per kg polyethylene. The density of the polymers obtained was 0.915–0.925 g/mL, their average molecular weight was 40 × 103 to 60 × 103, and their melt flow index was 0.001–100 g/10 min. On the basis of the molecular weight distribution, polydispersities of 4–7 were obtained.  相似文献

The reaction of dimethylzinc and tri(tert‐butyl)silylphosphane in toluene yielded dimeric methylzinc tri(tert‐butyl)silylphosphanide ( 1 ) which crystallized tetrameric. Compound 1 was deprotonated with sodium in DME and the solvent‐separated dimeric ion pair [(dme)3Na]+ [(dme)Na(MeZn)2(μ‐PSitBu3)2]? ( 2 ) was isolated. The reaction of 1 in THF with two equivalents of potassium and one equivalent of tri(tert‐butyl)silylphosphane gave dimeric [{tBu3Si(H)P}{(thf)2K}2(MeZn)(PSitBu3)]2 ( 3 ). Both of these phosphanylzincates contain Zn2P2 cycles with Zn‐P bond lengths of approximately 237 pm, whereas in 1 larger Zn‐P bond lengths of 248.5 pm were found due to the larger coordination numbers of the phosphorus and zinc atoms.  相似文献

Stable carbenes derived from thiazole, 1H-imidazole, and 4H-1,2,4-triazole are efficient catalysts for benzointype condensations of formaldehyde. Catalysts derived from N-substituted thiazolium salts trimerize formaldehyde to dihydroxyacetone ( II ). Catalysts based on 1,4-disubstituted 4H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ium salts give glycolaldehyde ( I ) as the main product and no II , whereas N,N′-disubstituted 1H-imidazol-3-ium salts yield mixtures of both products. The isolation of several intermediates in the catalytic cycle provide a better insight into the reaction mechanism.  相似文献

The 3-trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy-1-hexeniminium triflate 1 reacts with two equivalents of an aliphatic nitrile or of benzonitrile to give the 4-(2-diethylaminovinyl)pyrimidinediium bis(triflates) 4 , which can be deprotonated to give the monoprotonated or neutral pyrimidines 5 and 6 , respectively. When the related 1-phenyl-substituted iminium salt 7 is heated in acetonitrile at 140°, 1,5-cyclization of the cation leading to indane derivative 8 competes with formation of the pyrimidinium salt 9 . X-ray crystal structure determination reveals significant differences in the bond lengths of mono-and diprotonated 4-(2-diethylaminovinyl)pyrimidines 5a and 4a .  相似文献

The synthesis of a block codendrimer (g3-PBE-b-g3-PMDC), composed of a third-generation poly(benzyl ether) (PBE) monodendron and an aliphatic polyether (PMDC) monodendron is reported. In THF/diiospropyl ether (1:1) the PMDC block functions as a "hydrophilic" block, while the PBE acts as a "hydrophobic" block. The codendrimer can form interdigitated layers leading to vesicle formation. Tapping mode atomic force microscopy (AFM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to characterize the vesicles. The effect of molecular architecture on the formation of the interdigitated layers and vesicles was studied.  相似文献

Background levels of platinum were determined in human autopsy tissues taken from five individuals. The investigated specimens were lung, liver and kidney. Sample preparation involved microwave digestion followed by an open vessel treatment. Inductively-coupled plasma sector field mass spectrometry (ICP-SFMS) was applied in combination with an ultrasonic nebulization/membrane desolvation system for sample introduction. Isotope dilution analysis was employed for accurate quantification of platinum. Excellent procedural detection limits (3 s validation) of 20, 20 and 34 pg g–1 dry weight were obtained for lung, liver and kidney tissue, respectively. Due to the lack of appropriate biological reference material, road dust (BCR-723) was used for method validation. Platinum levels ranging between 0.03 and 1.42 ng g–1 were determined in the investigated samples. The platinum concentrations observed in human lung tissue may reflect the increasing atmospheric background levels of platinum originating from car catalysts. The presence of platinum in kidney and liver tissue samples clearly indicates the bioavailability of the element.  相似文献
