Abstract

A novel copillar[4+1]arene incorporating alkylthiol substituents was synthesised in three steps and structurally characterised as the first example of a pillar[n]arene to incorporate two terminal thiols on the same aromatic ring. The macrocycle was attached to gold electrodes through a standard dipping technique. Cyclic voltammetry demonstrated selectivity for Li+ over other alkali metal cations. The copillar[4+1]arene was also used as a capping agent in the preparation of 3 nm gold nanoparticles.  相似文献

An investigation on the sediment composition and grain size was carried out along the Bormida river (Piedmont, Northern Italy). The samples were taken both in the riverbed and on its banks. Multivariate statistical exploratory methods permitted to identify possible sources of primary pollution. In particular, principal component analysis (PCA) showed that there are probably at least three anthropogenic main causes of pollution, one connected with Cr, Ni and Sn, the second with cadmium and the last one with mercury. Some correlations were found between heavy metal ion concentrations and organic matter and/or the sediment grain size. Differences between the samples collected in the riverbed and on the banks were identified and the relationships between the principal components and the distance of the samples from the riverbed and from the hot spot represented by the ACNA industrial site were also analyzed.  相似文献

An undescribed 5,6-dihydropyran-2-one, namely diplopyrone C, was isolated and characterized from the cultures of an isolate of the fungus Diplodia corticola recovered from Quercus suber in Algeria. The structure and relative stereostructure of (5S,6S,7Z,9S,10S)-5-hydroxy-6-(2-(3-methyloxiran-2-yl)vinyl)-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-2-one were assigned essentially based on NMR and MS data. Furthermore, ten known compounds were isolated and identified in the same cultures. The most abundant product, the tetracyclic pimarane diterpene sphaeropsidin A, was tested for insecticidal effects against the model sucking aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum. Results showed a toxic dose-dependent oral activity of sphaeropsidin A, with an LC50 of 9.64 mM.  相似文献

Plant-derived compounds are emerging as an alternative choice to synthetic fungicides. Chloroform–methanol extract, obtained from the bark of Zanthoxylum rhoifolium, a member of Rutaceae, showed a fungistatic effect on Botrytis cinerea, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Alternaria alternata, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Clonostachys rosea, when added to the growth medium at different concentrations. A fraction obtained by gel separation and containing the alkaloid O-Methylcapaurine showed significant fungistatic effect against B. cinerea and S. sclerotiorum, two of the most destructive phytopathogenic fungi. The underlying mechanism of such an inhibition was further investigated in B. cinerea, a fungus highly prone to develop fungicide resistance, by analysing the expression levels of a set of genes (BcatrB, P450, CYP51 and TOR). O-Methylcapaurine inhibited the expression of all the analysed genes. In particular, the expression of BcatrB gene, encoding a membrane drug transporter involved in the resistance to a wide range of xenobiotic compounds, was strongly inhibited (91%).  相似文献

Phosphoproteomics, nowadays, represents a front line in functional proteomics as testified by the number of papers recently appearing in the literature. In an attempt to improve and simplify the methods so far suggested we have set up a simple isotope-coded approach to label and quantitate phospho-Ser/-Thr residues in protein mixtures. First of all, after appropriate oxidation of cysteine/cystine residues followed by tryptic hydrolysis, we have optimised and simplified the beta-elimination reaction to get the corresponding alkene moiety from the phosphate esters. This was achieved by (a) separating the elimination reaction from the addition reaction, (b) the use of Ba(OH)(2) as alkali reagent and (c) its further elimination by the simple addition of solid CO(2) to the peptide mixture. The Michael reaction was then performed, after the removal of BaCO(3) by centrifugation, by adding dithiothreitol (DTT) to the peptide mixture. Finally, the direct purification of the modified phosphopeptides was performed on a thiol-sepharose column. The availability of fully deuterated DTT, introducing a 6 Da difference with respect to the non-deuterated species, allows quantitation of the differential extent of signalling modification when analysed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry. The entire procedure has been set up by using bovine alpha-casein, and resulted in the identification of all the phosphorylated tryptic peptides, including the tetraphosphorylated peptides, which escaped all previously reported procedures  相似文献

Particular attention are recently receiving antimicrobial agents added as preservatives in hygiene and cosmetics commercial products, since some of them are suspected to be harmful to the human health. The preservatives used belong to different classes of chemical species and are generally used in their mixtures. Multi-component methods able to simultaneously determinate species with different chemical structure are therefore highly required in quality control analysis. This paper presents an ion interaction RP-HPLC method for the simultaneous separation of the 20 typical antimicrobial agents most used in cosmetics and hygiene products, that are: benzoic acid, salicylic acid, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, butyl-, benzyl-benzoate, methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, butyl-, benzyl-paraben, o-phenyl-phenol, 4-chloro-m-cresol, triclocarban, dehydroacetic acid, bronopol, sodium pyrithione and chlorhexidine. For the development of the method and the optimization of the chromatographic conditions, an experimental design was planned and models were built by the use of artificial neural network to correlate the retention time of each analyte to the variables and their interactions. The neuronal models developed showed good predictive ability and were used, by a grid search algorithm, to optimize the chromatographic conditions for the separation of the mixture.  相似文献

The paper deals with trajectory tracking for a flexible spacecraft, subject to a gravity-gradient disturbance, under parameter uncertainties. The controls are gas jets and reaction wheels, and the measured variables describe the attitude and angular velocity of the rigid part. The flexible dynamics is treated as an additional disturbance acting on a rigid structure. First, an adaptive control is designed with only the gravity-gradient disturbance acting on the spacecraft; second, it is proved to be effective also in the presence of disturbance due to the flexibility, provided that appropriate robustness conditions on the controller gains are satisfied. These conditions use partial knowledge of the parameters describing the elastic dynamics. Simulations show the good performance of such control scheme and demonstrate its applicability even in the presence of input saturation.  相似文献

Tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) is based on the optical excitation of localized surface plasmons in the tip-substrate cavity, which provides a large but local field enhancement near the tip apex. We report on TERS with smooth single crystalline surfaces as substrates. The adsorbates were CN- ions at Au(111) and malachite green isothiocyanate (MGITC) molecules at Au(111) and Pt(110) using either Au or Ir tips. The data analysis yields Raman enhancements of about 4 x 10(5) for CN- and up to 10(6) for MGITC at Au(111) with a Au tip, probing an area of less than 100 nm radius.  相似文献

The main interpretations of the quantum-mechanical wave function are presented emphasizing how they can be divided into two ensembles: The ones that deny and the other ones that attribute a form of reality to quantum waves. It is also shown why these waves cannot be classical and must be submitted to the restriction of the complementarity principle. Applying the concept of smooth complementarity, it is shown that there can be no reason to attribute reality only to the events and not to the wave or to the initial state of a given system. Thereafter, an experiment proposed by the authors is presented, where it is shown that the wave-like behaviour allows predictions that are not allowed on the grounds of a particle-like behaviour.
