Triphenylamine (TP) derivatives such as two-branch cationic vinylbenzimidazolium triphenylamine TP−2Bzim are promising turn-on fluorescent probes suitable for two-photon imaging, labelling mitochondria in live cells. Here, we designed two TP−2Bzim derivatives as bimodal probes suitable for X-ray fluorescence imaging. The conjugation of the TP core with a rhenium tricarbonyl moiety in the TP−RePyta probe altered the localisation in live cells from mitochondria to lysosomes. The introduction of bromine on the TP core generated the TP−Br probe retaining good photophysical properties and mitochondria labelling in live cells. The influence of calcium channels in the uptake of TP−Br was studied. Synchrotron Radiation X-ray Fluorescence (SXRF) imaging of bromine enabled the detection of TP−Br and suggested a negligible presence of the probe in an unbound state in the incubated cells, a crucial point in the development of these probes. This study paves the way towards the development of TP probes as specific organelle stainers suitable for SXRF imaging. 相似文献

Dopamine is a ubiquitous neurotransmitter essential in the proper functioning of the human body. In addition to this critical role, the catecholamine core has shown utility as a scaffold for numerous drugs and in other applications, like metal detection and adhesive materials. Substituents at the 6-position of dopamine’s catechol core can modulate its stereoelectronic properties, the acidity of its phenolic hydroxyl groups, and the overall hydrophobicity of the molecule. Herein, we report the synthesis of a series of four novel dopamine analogues substituted at the 6-position of catechol core. The 1H NMR chemical shift of the aromatic proton meta to the substituent correlated strongly with the Hammett σm constant, confirming the electronic properties of substituents. 相似文献

Rietveld refinement of combined X-ray and neutron diffraction data has, within errors, confirmed the stoichiometries of two, cubic pyrochlore phases in the ZnOBi2O3Sb2O5 system. Neither phase has the ‘ideal’ stoichiometry, Zn2Bi3Sb3O14. One phase, P1, is a Zn-rich, Bi-deficient solid solution Zn2+xBi2.96−(x−y)Sb3.04−yO14.04+δ. The other, P2, is a Bi-rich line phase, stoichiometry Zn2Bi3.08Sb2.92O14+δ. Both structures have a mixture of Bi, Zn on the A-sites and Zn, Sb on the B-sites. However, Zn is displaced off-centre in the A-sites to achieve lower co-ordination number with realistic ZnO bond lengths. Additional structural complexities arise from: displacement of O(2) atoms; partial occupancies of O(1) and O(2) sites; partial occupancy of a third, interstitial oxygen site, O(3). Since the multiplicities of the off-centre sites are much higher than those of the ideal positions, there is considerable possibility for correlated short range order throughout the structures. 相似文献
