The effect of variation of the scattered light intensity in a magnetic fluid with aggregates of magnetite particles several microns in size under the action of a magnetic field is studied. The effect relaxation times are determined when the magnetic field is turned on and off. This effect is found to be caused by the orientation of anisotropically magnetized aggregates. Experimental data are used to calculate the average anisotropy of the magnetic susceptibility of the aggregate and estimate its magnetic permeability.  相似文献

We study two estimators of the long-range parameter of a covariance stationary linear process. We show that one of the estimators achieve the optimal semiparametric rate of convergence, whereas the other has a rate of convergence as close as desired to the optimal rate. Moreover, we show that the estimators are asymptotically normal with a variance, which does not depend on any unknown parameter, smaller than others suggested in the literature. Finally, a small Monte Carlo study is included to illustrate the finite sample relative performance of our estimators compared to other suggested semiparametric estimators. More specifically, the Monte-Carlo experiment shows the superiority of the proposed estimators in terms of the Mean Squared Error. Crosslinking behaviors of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)/poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) alloy, filled with anhydrous copper sulfate (CuSO4) particles, were investigated for the first time by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) under hetero and isothermal modes, respectively. In the heterothermal testing, (NBR/PVC)/CuSO4 compound showed two marked increases in the storage modulus (E′), corresponding to coordination crosslinking of NBR-CuSO4 and self-crosslinking of NBR and PVC respectively. During the isothermal testing, a dramatic increase in E′ was found at the initial stage while that of original NBR/PVC alloy was not detected. The marked increase in E′ of (NBR/PVC)/CuSO4 compound was mainly due to the crosslinking induced by coordination between  CN and Cu2+. The increasing extent of E′ increased with the rise of CuSO4 content, suggesting the formation of a greater number of crosslinks. Moreover, the activation energy (Ea) of crosslinking process was about 139 kJ/mol. In this work, fourier transform infrared spectrum (FT-IR) and equilibrium swelling method were also performed for the characterization of the compound. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We propose a method for constructing noncommutative analogs of objects from classical calculus, differential geometry, topology, dynamical systems, etc. The standard (commutative) objects can be obtained from noncommutative ones by natural projections (a set of canonical homomorphisms). An abrupt rise of the field electron emission (FEE) current from a high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) being in the normal state has been detected. The current amplification with a factor reaching ∼106 occurs as an HTSC emitter is heated in the temperature range 110–170 K. The features of the temperature dependence of FEE are discussed. Measured parameters of the effect observed are presented. To study thermodynamic similarity of the properties of crystalline substances, we propose an approach connected with engaging of the metastable state region. Internal pressure and specific volume on the crystal’s stability boundary at T = 0 K are used as characteristic scales of thermodynamic variables. A semiempirical method of calculation of the stability boundary by the thermodynamic data related to the stable states region of a solid body is described. In the cases of argon and natrium, the stability boundary is calculated for a wide range of temperatures and pressures. Analysis of the properties of neon, argon, krypton, and xenon crystals in these variables indicates that the law of corresponding states holds for these substances.  相似文献
