The differential cross sections for K?p and p elastic scattering have been measured over the range of four-momentum transfer squared 0.18<?t<3.3 (GeV/c)2. The K?p data decrease smoothly as a function of ?t, whereas, the data shows a break at ?t = 0.6 (GeV/c)2 followed by a fast drop to ?t ? 1.6 (GeV/c)2 where the differential cross section levels off and stays constant out to ?t = 3 (GeV/c)2. 相似文献

It is shown that the normal melting point ranges of ammonium alum dodecahydrate, and its potassium analogue, can be changed by ultrasound; under identical conditions the melting characteristics of hexamethylbenzene remain unchanged. The morphology of bi-phase aerosol particles containing phase separated hydrophobic and hydrophilic components is considered, comparing simulations based on surface and interfacial tensions with measurements made by aerosol optical tweezers. The competition between the liquid phases adopting core-shell and partially engulfed configurations is considered for a range of organic compounds including saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, aromatics, alcohols, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters and amines. When the solubility of the organic component and the salting-out of the organic component to the surface by the presence of concentrated inorganic solutes in the aqueous phase are considered, it is concluded that the adoption of a partially engulfed structure predominates, with the organic component forming a surface lens. The aqueous surface can be assumed to be stabilised by a surface enriched in the organic component. The existence of acid-base equilibria can lead to the dissociation of organic surfactants and to significant lowering of the surface tension of the aqueous phase, further supporting the predominance of partially engulfed structures. Trends in morphology from experimental measurements and simulations are compared for mixed phased droplets in which the organic component is decane, 1-octanol or oleic acid with varying relative humidity. Piecewise Smooth Dynamical Systems Theory: The Case of the Missing Boundary Equilibrium Bifurcations
We present two codimension-one bifurcations that occur when an equilibrium collides with a discontinuity in a piecewise smooth dynamical system. These simple cases appear to have escaped recent classifications. We present them here to highlight some of the powerful results from Filippov’s book Differential Equations with Discontinuous Righthand Sides (Kluwer, 1988). Filippov classified the so-called boundary equilibrium collisions without providing their unfolding. We show the complete unfolding here, for the first time, in the particularly interesting case of a node changing its stability as it collides with a discontinuity. We provide a prototypical model that can be used to generate all codimension-one boundary equilibrium collisions, and summarize the elements of Filippov’s work that are important in achieving a full classification. 相似文献

This study aimed to determine the chemical composition of different types of tissue of Cedrus brevifolia Henry (Pinaceae) methanolic extracts, namely needles, twigs, branches, and bark. Cedrus brevifolia is a narrow endemic coniferous tree species of Cyprus, growing in a sole population in the mountainous area of Paphos Forest. Chemical analysis of the extracts was performed using liquid chromatography combined with time-of-flight high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC/Q-TOF/HRMS). The majority of the 36 compounds tentatively identified belonged to the flavonoids family. The extract of needles was the richest extract in terms of secondary metabolites. The extracts were studied for their antioxidant activity using the DPPH free radical scavenging assay. Additionally, the antibacterial activity was evaluated by determining both the minimum inhibitory concentration and the minimum bactericidal concentration against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. All extracts demonstrated antioxidant property, while bark gave the highest antioxidant capacity (IC50 value of 0.011 mg/mL) compared to the other tissues. Antibacterial activity was observed against both types of bacteria, with the extract of branches presenting the strongest activity against S. aureus (MIC, 0.097 mg/mL and MBC, 0.195 mg/mL). This is the first time that extracts of needles, twigs, branches, and bark of C. brevifolia are compared regarding their chemical composition as well as their antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. 相似文献
