The effect of intermediate layer (IL) thickness on crystallographic texture and magnetic properties of CoCrPtSiO2 granular perpendicular recording media was investigated with switching field distribution (SFD) as the focus. Even though the c-axis orientation of the Co-based recording layer (RL) broadens with the reduction of IL thickness, the SFD becomes narrower. This result demonstrates that the intrinsic SFD is not directly dependent on c-axis orientation of the recording layer but instead dependent on the magnitude of exchange coupling. It is thus possible to have a medium with thin IL and narrow SFD. This is desirable for bit-patterned media (BPM), where highly exchange-coupled grains are required.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations, both in the anomalous and normal dispersive regimes, which govern the propagation of a single field in a fiber medium with phase modulation and fibre gain (or loss). The integrability conditions are arrived from linear eigen value problem. The variable transformations which connect the integrable form of modified NLS equations are presented. We succeed in Hirota bilinearzing the equations and on solving, exact bright and dark soliton solutions are obtained. From the results, we show that the soliton is alive, i.e. pulse area can be conserved by the inclusion of gain (or loss) and phase modulation effects.  相似文献

The geometrically non-linear, axisymmetric transient elastic response is determined of cylindrically orthotropic thin annular plates with a rigid central mass subjected to a uniformly distributed load on the plate as well as a central load on the rigid mass. The dynamic analogue of the von Kármán equations in terms of the normal displacement w and the stress function Ψ are employed. The displacement w and stress function Ψ are expanded in finite power series and the orthogonal point collocation method in the space domain and the Newmark β scheme in the time domain are used. The response of isotropic and orthotropic, clamped as well as simply supported, annular plates with a rigid central mass, subjected to step function and sinusoidal pulse loads, has been calculated for two values of the annular ratio. The influence of the mass ratio and the magnitude of the step load on the deflection response has been determined. The effect of mass ratio, amplitude and duration of sinusoidal pulse on the deflection response has also been studied.  相似文献

The results of our initial efforts to deposit thin films of YBa2Cu3O7−x system on sapphire substrate are described. The deposited films are shiny black in appearance and are of quite uniform chemical composition. In his study of combined finite extension and torsion of a nonlinear, incompressible, isotropic elastic circular cylinder, Rivlin [1] established a relation for the torsional stiffness which depends only on the axial force, the axial extension ratio and the radius of the undeformed cylinder, in the case of small twist. The relationship did not depend on the structure of the stored energy function and is hence a universal relation. In this paper, we extend Rivlin's result to the case of combined extension and torsion of a cylindrical mixture of a nonlinear elastic solid and fluid.  相似文献
