Molecule-based solids represent a rare opportunity to combine, adjust, and interrelate structural and physical functionalities to develop multifunctional materials. Here we report on a series of porous supramolecular magnets whose magnetic properties are related to their sorption state. A family of magnets of the formula [{Mn(HL)(H2O)}2Mn{Mo(CN)7}2].2H2O have been obtained by assembling the heptacyano-metalate building unit {Mo(CN)7}4- with Mn(II) in the presence of protonated N,N-dimethylalaninol (L) as ligand, the latter being either as a racemic mixture or as a chiral R- or S-enantiomer. The resulting magnets possess an open framework structure and exhibit a TC with a switching behavior (TC = 85 K <--> 106 K) as a function of the hydration state. Moreover, chiral magnets are formed with the optically active ligands. The H2O and gas (N2, CO2, CO) sorption features, the magnetic behavior of both the hydrated and dehydrated magnets, and the crystal structures of the hydrated chiral (S) and racemic magnets are described.  相似文献

Cationic amidotitanocene complexes [Cp2Ti(NPhAr)][B(C6F5)4] (Cp=η5-C5H5; Ar=phenyl ( 1 a ), p-tolyl ( 1 b ), p-anisyl ( 1 c )) were isolated. The bonding situation was studied by DFT (Density Functional Theory) using EDA-NOCV (Energy Decomposition Analysis with Natural Orbitals for Chemical Valence). The polar Ti−N bond in 1 a–c features an unusual inversion of σ and π bond strengths responsible for the balance between stability and reactivity in these coordinatively unsaturated species. In solution, 1 a–c undergo photolytic Ti−N cleavage to release Ti(III) species and aminyl radicals ⋅ NPhAr. Reaction of 1 b with H3BNHMe2 results in fast homolytic Ti−N cleavage to give [Cp2Ti(H3BNHMe2)][B(C6F5)4] ( 3 ). 1 a–c are highly active precatalysts in olefin hydrogenation and silanes/amines cross-dehydrogenative coupling, whilst 3 efficiently catalyzes amine-borane dehydrogenation. The mechanism of olefin hydrogenation was studied by DFT and the cooperative H2 activation key step was disclosed using the Activation Strain Model (ASM).  相似文献

In this review, the experimental set-up and functional characteristics of single-wavelength and broad-band femtosecond upconversion spectrophotofluorometers developed in our laboratory are described. We discuss applications of this technique to biophysical problems, such as ultrafast fluorescence quenching and solvation dynamics of tryptophan, peptides, proteins, reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH), and nucleic acids. In the tryptophan dynamics field, especially for proteins, two types of solvation dynamics on different time scales have been well explored: ~1 ps for bulk water, and tens of picoseconds for “biological water”, a term that combines effects of water and macromolecule dynamics. In addition, some proteins also show quasi-static self-quenching (QSSQ) phenomena. Interestingly, in our more recent work, we also find that similar mixtures of quenching and solvation dynamics occur for the metabolic cofactor NADH. In this review, we add a brief overview of the emerging development of fluorescent RNA aptamers and their potential application to live cell imaging, while noting how ultrafast measurement may speed their optimization.  相似文献

The natural phenomenon of drug resistance is a widespread issue that hampers the performance of drugs in many major clinical indications. Antibacterial and antifungal drugs are affected, as well as compounds for the treatment of cancer, viral infections, or parasitic diseases. Despite the very diverse set of biological targets and organisms involved in the development of drug resistance, the underlying molecular mechanisms have been identified to understand the emergence of resistance and to overcome this detrimental process. Detailed structural information on the root causes for drug resistance is nowadays frequently available, so next‐generation drugs can be designed that are anticipated to suffer less from resistance. This knowledge‐based approach is essential for fighting the inevitable occurrence of drug resistance.  相似文献

Internationally distributed organic and inorganic oxygen isotopic reference materials have been calibrated by six laboratories carrying out more than 5300 measurements using a variety of high‐temperature conversion techniques (HTC) a in an evaluation sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). To aid in the calibration of these reference materials, which span more than 125‰, an artificially enriched reference water (δ18O of +78.91‰) and two barium sulfates (one depleted and one enriched in 18O) were prepared and calibrated relative to VSMOW2 b and SLAP reference waters. These materials were used to calibrate the other isotopic reference materials in this study, which yielded:

The seemingly large estimated combined uncertainties arise from differences in instrumentation and methodology and difficulty in accounting for all measurement bias. They are composed of the 3‐fold standard errors directly calculated from the measurements and provision for systematic errors discussed in this paper. A primary conclusion of this study is that nitrate samples analyzed for δ18O should be analyzed with internationally distributed isotopic nitrates, and likewise for sulfates and organics. Authors reporting relative differences of oxygen‐isotope ratios (δ18O) of nitrates, sulfates, or organic material should explicitly state in their reports the δ18O values of two or more internationally distributed nitrates (USGS34, IAEA‐NO‐3, and USGS35), sulfates (IAEA‐SO‐5, IAEA‐SO‐6, and NBS 127), or organic material (IAEA‐601 benzoic acid, IAEA‐602 benzoic acid, and IAEA‐600 caffeine), as appropriate to the material being analyzed, had these reference materials been analyzed with unknowns. This procedure ensures that readers will be able to normalize the δ18O values at a later time should it become necessary. The high‐temperature reduction technique for analyzing δ18O and δ2H is not as widely applicable as the well‐established combustion technique for carbon and nitrogen stable isotope determination. To obtain the most reliable stable isotope data, materials should be treated in an identical fashion; within the same sequence of analyses, samples should be compared with working reference materials that are as similar in nature and in isotopic composition as feasible. The silyl ethers (siloxanes) Me4? xSi(OC6H5CN)x (x = 1–4) (14), O(Si(OC6H4CN) (Me)2)2 (5), and Me3Si–O–C6F4CN (6) have been synthesized by the reaction of the respective p-hydroxybenzonitriles and chlorosilanes in the presence of N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) as hydrogen chloride acceptor. All compounds have been fully characterized by CHN-analysis, melting point, IR, Raman, mass spectroscopy, and 1H, 13C, 29Si NMR spectroscopy. Furthermore, the crystal structures of these compounds—with the exception of Me2Si(OC6H5CN)2, which is a liquid—were determined by X-ray diffractometry.  相似文献

Possibilities of a multicell isoperibolic-semiadiabatic calorimeter application for the measurement of hydration heat and maximum temperature reached in mixtures of various compositions during their setting and early stages of hardening are presented. Measurements were aimed to determine the impact of selected components?? content on the course of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) hydration. The following components were selected for the determination of the hydration behaviour in mixtures: very finely ground granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS), silica fume (microsilica, SF), finely ground quartz sand (FGQ), and calcined bauxite (CB). A commercial polycarboxylate type superplasticizer was also added to the selected mixtures. All maximum temperatures measured for selected mineral components were lower than that reached for cement. The maximum temperature increased with the decreasing amount of components in the mixture for all components except for silica fume. For all components, except for CB, the values of total released heat were higher than those for pure Portland cement samples.  相似文献

READY (REActive DYnamics) is a program for studying reactive dynamic systems using a global potential energy surface (PES) built from previously existing PESs corresponding to each of the most important elementary reactions present in the system. We present an application to the combustion dynamics of a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen using accurate PESs for all the systems involving up to four oxygen and hydrogen atoms. Results at the temperature of 4000 K and pressure of 2 atm are presented and compared with model based on rate constants. Drawbacks and advantages of this approach are discussed and future directions of research are pointed out. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

A series of hitherto unknown (1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazol)-(E)-2-methyl-but-2-enyl nucleosides phosphonate prodrugs bearing 4-substituted-1,2,3-triazoles were prepared in a straight approach through an olefin acyclic cross metathesis as the key synthetic step. All novel compounds were evaluated for their antiviral activities against HBV, HIV and SARS-CoV-2. Among these molecules, only compound 15j, a hexadecyloxypropyl (HDP)/(isopropyloxycarbonyl-oxymethyl)-ester (POC) prodrug, showed activity against HBV in Huh7 cell cultures with 62% inhibition at 10 μM, without significant cytotoxicity (IC50 = 66.4 μM in HepG2 cells, IC50 = 43.1 μM in HepG2 cells) at 10 μM.  相似文献
