Rembrandt's painting Old Woman Praying, 1629/30, is the most valuable and exceptional work of art of the Residenzgalerie Salzburg (RGS). It is painted on a gilded copper plate with dimensions of only approximately 15 × 12 cm. The painting probably belongs to a series of three small-scale tronies, all executed on gilded copper plates. This particular picture preparation, which represents a special feature in Rembrandt's work, is quite unusual in the history of art. Previous investigations on the comparable paintings The Laughing Man, 1629/30, in the Mauritshuis, The Hague and the Self Portrait, 1630, in the National Museum, Stockholm showed that the gilding of the copper plate was applied over a lead white ground. To characterize the painting in the RGS, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) mapping was performed in a collaboration between the Research Office Residenzgalerie, Land Salzburg, the XGLab S.R.L, Milan, and the Conservation Science Department of the Kunsthistorische Museum Vienna (KHM). The results indicate a different structure for this painting than that used for The Laughing Man and the Self Portrait. The gilding was applied directly onto the copper plate, but with three areas with the gilding missing. It seems likely that in these sections, the gold was purposely removed to provide a different darker effect. XRF mapping yielded valuable insights into the structure of the painting and its technique as well as the principal pigments used for its composition.  相似文献

Recently, shearlet groups have received much attention in connection with shearlet transforms applied for orientation sensitive image analysis and restoration. The square integrable representations of the shearlet groups provide not only the basis for the shearlet transforms but also for a very natural definition of scales of smoothness spaces, called shearlet coorbit spaces. The aim of this paper is twofold: first we discover isomorphisms between shearlet groups and other well-known groups, namely extended Heisenberg groups and subgroups of the symplectic group. Interestingly, the connected shearlet group with positive dilations has an isomorphic copy in the symplectic group, while this is not true for the full shearlet group with all nonzero dilations. Indeed we prove the general result that there exist, up to adjoint action of the symplectic group, only one embedding of the extended Heisenberg algebra into the Lie algebra of the symplectic group. Having understood the various group isomorphisms it is natural to ask for the relations between coorbit spaces of isomorphic groups with equivalent representations. These connections are examined in the second part of the paper. We describe how isomorphic groups with equivalent representations lead to isomorphic coorbit spaces. In particular we apply this result to square integrable representations of the connected shearlet groups and metaplectic representations of subgroups of the symplectic group. This implies the definition of metaplectic coorbit spaces. Besides the usual full and connected shearlet groups we also deal with Toeplitz shearlet groups.  相似文献

The 29th PME research forum on theories included only one European perspective on mathematics education. In order to convey trends in theory usage in Europe we compile, survey and analyze a large subset of the research papers from the 4th European Congress on Mathematics Education (CERME4). That is, this paper includes a discussion of trends seen within CERME4 reports1 on theory usage by European researchers inseven of the fourteen working groups and (a) Outlines similarities and differences in theory usage and (b) takes a futuristic stance on ways in which researchers from different traditions could understand each other. Such an enterprise would further Hans-Georg Steiner's vision of bridging theoretical traditions which are independently formulated in different regions of the world.  相似文献

This paper describes the preparation and characterization of a high-voltage lithium-ion battery based on Sn-decorated reduced graphene oxide and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 as the anode and cathode active materials, respectively. The Sn-decorated reduced graphene oxide is prepared using a microwave-assisted hydrothermal synthesis method followed by reduction at high temperature of a mixture of (C6H5)2SnCl2 and graphene oxide. The so-obtained anode material is characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and electron diffraction spectroscopy. The LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 is a commercially available product. The two materials are used to prepare composite electrodes, and their electrochemical properties are investigated by galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles at various current densities in lithium cells. The electrodes are then used to assemble a high-voltage lithium-ion cell, and the cell is tested to evaluate its performance as a function of discharge rate and cycle number.  相似文献

In this paper several parameter dependent scalarization approaches for solving nonlinear multi-objective optimization problems are discussed. It is shown that they can be considered as special cases of a scalarization problem by Pascoletti and Serafini (or a modification of this problem). Based on these connections theoretical results as well as a new algorithm for adaptively controlling the choice of the parameters for generating almost equidistant approximations of the efficient set, lately developed for the Pascoletti-Serafini scalarization, can be applied to these problems. For instance for such well-known scalarizations as the ε-constraint or the normal boundary intersection problem algorithms for adaptively generating high quality approximations are derived.  相似文献
