Oxidation of Styrene with Molecular Oxygen in Supercritical CO2

The oxidation of styrene with molecular oxygen catalyzed by PdCl2 CuCl2 has been investigated in supercritical CO2 with a batch reactor. The oxidative system of styrene contains four components at the beginning and seven components during the reaction. The critical temperature, critical pressure, and critical density at different conversions are determined by using a high-pressure view cell. The effect of phase behavior on the conversion and selectivity were studied. Experimental results showed that the critical parameters of the reaction mixture at fixed initial molar ratio changed with the conversion of reactant. The conversion of styrene reached maximum near the critical density of the reaction mixture. Product selectivity also varied with density of reaction mixture and could be tuned to some degree.     

Promoting the Phosphidation Process using an Oxygen Vacancy Precursor for Efficient Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

Based on previous works, most of the transition metal phosphides (TMPs) were directly prepared by decomposing NaH₂PO₂ with the precursors at high temperatures, which resulted in different degrees of phosphidation in the final product. Therefore, it is necessary to design an innovative approach to enhance the degree of phosphidation in the material using crystal defects. Here, oxygen-vacancy iron oxide/iron foam (Ov-Fe₂O₃/IF) was firstly prepared by generating oxygen vacancy in situ in an iron foam through heating in vacuum conditions. Subsequently, FeP/IF was formed by phosphating Ov-Fe₂O₃/IF. Under the effects of oxygen vacancies, oxygen-vacancy iron oxide could be completely phosphatized to produce more active sites on the surface of the material. This, in turn, could result in a catalyst with exceptional hydrogen evolution activity. Thus, the successful fabrication of FeP/IF demonstrated in this work provides an effective and feasible way for the preparation of other high-efficiency catalysts.     

Selective 1,2-dihalogenation and oxy-1,1-dihalogenation of alkynes by N-halosuccinimides

1,2-Dihalogenation and oxy-1,1-dihalogenation of alkynes by N-halosuccinimides can be selectively realized through using different reaction conditions. α,β-Dihalo alkenes were obtained exclusively using THF as solvent without using any catalyst, while α,α-dihalo ketones were synthesized using a mixed solvent of THF and H₂O in the presence of FeCl₃·6H₂O. Terminal aromatic alkynes are smoothly transformed into α,α-dihalo ketones on water without a catalyst.

New photocatalyst BiOCl/BiOI composites with highly enhanced visible light photocatalytic performances

BiOCl/BiOI composites with a visible light response were prepared by a simple hydrothermal method. Even though both single BiOCl and BiOI show low photocatalytic activity, BiOCl/BiOI composites provide enhanced efficiency in decomposing organic compounds including Methyl Orange (MO) and Rhodamine B (RhB). Furthermore, the 20%BiOCl/BiOI composite shows the highest efficiency for decomposing MO, while the highest performance is observed for the degradation of RhB over 70%BiOCl/BiOI composite. A possible photocatalytic mechanism has been proposed based on the relative experiments and the band positions of BiOCl and BiOI.

ffects of the chain orientation in the global sense on the solvent induced crystallization (SINC),diffusion velocity of toluol into poly(ethylene terephtlialate)(PET)and crystallization morphology were:studied by using density measurement and SEM.It has been shown that the SINC and diffusion velocity of toluol into PET increase with increasing degree of chain orientation in global sense,and the chain orientatioll can be essentially remained during SINC.     

聚己内酯－聚乙二醇嵌段共聚物Ⅱ．组成、结晶性同降解性间关系

采用ＤＣＳ法测定了新嵌段共聚物聚己内酯－聚乙二醇嵌段共聚物的结晶性，研究了共聚物的结晶性同组成及降解性的关系。结果表明随着共聚物中ＰＥＧ组分的含量和分子量增加，共聚物的结晶性下降，亲水性提高，降解速度加快。
