We apply the extended transformation method to a non-power-law potential to generate a set of exactly solvable quantum systems in spaces of any dimensions. We derive exact analytic solutions of the Schrödinger equations with an exactly solvable non-power-law potential. Nucleation events and crystal growth can be guided by molecular recognition at interfaces through intermolecular interactions. The short-acting antimicrobial sulfa drug sulfathiazole is known for its concomitant crystallization, which has five known polymorphs, due to conformational flexibility and hydrogen-bond synthon variation. In its development stage of a drug the issue of concomitant crystallization needs to be addressed with respect to patent litigation, including legal actions to protect patents against infringement. A functional self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of organic thiol on a gold surface has been employed as an efficient approach to control concomitant nucleation of such flexible drugs. The crystallization on a SAM surface is mostly kinetically driven and often leads to the nucleation of novel metastable forms. Spectroscopic, thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction studies reveal that a previously unknown, sixth form of the drug nucleates on the designed SAM surface. 相似文献

A solution-based approach to the synthesis of silver (Ag) nanoparticles by chemical reduction of AgNO(3) in a graphene oxide (GrO) suspension is demonstrated. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy indicate that the Ag nanoparticles, of size range 5-25nm, were decorated on the GrO sheets. The size and shape of the Ag nanoparticles are dependent on the concentration of the AgNO(3) solution. Antimicrobial activity of such hybrids materials is investigated against the Gram negative bacteria Escherichia coli and Pseudomonous aeruginosa. The bacterial growth kinetics was monitored in nutrient broth supplemented with the Ag nanoparticle-GrO suspension at different conditions. Ordered, mesoporous SBA-15 functionalized with organic and inorganic moieties exhibits efficient catalytic activity in a variety
of organic transformations. In this account, reviewing our own work, three-sets of surface-modified SBA-15 materials have
been investigated. The first-set of materials consists of SBA-15 modified with organo-acidic (propyl thiol and propyl sulfonic
acid) and basic (propyl amine and propyl adenine) moieties. The second-set of materials was prepared by grafting Mn complexes
to the organo-functionalized SBA-15. The third-set composes of nanocrystalline metal oxides supported on SBA-15. All these
catalysts have been characterized by structural and spectroscopic techniques. Catalytic activities of the first-set of solid
materials have been investigated in acid/base-catalyzed reactions viz., ring-opening of epoxides with amines (producing β-amino
alcohols), esterification, three-component-Mannich reactions and cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides. The Mn complexes grafted on organofunctionalized SBA-15 are efficient catalysts for the chemo-, regio- and stereoselective
aerial oxidation of monoterpenes at ambient conditions. TiOx, VOx, MoOx and WOx supported on SBA-15 catalyzed biomimetic oxyhalogenation of aromatic compounds. In all these reactions, the functionalized

Decomposition of clay from Garo Hills of Meghalaya (India) was studied by dynamic thermogravimetry. A fourteen kinetic equation procedure was applied for analysis of non-isothermal weight change upto a temperature of 1223 K. Two stages of decomposition were clearly distinguised i.e. the initial dehydration period at temperature 373 K to 673 K and the dehydroxylation period in the temperature range 723 K to 1073 K. First order decomposition mechanism was found to be applicable to both dehydration and dehydroxylation steps. Activation energies of 67 kJ/mol and 278 kJ/mol are estimated for the first and second steps with frequency factors of 16.3 s–1 and 5.16×106s–1 respectively. The weight loss relating to the steps in TG curves allows determination of the contents of the basic mineral in the clay. Percentages of Al2O3.SiO2 and total volatiles as calculated from weight loss data are in accordance with the results of classical chemical analysis.
Zusammenfassung Mittels DTG wurde die thermische Zersetung von Ton aus der Garo-Hills-Gegend bei Meghalaya (Indien) untersucht. Zur Analyse der nicht-isothermen Gewichtsveränderungen bis zu einer Temperatur von 1223 K wurde ein Verfahren mit vierzehn kinetischen Gleichungen angewendet. Zwei Teilschritte der Zersetzung können eindeutig unterschieden werden, nämlich die anfängliche Dehydratationsperiode bei Temperaturen von 373 bis 673 K und die Dehydroxylierungsperiode bei Temperaturen zwischen 723 K un 1073 K. Für beide Vorgänge konnte als Reaktionsmechanismus eine Zersetzung erster Ordnung angewendet werden. Für den ersten un zweiten Teilschritt konnten Aktivierungsenergien von 67 kJ/mol bzw. 278 kJ/mol un Frequenzfaktoren von 16.3s–1 bzw. 5.16×106s–1 ermittelt werden. Der aus den TG-Kurven hervorgehende Gewichtsverlust läßt auf den Gehalt des Tones an Basismineral schließen. Der prozentuelle Gehalt an Al2O3, SiO2 und der gesamten flüchtigen Bestandteile, berechnet aus den Gewichtsverlusdaten, stimmt mit den Ergebnissen aus herkömmlichen chemischen Analysen überein.相似文献

It was observed that the reaction of CFCl3 with thiophenoxide gave only 10% of the corresponding thioether. On the other hand, these thioethers could be prepared in excellent yield from diaryl disulfides and CFCl3 in the presence of sodium hydroxymethanesulfinate in aqueous DMF at 4 atm pressure of nitrogen. Dechlorination of the thioether (PhSCFCl2) with different reducing agents were studied. Most of the reducing agents eliminated both fluorine and chlorine functionalities or gave the hydrolyzed products. But its sulfone on treatment with Zinc in methanol gave monochlorofluoromethyl and fluoromethyl phenyl sulfone in good yields. Darzens reaction of these compounds was also studied. 相似文献
