Co(III) complexes of N(3)O-donor tripodal ligands, 2,4-di(tert-butyl)-6-{[bis(2-pyridyl)methyl]aminomethyl}phenolate (tbuL), 2,4-di(tert-butyl)-6-{[bis(6-methyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]aminomethyl}phenolate (tbuL(Mepy)(2)), were prepared, and precursor Co(II) complexes, [Co(tbuL)Cl] (1) and [Co(tbuL(Mepy)(2))Cl] (2), and ternary Co(III) complexes, [Co(tbuL)(acac)]ClO(4) (3), [Co(tbuL)(tbu-cat)] (4), and [Co(tbuL(Mepy)(2))(tbu-SQ)]ClO(4) (5), where acac, tbu-cat, and tbu-SQ refer to pentane-2,4-dionate, 3,5-di(tert-butyl)catecholate, and 3,5-di(tert-butyl)semiquinonate, respectively, were structurally characterized by the X-ray diffraction method. Complexes 3 and 5 have a mononuclear structure with a fac-N(3)O(3) donor set, while 4 has a mer-N(3)O(3) structure. The cyclic voltammogram (CV) of complex 3 exhibited one reversible redox wave centered at 0.93 V (vs Ag/AgCl) in CH(3)CN. Complex 5 was converted to a phenoxyl radical species upon oxidation with Ce(IV), showing a characteristic pi-pi* transition band at 412 nm. The ESR spectrum at low temperature and the resonance Raman spectrum of 3 established that the radical species has a Co(III)-phenoxyl radical bond. On the other hand, the CVs showed two oxidation processes at E(1/2) = 0.01 and E(pa) = 0.92 V for 4 and E(1/2a) = 0.05 and E(1/2b) = 0.69 V for 5. The rest potential of 4 (-0.11 V) was lower than the E(1/2) value, whereas that of 5 (0.18 V) was higher, indicating that the first redox wave of 4 and 5 is assigned to the tbu-cat and the tbu-SQ redox process, respectively. One-electron oxidized 4 showed absorption, resonance Raman, and ESR spectra which are similar to those of 5, suggesting formation of a stable Co(III)-semiquinonate species, which has the same oxidation level of 5. The resonance Raman spectrum of two-electron oxidized 4 showed the nu(8a) bands of the semiquinonate and phenoxyl radical, which were absent in the spectrum of one-electron oxidized 5. Since both oxidized species were ESR inactive at 5 K, the former was concluded to be a biradical species containing semiquinonate and phenoxyl radicals coupled antiferromagnetically and the latter to a species with a coordinated quinone.  相似文献

New triazine-type dehydrocondensing reagents, such as ROMP-Trz-Cl and ROMP(OH)-Trz-Cl, were synthesized by a ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) method, and these showed higher loading than conventional polymer-supported condensing reagents. These polymers effect the formation of amides in good yields by addition of a mixture of carboxylic acid, amine and NMM. ROMP(OH)-Trz-Cl, which contains hydroxyl groups in the polymer chain, gave amides in good yields even in MeOH.  相似文献

Lengthy molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were performed at constant atmospheric pressure and different temperatures for the series of the 4-n-alkyl-4'-cyanobiphenyls (nCB) with n = 6, 7, and 8. The accurate atomistic force field (Bizzarri, M.; Cacelli, I.; Prampolini, G; Tani, A. J. Phys. Chem. A 2004, 108, 10336), successfully employed to reproduce thermodynamic and transport properties of the 5CB molecule, has here been extended to higher homologues. Nematic and isotropic phases were found for all members of the series, and also, a smectic phase was (tentatively) identified for 8CB at 1 atm and 300 K. Transition temperatures reproduce the experimental values within +/-10 K. Also, structural properties as second and fourth rank orientational order parameters are in good agreement with the corresponding experimental quantities. This means that the well-known odd-even effect, observed for many properties along the nCB series, is well reproduced, despite the narrow range of oscillations, e.g., in clearing temperatures. A detailed analysis of the correlation between molecular properties and odd-even effects is presented.  相似文献

Applications of high polymers, especially conventional polymers used in an extracorporeal blood purification system, are discussed through the development of an LDL (low-density lipoprotein) apheresis system. An adsorption-based blood purification system designed to remove LDL selectively (a major risk factor leading to severe heart disease) was developed using dextransulfate as the specific ligand to adsorb LDL. Dextransulfate, in order to give a novel function similar to that of an LDL receptor, was covalently bound to porous cellulose beads with optimized morphology. The sophisticated function of an LDL receptor was successfully mimicked by the appropriate combination of well-defined conventional polymers, namely dextransulfate and cellulose. A total apheresis system, including a plasma separator, was also designed solely utilizing high polymers. This enabled the total system to be disposable, ensuring reliability. High polymers used in the system were all conventional polymers, those already qualified and evaluated for medical use. In designing this new blood purification system, our approach was to employ many of the conventional and qualified polymers, leading to a system industrially manufacturable, reliable and accepted as standard treatment in the medical community. This system demonstrated efficacy for the treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia, and is widely used in the world as standard treatment. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Several potassium selenocarboxylates were synthesized in moderate to good yields by the direct reaction of acyl chlorides with potassium selenide. The potassium salts were readily oxidized with XeF2 to give diacyl diselenides in quantitative yields. The structure of di(4‐methoxybenzoyl) diselenide was established by X‐ray diffraction analysis. Intramolecular interactions between the carbonyl oxygen and the selenium that is connected to the opposite carbonyl group were observed. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The retention of nucleic acid bases and purine derivatives on titania was studied using a 0.4 mM acetic acid–sodium acetate buffer (pH 6.0) and 70% aqueous methanol as mobile phases. We observed that the retention strength of tested analytes on titania was dependent on the structural differences between pyrimidine and purine skeletons and the variety and number of substituents. The retention order was purine derivatives with methyl groups, pyrimidine bases and purine derivatives with hydrophilic functional groups, which were retained most strongly on titania. We concluded that the retention of each analyte was caused by the analyte’s hydrophobicity in the case of purine derivatives with methyl groups and pyrimidine bases. In the case of purine and its derivatives with hydrophilic functional groups, it was considered that the retention was dependent on the analyte’s ability to form chelates, and the variety and number of functional groups on C6 and C2.  相似文献

A novel series of benzoic acid derivatives as VLA-4 antagonists were synthesized. Optimization, focusing on activity and lipophilicity needed for cell permeability, resulted in the identification of 15b and 15e with good activity (IC50 = 1.6 nM each) and moderate lipophilicity (Log D = 2.0, 1.8). Furthermore, 15e demonstrated efficacy in murine asthma model by an oral dose of 30 mg/kg.  相似文献
