Flexible hosts, 6A,6B-; 6A,6C-; 6A,6D-; and 6A,6E-bis dansylglycine-modified -cyclodextrins (-1, -2, -3, and -4, respectively) have been synthesized as a sensing molecule for organic guests including terpenoids and bile acids. These host compounds show a pure monomer fluorescence whose intensity is decreased or enhanced upon addition of guest species. The value I/I0, where I and I0 are fluorescence intensities in the presence and absence of a guest and I is I0- I, was used as a parameter of sensitivity. These hosts exhibit highly sensitive and selective molecular recognition ability, particularly, for lithochoic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, and ursodeoxycholic acid. The behaviors of the appended moieties of these hosts when host–guest complexation occurs are studied by induced circular dichroism (ICD) spectra and fluorescence spectral change on accommodation of a guest. The ICD pattern of these hosts alone or on accommodation of a guest is very similar, indicating that the behavior of the appended moieties are very similar. The guest-induced variations in the fluorescence or ICD intensity suggest that the appended moieties act as a hydrophobic cap that enables the cyclodextrin to form 1 : 1 host–guest complexes.  相似文献

A P-stereogenic linear tetraphosphine tetraoxide, (R,R)- or (S,S)-dpmppm(=O)4, was synthesized to prepare C2 dinuclear M(hfa)3 complexes (M=Eu, Tb, Y) as the first example of lanthanide(III) complexes with P-chiral multidentate phosphine oxides. The mononuclear M(hfa)3 complexes (M=Eu, Y) with a P-chiral diphosphine dioxide, tpdpb(=O)2, were also prepared, and comparison of their photophysical properties for the EuIII complexes revealed that significant chiral induction from the P-chiral centers arises on the achiral M(hfa)3 units through intramolecular π-π stacking constraint in the dinuclear system.  相似文献

Anchusa italica Retz has been used for a long time in phytotherapy. The aim of the present study was to determine the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of extracts from the leaves and roots of Anchusa italica Retz. We first determined the content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids using Folin–Ciocalteu reagents and aluminum chloride (AlCl3). The antioxidant activity was determined using three methods: reducing power (FRAP), 2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), total antioxidant capacity (TAC). The antimicrobial activity was investigated against four strains of Escherichia coli, two strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus, and one fungal strain of Candida albicans. The results showed that the root extract was rich in polyphenols (43.29 mg GAE/g extract), while the leave extract was rich in flavonoids (28.88 mg QE/g extract). The FRAP assay showed a strong iron reduction capacity for the root extract (IC50 of 0.11 µg/mL) in comparison to ascorbic acid (IC50 of 0.121 µg/mL). The DPPH test determined an IC50 of 0.11 µg/mL for the root extract and an IC50 of 0.14 µg/mL for the leaf extract. These values are low compared to those for ascorbic acid (IC50 of 0.16 µg/mL) and BHT (IC50 0.20 µg/mL). The TAC values of the leaf and root extracts were 0.51 and 0.98 mg AAE/g extract, respectively. In vitro, the extract showed inhibitory activity against all strains studied, with diameters of zones of inhibition in the range of 11.00–16.00 mm for the root extract and 11.67–14.33 mm for the leaf extract. The minimum inhibitory concentration was recorded for the leaf extract against E. coli (ATB:57), corresponding to 5 mg/mL. Overall, this research indicates that the extracts of Anchusa italica Retz roots and leaves exert significant antioxidant and antibacterial activities, probably because of the high content of flavonoids and polyphenols.  相似文献

Different heterocyclic compounds were prepared starting from 2‐hydroxy benzohydrazide; for example, cyclization of hydrazide hydrazone 3 derived from 2‐hydroxybenzohydrazide 2 with acetic anhydride or concentrated sulfuric acid gave 1,3,4‐oxadiazole derivatives 4 – 5 . On the other hand, direct cyclization of 2‐hydroxy benzohydrazide 2 with one carbon cyclizing agent gave a new derivative of 1,3,4‐oxadiazole 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 . Heating of hydrazide hydrazone 3 with thioglycolic acid in pyridine gave thiazolidinone 12 . When 2‐hydroxy benzohydrazide 2 reacted with aliphatic carboxylic acids such as formic acid or acetic acid, it gave the corresponding N‐formyl or N‐acetyl derivatives 6 . Subsequent cyclization of 6 using phosphorous pentasulphide in pyridine gave 1,3,4‐thiadiazoles 13 . Cyclization of 2‐hydroxy benzohydrazide with ethyl acetoacetate gives pyrazolone derivative 14 . Finally, when an ethanolic solution of acid hydrazide 2 was treated with ammonium thiocyanate in 35% HCl, it gave the thiosemicarbazide 15 . Subsequent treatment of 15 with concentrated sulfuric acid or 10% sodium hydroxide gave 5‐amino‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole 16 and 1,2,4‐triazole 17 , respectively. The structures of all newly isolated compounds were confirmed using 1H NMR, IR spectra, and elemental analyses. The antimicrobial activities for all isolated compounds were examined against different microorganisms.  相似文献

A simple and selective method for the determination of sulphamethazine (SMT) and its metabolite, N4-acetylsulphamethazine (N4-AcSMT), in meat by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with photodiode-array detection was developed. The drugs were extracted from meat with 0.2% metaphosphoric acid-methanol (6:4), followed by a Bond-Elut C18 clean-up procedure. The HPLC separation was carried out on a Supersphere RP-18e column (125 X 4.0 mm I.D.) using 0.05 M sodium dihydrogenphosphate (pH 4.5)-acetonitrile (8:2) as the mobile phase at a flow-rate of 0.5 ml/min, and monitored with a photodiode-array detector. The recoveries of SMT and N4-AcSMT from meat fortified at 0.5 micrograms/g were 90.1-93.3 and 93.0-94.4%, respectively, with coefficients of variation of 1.9-3.2 and 1.5-2.7%. The limits of detection were 0.02 micrograms/g for each drug. SMT was found in ten samples of imported meat (12.5%) at levels ranging from 0.05 to 1.05 micrograms/g.  相似文献

Abstract— The quaternary structure of pea phytochrome type I (PI) dimer in the red-light-absorbing form was studied by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) technique and rotary-shadowing electron microscopy. Structural parameters for PI 114 kDa chromopeptide dimer and its tryptically digested N-terminal 59 kDa chromopeptide monomer, such as average electron density, molecular volume and the second moment of electron density distribution, were determined in terms of SAXS using the contrast variation method. Furthermore, by means of model simulation for the scattering profiles of the chromopeptides, most plausible structural models for both peptides were constructed. The distance between the chromophoric domains was estimated to be about 70 A in the resultant model for 114 kDa chromopeptide dimer. Furthermore, the model was consistent with the electron-micrographic images of both the intact PI dimer and the PI 114 kDa chromopeptide dimer, so that the N-terminal 7 kDa fragment did not significantly contribute the low-resolution images of the dimer.  相似文献

Syntheses and radical polymerizations of vinyl and isopropenyl carbamates having L -leucine methyl ester structures, N-vinyloxycarbonyl-L -leucine methyl ester (VOC-L-M) and N-isopropenyloxycarbonyl-L -leucine methyl ester (IOC-L-M), were carried out. VOC-L-M and IOC-L-M were prepared by the reactions of L -leucine methyl ester with vinyl and isopropenyl chloroformates in the presence of sodium hydrogen carbonate. The radical polymerization of VOC-L-M with AIBN (1 mol %) in bulk, chlorobenzene, methanol, and N,N-dimethylformamide afforded the corresponding polymer (poly(VOC-L-M)) with M n 7,400–19,000. Meanwhile, IOC-L-M afforded no polymer with AIBN at 60°C but afforded a polymer having low molecular weight with BPO at 80°C. The glass transition temperatures of poly(VOC-L-M) and poly(IOC-L-M) were 53 and 65°C, respectively. The 10% weight loss temperatures of poly(VOC-L-M) and poly(IOC-L-M) under nitrogen were 255 and 173, respectively. The copolymerization parameters of VOC-L-M (M1) and vinyl acetate (M2) were evaluated as r1 = 0.92 and r2 = 0.63. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The absolute configuration and conformation of 1-phenylethanol (1-PhEtOH) have been determined by matrix-isolation infrared (IR) and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectroscopy combined with quantum chemical calculations. Quantum chemical calculations have identified that there are three conformers, namely, I, II, and III, in which characteristic intramolecular interactions are found. The IR spectrum-conformation correlation for 1-PhEtOH has been developed by the Ar matrix-isolation IR measurement and used for the assignments of the observed IR bands. In a dilute CCl(4) solution, 1-PhEtOH exists predominantly as conformer I along with a trace amount of conformer II. By considering conformations and intermolecular hydrogen-bonding in the spectral simulation for (S)-1-PhEtOH, we have successfully reproduced the VCD spectrum of (-)-1-PhEtOH observed in a dilute CS(2) solution. Thus, (-)-1-PhEtOH is of S-configuration and conformer I in the dilute solution. The same method has been applied to analyze the VCD spectra measured in the liquid state of (-)-1-PhEtOH. The absolute configuration of 1-PhEtOH in the condensed phase is enabled by identifying VCD bands that are insensitive to conformational changes and intermolecular interactions. The present work provides a combinatorial procedure for determination of both the absolute configuration and the conformation of chiral molecules in a dilute solution and condensed phase.  相似文献

The size and shape of novel partially fluorinated gemini surfactant 1,2-bis[dimethyl-(3-perfluoroalkyl-2-hydroxypropyl)ammonium]ethane bromide (CnFC3-2-C3CnF, where n=4, 6, and 8) were investigated in aqueous solution by means of light scattering and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The sizes of these molecular aggregates changed with increasing carbon number of the alkyl chain and concentration. For example, the apparent hydrodynamic radius by dynamic light scattering was 18 nm at a concentration of cmcx5 for n=4, 115 nm at the cmcx15 for n=6, and 62 nm at the cmcx30 for n=8, at 298.2 K. The shapes of CnFC3-2-C3CnF aggregates drastically changed with the alkyl chain length; the aggregates were mainly in the form of large or irregular small aggregates (n=4), string-like aggregates (n=6), and vesicles (n=8). The bromide-ion activity was measured using a bromide-ion-selective electrode to determine the degree of counterion binding to the aggregates. The degree of counterion binding to aggregate was very small compared with that in the typical hydrogenated gemini surfactants. These results indicated that the small curvature of large aggregates was not influenced by an electrostatic repulsion between the cationic head groups in the case of the bulky molecular volume of fluorinated gemini surfactants.  相似文献
