Palladium(0)-catalyzed silane alcoholysis was applied to sugars for the first time using tert-butyldimethylsilane (TBDMS-H) and Ph(3)SiH as the silanes. The catalyst is a colloidal solution of Pd(0) generated in situ from PdX(2) (X = Cl(-), OAc(-)) and TBDMS-H in N,N-dimethylacetamide. The colloid has been characterized by dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy and consists of catalytically highly active nanoparticles of approximately 2 nm diameter. The silane alcoholysis reaction is an effective method for the regioselective silylation of methyl and phenyl glycosides and generates hydrogen gas as the only side product. For many of the sugar substrates investigated, the distribution of regioisomers obtained is complementary to that of the traditional R(3)SiCl/base (base = pyridine, imidazole) methodology and gives convenient access to the 3,6- rather than the 2,6-silylated pyranosides, obtained as the main product by the silyl chloride method. The method also allows a selective axial silylation of levoglucosan and 1,3,5-O-methylidene-myo-inositol. In an attempt to rationalize the observed regioselectivities, ab initio predictions (HF/3-21G) have been made on the relative energies of some of the silylated products. They suggest that the observed regioselectivities do not reflect a kinetic vs thermodynamic product distribution but are induced by the silylation agent employed. Models for the possible origin of the observed regioselectivity in both silylation methods (silane- and silyl chloride-based) are discussed.  相似文献

We report on the observation of new phenomena that arise under Cs adsorption on n-GaN(0001) and n-InGaN(0001) surfaces. First, an extremely highly quantum efficient photoemission has been found by excitation with visible light in the transparency region of GaN and InGaN. The photoemission is revealed to appear due to the formation of an electron accumulation layer in the vicinity of the surfaces. Second, a large variety of band bending and potential wells are provided by the Cs coverages. The accumulated charge density at the n-InGaN surface is much stronger than that at the n-GaN surface. Third, a new effect is revealed, namely, the appearance of an oscillation structure in the spectral dependences of the threshold photoemission. A model concept is proposed for photocurrent oscillations that takes into account the formation of an accumulation layer and the multiple-beam interference in parallel-sided GaN or InGaN samples.  相似文献

The novel silicon-, germanium- and tin-containing imido alkyl complexes of tungsten of the type (ArN)2W(CH2EMe3)2 (; E = Si (1), Ge (2), Sn (3)) have been prepared by the reactions of (ArN)2WCl2(dme) (dme = 1,2-dimethoxyethane) with heteroelement-containing alkyllithium or Grignard reagents Me3ECH2Li (E = Si, Ge), Me3ECH2MgCl (E = Ge, Sn). The title compounds were isolated in high yields as crystalline solids and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C, 29Si and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction studies. The geometry of the W atoms in the compounds can be described as a distorted tetrahedron.  相似文献

Significant advances have been made in establishing phase behavior of a number of nonionic, cationic, anionic, catanionic and fluorinated surfactants in water. An interest in phase equilibria existing at sub-ambient temperatures is developing. The study of cubic, intermediate, defective lamellar and sponge phases is an active field of research at present. Further work is needed in exploring thermodynamic stability of rigid nanodisks and densely packed vesicles. Colloidal aspects, thermodynamic and volumetric properties of the surfactant-containing systems deserve special attention.  相似文献

Thin films of colloidal silica were deposited on cotton fibers via layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly in an effort to reduce the flammability of cotton fabric. Negatively charged silica nanoparticles of two different sizes (8 and 27 nm) were paired with either positively charged silica (12 nm) or cationic polyethylenimine (PEI). PEI/silica films were thicker due to better (more uniform) deposition of silica particles that contributed to more than 90% of the film weight. Each coating was evaluated at 10 and 20 bilayers (BL). All coated fabrics retained their weave structure after being exposed to a vertical flame test, while uncoated cotton was completely destroyed. Micro combustion calorimetry confirmed that coated fabrics exhibited a reduced peak heat release rate, by as much as 20% relative to the uncoated control. The 10 BL PEI-8 nm silica recipe was the most effective because the coating is relatively thick and uniform relative to the other systems. Soaking cotton in basic water (pH 10) prior to deposition resulted in better assembly adhesion and flame-retardant behavior. These results demonstrate that LbL assembly is a useful technique for imparting flame retardant properties through conformal coating of complex substrates like cotton fabric.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the electrochemical behavior of magnetite microcrystals in an acid medium. A voltammetric method employing a carbon-paste electroactive electrode (CPEE) with an organic binder was used. It was found that the cathodic voltammograms, which were recorded at different scan rates, formed a set bounded in the space of iE parameters by a generalizing voltammetric curve corresponding to the effective potential scan rate eff. In other words, all curves are situated under one enveloping curve, just as the smaller dolls sit in the largest doll of a Russian doll. Reverse currents (a cathodic current in the anodic direction of the potential scan) were observed on the cyclic voltammogram. Forward and reverse currents obey the same laws and have one and the same generalizing curve, which could be taken as the magnetite characteristic.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) technique is the most commonly used approach when it comes to computation of vibrational spectra of molecular species. In this study, we compare anharmonic spectra of several organic molecules such as allene, propyne, glycine, and imidazole, computed from ab initio MP2 potentials and DFT potentials based on commonly used BLYP and B3LYP functionals. Anharmonic spectra are obtained using the direct vibrational self-consistent field (VSCF) method and its correlation-corrected extension (CC-VSCF). The results of computations are compared with available experimental data. It is shown that the most accurate vibrational frequencies are obtained with the MP2 method, followed by the DFT/B3LYP method, while DFT/BLYP results are often unsatisfactory. Microstructural and chemical changes in a NiO-YSZ electrocatalytic electrode were studied. The microstructural changes in the NiO-YSZ electrocatalytic electrode after the cell operation was compared with the electrode quenched under the applied voltage to suppress the oxidation process. The reversible reduction of NiO into Ni and the formation of intergranular Ni layers at the NiO/YSZ interface were investigated. It was shown that in a compositional range of the NiO-YSZ electrodes from 1/3 to 2/3 the value of the ambipolar conductivity increased with increasing voltage applied to the electrochemical cell. The observed reversible increase in the value of ambipolar conductivity of the electrocatalytic electrode is described in frames of the model of reversible reduction of NiO into Ni under the conditions of cell operation.  相似文献
