In the present study, new 1,2,4‐triazoles, 1,3,4‐thiadiazoles, and acylthiosemicarbaz‐ides derived from 4‐(4‐chlorophenylsulfonyl)benzoic acid hydrazide were synthesized and screened for their antimicrobial and analgesic activities. Acylthiosemicarbazides 2–4 were synthesized by a reaction of 4‐(4‐chlorophenyl‐sulfonyl)benzoic acid hydrazide 1 with different arylisothiocyanates.4,5‐Disubstituted‐2,4‐dihydro‐3H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐thiones 5–7 and 2,5‐disubstituted‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles 8–10 were obtained by dehydrative cyclization of corresponding acylthiosemicarbazide derivatives 2–4 in basic media (8% aqueous sodium hydroxide) and in acidic media (sulfuric acid or phosphorous oxychloride), respectively. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS). Their antimicrobial activities against some bacteria and yeasts were investigated. The analgesic activity of all compounds was performed with two pharmacological tests: the writhing test induced with acetic acid and hot‐plate test. The results showed that triazole 7 had the best antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus. In the chemical stimulus test, triazoles 6 and 7 were the most active compounds whereas in the hot‐plate test thiadiazoles 9 and 10 exhibited the highest analgesic activity. 相似文献

This paper describes an action-research experience carried out with second year students at the School of Engineering of the National University of Entre Ríos, Argentina. Vector calculus students played an active role in their own learning process. They were required to present weekly reports, in both oral and written forms, on the topics studied, instead of merely sitting and watching as the teacher solved problems on the blackboard. The students were also asked to perform computer assignments, and their learning process was continuously monitored. Among many benefits, this methodology has allowed students and teachers to identify errors and misconceptions that might have gone unnoticed under a more passive approach. 相似文献

This article considers the issues of existence and regularity of solutions to the following doubly nonlinear differential inclusion $$\omega_t+\alpha (\omega_t)-\Delta \omega-\Delta_p{\omega} \ni f$$ where α is a maximal monotone operator in ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ and Δ p denotes the p-Laplacian with p > 2. The investigation on fractional regularity is based on the Galerkin method combined with a suitable basis for W 1,p , which we exhibit as a preliminary result. The basic linear model for describing an age structured population spreading in a limited habitat is considered with the purpose of investigating an approximation procedure based on parabolic regularization. In fact, a viscosity model is introduced by considering an appropriate approximating regularized parabolic problem and it is proved that the sequence of the approximating solutions tends to the solution to the original problem. The advantage of this approach is that it leads to the numerical solution of a parabolic problem that has more stable solutions than the hyperbolic‐parabolic original problem and avoids the restrictions (compatibility conditions) needed to treat the latter. Moreover, for the solution of the approximating problem, it is possible to take advantage of established software packages dedicated to parabolic problems. The main contributions of our group during the last 15 years developing and using biomolecular simulation tools in drug lead discovery and design, in close collaboration with experimental researchers, are presented. Special emphasis has been given to methodological improvements in the following areas: (1) target homology modeling incorporating knowledge about known ligands to accurately characterize the binding site; (2) designing alternative strategies to account for protein flexibility in high-throughput docking; (3) development of stochastic- and normal-mode-based methods to de novo design structurally diverse protein conformers; (4) development and validation of quantum mechanical semi-empirical linear-scaling calculations to correctly estimate ligand binding free energy. Expression of proteins related to cell surveillance has been described in tumors presenting resistance to photodynamic therapy (PDT). The aim of this study was to verify whether there was upregulation of proteins related to resistance in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) after PDT. OSCC was chemically induced in rats and treated after one cycle of PDT mediated by 5‐aminolevulinic acid (5‐ALA‐PDT). Immunolabeling of p‐NFκB, Bcl‐2, survivin, iNOS, p‐Akt, p‐mTOR and cyclin D1 was performed after the treatment. There was increased expression of Bcl‐2 (P = 0.008), iNOS (P = 0.020), p‐Akt (P = 0.020) and p‐mTOR (P = 0.010) by surviving neoplastic cells after PDT when compared to the control. In conclusion, after one cycle of 5‐ALA‐mediated PDT, Bcl‐2, p‐Akt, p‐mTOR and iNOS were upregulated in neoplastic cells of OSCC, suggesting an activation of antiapoptosis and cell proliferation pathways. This fact must be considered in the establishment of PDT protocols for OSCC treatment, mainly those in which PDT will be combined with chemotherapy drugs targeted at the studied proteins. 相似文献
