Electrical transport properties of Ag metal-fluorescein sodium salt (FSS) organic layer-silicon junction have been investigated. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the diode show rectifying behavior consistent with a potential barrier formed at the interface. The diode indicates a non-ideal I-V behavior with an ideality factor higher than unity. The ideality factor of the Ag/FSS/p-Si diode decreases with increasing temperature and the barrier height increases with increasing temperature. The barrier height (φb=0.98 eV) obtained from the capacitance-voltage (C-V) curve is higher than barrier height (φb=0.72 eV) derived from the I-V measurements. The barrier height of the Ag/FSS/p-Si Schottky diode at the room temperature is significantly larger than that of the Ag/p-Si Schottky diode. It is evaluated that the FSS organic layer controls electrical charge transport properties of Ag/p-Si diode by excluding effects of the SiO2 residual oxides on the hybrid diode. 相似文献

We studied the properties of electromagnetic waves that were emitted from a source placed inside a left-handed medium based on a two-dimensional labyrinth. While the arguments of geometrical optics suggest that the field emitted from the source would be focused outside the left-handed medium no matter where the source was placed, our results proved the contrary. We found that the field emitted from the source was focused outside the left-handed medium when the source was placed inside the medium at a certain distance away from the interface. Moreover, our results showed that the field emitted from the source was focused on the subwavelength dimensions outside the left-handed medium. 相似文献

In this paper, we solve the steady-state form of the Boltzmann transport equation in homogeneous and heterogeneous tissue-like media with a finite element-spherical harmonics (FE-PN) radiation transport method. We compare FE-transport and diffusion solutions in terms of the ratio of absorption to reduced scattering coefficient, (μa/μs′) and the anisotropy factor g. Two different scattering phase function formulas are employed to model anisotropic scattering in the slab media with high g-value. In this correspondence, micro-genetic algorithm (MGA) application results for optimizing the performance of electronic feedback of a laser diode are presented. The goal of optimization is to find the maximum bandwidth of the laser diode with electronic feedback used in fiber optic digital communication. A numerical analysis of the system theory of the single-mode laser diode to obtain numerical results of the gain, the pulse response, and the harmonic distortion for electronic feedback is also presented. The dependence of the system gain on the feedback gain and delay is examined. The pulse response is studied and it is shown that a transmission rate over 1 Gbyte/s can be achieved. 相似文献

In this article, we investigate how the photonic band gaps and the variety of band dispersions of photonic crystals can be utilized for various applications and how they further give rise to completely novel optical phenomena. The enhancement of spontaneous emission through coupled cavity waveguides in a one-dimensional silicon nitride photonic microcrystal is investigated. We then present the highly directive radiation from sources embedded in two-dimensional photonic crystals. The manifestation of novel and intriguing optical properties of photonic crystals are exemplified experimentally by the negative refraction and the focusing of electromagnetic waves through a photonic crystal slab with subwavelength resolution. 相似文献

The lattice Boltzmann method is a discrete representation of the Boltzmann transport equation that has been employed for modeling transport of particles of different nature. In the present work, we describe the lattice Boltzmann methodology and implementation techniques for the phonon transport modeling in crystalline materials. We show that some phonon physical properties, e.g., mean free path and group velocity, should be corrected to their effective values for one- and two-dimensional simulations, if one uses the isotropic approximation. We find that use of the D2Q9 lattice for phonon transport leads to erroneous results in transient ballistic simulations, and the D2Q7 lattice should be employed for two-dimensional simulations. Furthermore, we show that at the ballistic regime, the effect of direction discretization becomes apparent in two dimensions, regardless of the lattice used. Numerical methodology, lattice structure, and implementation of initial and different boundary conditions for the D2Q7 lattice are discussed in detail. 相似文献

In this study, facile preparation of pure and nano-sized cobalt oxides particles was achieved using low-cost mechanical ball-milling synthesis route. Microstructural and morphological properties of synthesised products were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. XRD results indicated that the fabricated samples composed of cubic pure phase CoO and Co3O4 nanocrystalline particles with an average crystallite size of 37.2 and 31.8 nm, respectively. TEM images showed that the resulting samples consisted of agglomerates of particles with average diameter of about 37.6 nm for CoO and 31.9 nm for Co3O4. Phase purity of the prepared samples was further investigated due to their promising technological applications. Local atomic structure properties of the prepared nanoparticles were probed using synchrotron radiation-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) including X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). EXAFS data analysis further confirmed the formation of single-phase CoO and Co3O4 nanoparticles. In addition, structural properties of cobalt oxide nanoparticles were investigated by performing density functional theory calculations at B3LYP/TZVP level and Born–Oppenheimer molecular dynamics. Theoretical calculations for both prepared samples were found to be consistent with the experimental results derived from EXAFS analysis. Obtained results herein reveals that highly crystalline and pure phase CoO and Co3O4 nanoparticles can be synthesised using simple, inexpensive and eco-friendly ball-milling method for renewable energy applications involving fuel cells and water splitting devices. 相似文献

茶叶是大众青睐的健康饮品之一,但茶叶在机器采收和加工过程中,容易混入茶梗和昆虫异物,污染茶叶、影响其质量安全,是未来应防范和检测的重点。X射线成像技术,根据食品基质和异物的密度差实施检测,广泛适用于金属异物并延伸至高密度塑料,但对于茶梗、昆虫这类低密度有机异物尚不适用,所以迫切需要研发新型无损检测技术和方法。针对片状茶叶重叠、遮掩异物的问题,提出了电磁振动上料辅助近红外光谱和荧光图像的检测方案,进行绿茶中的内源性异物茶梗和外源性异物昆虫的在线检测研究。通过电磁振动上料辅助近红外光谱和荧光成像系统,采集了600~1 050 nm范围的近红外光谱600条和RGB-N四通道图像各65幅。采用451条光谱进行建模,其余149条光谱作为预测集,评估模型的性能,比较了去趋势(Detrending)、多元散射校正(MSC)、标准正态变换(SNV)、变权重正态变换(VSN)、迭代自适应加权惩罚最小二乘法(airPLS)、不对称最小二乘法(ALS)、光程估计与校正(OPLEC)等不同光谱预处理方法的处理效果,其中OPLEC能较好地消除散射效应,偏最小二乘判别分析(PLS-DA)模型的正确识别率由78%提... 相似文献
