Structural analysis and spectroscopic methods revealed a special case of solvatomorphism: hydrogen‐bonding‐induced geometry and spin change within a same N,O‐(bis)chelate of cobalt(II). Solid‐state structures are presented for both the tetrahedral and the solvated square‐planar forms of the complex. Magnetic‐moment measurements and ESR spectroscopy confirmed the high‐spin state of the tetrahedral form (μeff=4.7 μB) and the low‐spin state of the square‐planar solvatomorph. Specific hydrogen‐bonding interactions between the solvent molecules and the complex chelate ring (O1 ??? H?CHCl2 (d=2.26 Å, D=3.24 Å, θ=173°); O2 ??? H?CHCl2 (d=2.22 Å, D=3.19 Å, θ=165°)) play a pivotal role in biasing the system toward the low‐spin ground state.  相似文献

The reaction of hydrated lanthanoid chlorides with tribenzoylmethane and an alkali metal hydroxide consistently resulted in the crystallization of neutral tetranuclear assemblies with the general formula [Ln(Ae ? HOEt)( L )4]2 (Ln=Eu3+, Er3+, Yb3+; Ae=Na+, K+, Rb+). Analysis of the crystal structures of these species revealed a coordination geometry that varied from a slightly distorted square antiprism to a slightly distorted triangular dodecahedron, with the specific geometrical shape being dependent on the degree of lattice solvation and identity of the alkali metal. The near‐infrared (NIR)‐emitting assemblies of Yb3+ and Er3+ showed remarkably efficient emission, characterized by significantly longer excited‐state lifetimes (τobs≈37–47 μs for Yb3+ and τobs≈4–6 μs for Er3+) when compared with the broader family of lanthanoid β‐diketonate species, even in the case of perfluorination of the ligands. The Eu3+ assemblies show bright red emission and a luminescence performance (τobs≈0.5 ms, ${{\Phi}{{{\rm L}\hfill \atop {\rm Ln}\hfill}}}$ ≈35–37 %, ηsens≈68–70 %) more akin to the β‐diketonate species. The results highlight that the β‐triketonate ligand offers a tunable and facile system for the preparation of efficient NIR emitters without the need for more complicated perfluorination or deuteration synthetic strategies.  相似文献

Complexation of 1,4‐phenylenebis(methylene) diisonicotinate, L1 , with cis‐protected PdII components, [Pd( L′ )(NO3)2], in an equimolar ratio yielded binuclear complexes, 1 a – d of [Pd2( L′ )2( L1 )2](NO3)4 formulation where L′ stands for ethylenediamine (en), tetramethylethylenediamine (tmeda), 2,2′‐bipyridine (bpy), and phenanthroline (phen). The combination of 4,4′‐bipyridine, L2 , with the cis‐protected PdII units is known to yield molecular squares, 2 a – d . However, 2 b – d coexist with the corresponding molecular triangles, 3 b – d . Combination of an equivalent each of the ligands L1 and L2 with two equivalents of cis‐protected PdII components in DMSO resulted in the D ‐shaped heteroligated complexes [Pd2( L′ )2( L1 )( L2 )](NO3)4, 4 a – d . Two units of the D ‐shaped complexes interlock, in a concentration dependent fashion, to form the corresponding [2]catenanes [Pd2( L′ )2( L1 )( L2 )]2(NO3)8, 5 a – d under aqueous conditions. Crystal structures of the macrocycle [Pd2(tmeda)2( L1 )( L2 )](PF6)4, 4 b′′ , and the catenane [Pd2(bpy)2( L1 )( L2 )]2(NO3)8, 5 c , provide unequivocal support for the proposed molecular architectures.  相似文献

In this work, we have calculated the thermodynamic parameters of the first steps of the free radical and anionic polymerizations of various unsaturated monomers, using ab initio methods of quantum chemistry. The enthalpies and entropies of polymerization were estimated assuming that they correspond to those of the model reaction A  B(p) + HABAH(p′) → HABABAH(p′) where p and p′ stand for the physical state of the considered species. The enthalpies of polymerization were rationalized using the equation ΔH = −ΔΣ NABEAB + SE(A  B) + SE(HABAH) − SE(HABABAH) where NAB is the number of A  B bonds, EAB the corresponding bond energy, − ΔΣ NABEAB the variation of the sum of the bond energy terms, and SE(X) the thermodynamic stabilization energy of compound X. The preferential mode of polymerization of each monomer was derived from the enthalpies of the initiation and initial propagation steps of the two types of polymerization. Thus, we were able to make some comments concerning the feasibility of the polymerization of the monomers under consideration.  相似文献

This research aims to investigate the synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of the biocompatibility and antibacterial activity of novel zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) prepared by Punica granatum peel and coffee ground extracts as the reducing and capping agents. Chemically synthesized ZnONPs were prepared using zinc acetate dihydrate and sodium hydroxide as reducing precursors. ZnONPs were characterized using an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-VIS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Peaks of UV spectra were 300 nm for ZnONPs_PPE, 320 nm (ZnONPs_CE), 290 nm, and 440 nm (ZnONP_Chem), thereby confirming ZnONPs formation. The X-ray diffractograms revealed their hexagonal structure. TEM micrographs of the biosynthesized ZnONPs revealed their hexagonal pattern and nanorod shape for ZnONPs_Chem with particle sizes of 118.6 nm, 115.7 nm, and 111.2 nm, respectively. The FTIR analysis demonstrated the presence of proteins, carboxyl, and hydroxyl groups on ZnONPs surfaces that act as reducing and stabilizing agents. ZnONP_Chem shows the antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Punica peel and coffee ground extracts are effective reducing agents for green ZnONPs synthesis with a lower cytotoxic effect on Vero cells than ZnONPs_Chem with IC50 = 111, 103, and 93 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to find the biological propensities of the vegetable plant Pleurospermum candollei by investigating its phytochemical profile and biological activities. Phytochemical analysis was done by spectroscopic methods to investigate the amount of total polyphenols, and biological evaluation was done by the different antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory (tyrosinase, α-amylase, and α-glucosidase), thrombolytic, and antibacterial activities. The highest amount of total phenolic and flavonoid contents was observed in methanolic extract (240.69 ± 2.94 mg GAE/g and 167.59 ± 3.47 mg QE/g); the fractions showed comparatively less quantity (57.02 ± 1.31 to 144.02 ± 2.11 mg GAE/g, and 48.21 ± 0.75 to 96.58 ± 2.30 mg QE/g). The effect of these bioactive contents was also related to biological activities. GCMS analysis led to the identification of bioactive compounds with different biological effects from methanolic extract (antioxidant; 55.07%, antimicrobial; 56.41%), while the identified compounds from the n-hexane fraction with antioxidant properties constituted 67.86%, and those with antimicrobial effects constituted 82.95%; however, the synergetic effect of polyphenols may also have contributed to the highest value of biological activities of methanolic extract. Molecular docking was also performed to understand the relationship of identified secondary metabolites with enzyme-inhibitory activities. The thrombolytic activity was also significant (40.18 ± 1.80 to 57.15 ± 1.10 % clot lysis) in comparison with streptokinase (78.5 ± 1.53 to 82.34 ± 1.25% clot lysis). Methanolic extract also showed good activity against Gram-positive strains of bacteria, and the highest activity was observed against Bacillus subtilis. The findings of this study will improve our knowledge of phytochemistry, and biological activities of P. candollei, which seems to be a ray of hope to design formulations of natural products for the improvement of health and prevention of chronic diseases; however, further research may address the development of novel drugs for use in pharmaceuticals.  相似文献

Oxidative stress is the key factor that strengthens free radical generation which stimulates lung inflammation. The aim was to explore antioxidant, bronchodilatory along with anti-asthmatic potential of folkloric plants and the aqueous methanolic crude extract of Ipomoea nil (In.Cr) seeds which may demonstrate as more potent, economically affordable, having an improved antioxidant profile and providing evidence as exclusive therapeutic agents in respiratory pharmacology. In vitro antioxidant temperament was executed by DPPH, TFC, TPC and HPLC in addition to enzyme inhibition (cholinesterase) analysis; a bronchodilator assay on rabbit’s trachea as well as in vivo OVA-induced allergic asthmatic activity was performed on mice. In vitro analysis of 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) expressed as % inhibition 86.28 ± 0.25 with IC50 17.22 ± 0.56 mol/L, TPC 115.5 ± 1.02 mg GAE/g of dry sample, TFC 50.44 ± 1.06 mg QE/g dry weight of sample, inhibition in cholinesterase levels for acetyl and butyryl with IC50 (0.60 ± 0.67 and 1.5 ± 0.04 mol/L) in comparison with standard 0.06 ± 0.002 and 0.30 ± 0.003, respectively, while HPLC characterization of In.Cr confirmed the existence with identification as well as quantification of various polyphenolics and flavonoids i.e., gallic acid, vanillic acid, chlorogenic acid, quercetin, kaempferol and others. However, oral gavage of In.Cr at different doses in rabbits showed a better brochodilation profile as compared to carbachol and K+-induced bronchospasm. More significant (p < 0.01) reduction in OVA-induced allergic hyper-responses i.e., inflammatory cells grade, antibody IgE as well as altered IFN-α in airways were observed at three different doses of In.Cr. It can be concluded that sound mechanistic basis i.e., the existence of antioxidants: various phenolic and flavonoids, calcium antagonist(s) as well as enzymes’ inhibition profile, validates folkloric consumptions of this traditionally used plant to treat ailments of respiration.  相似文献
