High-temperature silica-generating flames were probed with 266 nm plane, linearly polarized light to produce laser-induced emission spectra with prominent peaks at the blue- and red-shifted sides from the probe wavelength. The radiation induced is ascribed to silicon monoxide (SiO) present in the flame, and appears to be caused by a combination of fluorescence and near-resonance-enhanced Raman scattering. The signal contribution due to strongly depolarized radiation near the probe wavelength complicates extraction of size information based on Rayleigh- and Mie-scattering in investigations of silica nanoparticle formation and growth in flames where temperatures are above 2000 K, oxygen partial pressures are moderate and the particulate matter is in its early stages of evolution. However, the observed radiative process may have utility as the basis for temporally and spatially resolved species and temperature diagnostics. 相似文献

The concept of density-weighted imaging and parallel acquisition for effective density-weighted (PLANED) imaging was transferred to saturation recovery (SR) sequences, in order to increase the SNR in first-pass myocardial perfusion imaging. Filtering in combination with density-weighted imaging allows SNR-optimized data weighting and the free choice of the corresponding spatial response function (SRF) simultaneously. This method was evaluated in simulations and applied successfully to phantom and in vivo first-pass myocardial perfusion studies. Unfiltered, Cartesian sampled images were compared to images acquired with SR-PLANED, which has been adjusted to result in an identical SRF as the Cartesian imaging. SNR-optimized SR-PLANED imaging improved the SNR up to 15% without changing acquisition time, the SRF or the field of view (FOV). The presented method provides high image quality and optimized SNR for first-pass myocardial perfusion imaging. 相似文献

Pulsed field gradient (PFG) NMR diffusion measurements in heterogeneous media may lead to erroneous results due to the disturbing influence of internal magnetic field gradients. Here, we present a simple theoretical model which allows one to interpret data obtained by stimulated spin echo PFG NMR in the presence of spatially varying internal field gradients. Using the results of this theory, the genuine self-diffusion coefficients in heterogeneous media may be extrapolated from the dependence of the apparent diffusivities on the dephasing time of the simulated echo PFG NMR sequence. Experimental evidence that such extrapolation yields satisfactory results for self-diffusion of hexadecane in natural sediments (sand) and of n-octanol in doped MgO pastes is provided. 相似文献

The NMR relaxation properties of hydrating blast-furnace slag cements have recently been shown to be dominated by the effect of water self-diffusion in internal magnetic field gradients in the pastes. While this was suggested on the basis of NMR relaxometry and magnetic susceptibility data, we report here the results from first direct studies of the water self-diffusion in the hydrating paste using a specialized PFG sequence and very intensive magnetic field gradient pulses. 相似文献

[Na11(OtBu)10(OH)], a hydroxide enclosing 21-vertex cage compound, was found to crystallize from mixtures of sodium tert.butanolate with sodium hydroxide. Its structure can be derived from the known (NaOtBu)6-hexaprismane by replacing one butanolate unit with OH- and capping the latter with five additional units of NaOtBu.
