This paper deals with the study of the effect of MHD on thin films of a micropolar fluid. These thin films are considered for three different geometries, namely: (i) flow down an inclined plane, (ii) flow on a moving belt and (iii) flow down a vertical cylinder. The transformed boundary layer governing equations of a micropolar fluid and the resulting system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by using shooting method. Numerical results were presented for velocity and micro-rotation profiles within the boundary layer for different parameters of the problem including micropolar fluid parameters, magnetic field parameter, etc., which are also discussed numerically and illustrated graphically.  相似文献

The results of ESI(+) and ESI(-) mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry investigations of meso-tetrakisphenylporphyrin (TPP) and meso-trisphenylcorrole (TPC) in comparison with their meso-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)-substituted analogs T(F)PP and T(F)PC are reported. The fragmentation patterns of TPP and TPC show the expected loss of meso-aryl radicals. Analyzing the meso-pentafluorophenyl substituted analogs T(F)PP and T(F)PC, we found ESI(-) to be an excellent ionization mode. Rich and well-defined HF-elimination fragmentation patterns unique to the presence of meso-tetrafluorophenyl groups and evocative for the formation of fragments with direct covalent o-phenyl-to-beta-linkages are observed. A computation of the feasibility and relative energies of the resulting species corroborates the interpretation of the experimental findings. The computations indicate the presence of cooperative interactions between the linkages that direct the linkage formations to occur in a unidirectional fashion. MS/MS/MS experiments also provide indications for the regioselectivity of the fusions. Our observations further detail earlier reports of similar HF-eliminations and allow a generalization of the findings. The results presented may also point to strategies towards the bulk synthesis of novel porphyrinoid structures.  相似文献

Bioglass (Bio-G) samples were irradiated with 60Co gamma-rays to study radicals for dosimetric materials with electron spin resonance (ESR). The ESR spectrum of Bio-G is characterized by two main signals. The first signal at g approximately = 4.3 corresponds to Fe3+ impurities and the second signal at g approximately = 2.0130 with line-width 10.85 G is ascribed as a hole center. The gamma-ray dose response and thermal stability were studied to establish the suitability of bioglass as an ESR dosimeter. A radical formation efficiency, G-value, of 0.53 +/- 0.11 was obtained. The lifetime of radicals and the activation energy were estimated from Arrhenius plots to be approximately 255 +/- 46 days and 0.71 eV, respectively.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to introduce the new hyperchaotic complex Lü system. This system has complex nonlinear behavior which is studied and investigated in this work. Numerically the range of parameter values of the system at which hyperchaotic attractors exist is calculated. This new system has a whole circle of equilibria and three isolated fixed points, while the real counterpart has only three isolated ones. The stability analysis of the trivial fixed point is studied. Its dynamics is more rich in the sense that our system exhibits both chaotic and hyperchaotic attractors, as well as periodic and quasi-periodic solutions and solutions that approach fixed points. The nonlinear control method based on Lyapunov function is used to synchronize the hyperchaotic attractors. The control of these attractors is studied. Different forms of hyperchaotic complex Lü systems are constructed using the state feedback controller and complex periodic forcing.  相似文献

Thallium monosulfide single crystals have been grown and thin platelet specimens were prepared. The switching characteristics of TIS were studied in detail. Switching effect with memory was observed and reported for the first time. The influence of different variables such as temperature, light illumination, and sample thickness on the switching behaviour is considered. The obtained results are discussed.  相似文献

In the context of the covariant teleparallel framework, we use the 2-form translational momentum to compute the total energy of two general spherically symmetric frames. The first one is characterized by an arbitrary function H(r), which preserves the spherical symmetry and reproduces all the previous solutions, while the other one is characterized by a parameter ξ which ensures the vanishing of the axial of trace of the torsion. We calculate the total energy by using two procedures, i.e., when the Weitzenböck connection Γαβ is trivial, and show how H(r) and ξ play the role of an inertia that leads the total energy to be unphysical. Therefore, we take into account Γαβ and show that although the space×we use contain an arbitrary function and one parameter, they have no effect on the form of the total energy and momentum as it should be.  相似文献

We explore the quadratic form of the f(R)=R+bR2 gravitational theory to derive rotating N-dimensions black hole solutions with ai,i1 rotation parameters. Here, R is the Ricci scalar and b is the dimensional parameter. We assumed that the N-dimensional spacetime is static and it has flat horizons with a zero curvature boundary. We investigated the physics of black holes by calculating the relations of physical quantities such as the horizon radius and mass. We also demonstrate that, in the four-dimensional case, the higher-order curvature does not contribute to the black hole, i.e., black hole does not depend on the dimensional parameter b, whereas, in the case of N>4, it depends on parameter b, owing to the contribution of the correction R2 term. We analyze the conserved quantities, energy, and angular-momentum, of black hole solutions by applying the relocalization method. Additionally, we calculate the thermodynamic quantities, such as temperature and entropy, and examine the stability of black hole solutions locally and show that they have thermodynamic stability. Moreover, the calculations of entropy put a constraint on the parameter b to be b<116Λ to obtain a positive entropy.  相似文献
