Mesoporous YSZ–γ-Al2O3 membranes were coated on α-Al2O3 (Ø2 mm) tube by dipping the α-Al2O3 support tube into mixed sol consists of nano-size YSZ and bohemite particles followed by drying and calcination at 600 °C. Addition of bohemite in YSZ sol helped a good adhesion and uniform coating of the membrane film onto α-Al2O3 support. The quality of the mesoporous YSZ–γ-Al2O3 membranes was evaluated by the gas permeability experiments. The number of defects was minimized when the γ-Al2O3 content became more than 40%. Addition of γ-Al2O3 inhibited the crystal growth of YSZ, sintering shrinkage and distortion stress. Increase of calcination temperature and time results in the increase of pore size and N2 permeance. A hydrogen perm-selective membrane was prepared by filling palladium into the nano-pores of YSZ–γ-Al2O3 layer by vacuum-assisted electroless plating. Crystal growth of palladium was observed by thermal annealing of the membrane at 600 °C for 40 h. The Pd–YSZ–γ-Al2O3 composite membrane revealed improved thermal stability allowing long-term operation at elevated temperature (>500 °C). This has been attributed to the improved fracture toughness of YSZ–γ-Al2O3 layer and matching of thermal expansion coefficient between palladium and YSZ. Although fracture of the membrane did not occur, decline of H2 flux was observed when the membrane was exposed in 600 °C. This has been attributed to the agglomeration of palladium particles by crystal growth and dense packing into the pore networks of YSZ–γ-Al2O3 by elevation of temperature. 相似文献

Ordered aromatic polyamides and copolyamides were prepared by the polycondensation of terephthaloyl and isophthaloyl dichlorides with symmetrical diamines containing preformed amide linkages derived from unsymmetrical methyl—substituted aromatic diamines at low temperature. Thermal properties and solubilities of the ordered polyamides were compared with those of the corresponding random polyamides. There was little difference between thermal stabilities of the ordered polyamide and the corresponding random one, while the former was less soluble in organic solvents than the latter, depending on the extent of hydrogen bonding of the amide groups. The thermal stability of the alternating copolyamides containing both terephthaloyl and isophthaloyl groups as acid components was less than that of the corresponding homopolymers having either a terephthaloyl or an isophthaloyl group, and the solubility of the former resembled that of the corresponding ordered homopolysiophthalamides in accord with the extent of hydrogen bonding of the amide groups in both polymers. 相似文献

Solvolysis rates of 2‐(aryldimethylsilyl)‐1‐methylethyl and 2‐(aryldimethylsilyl)‐1‐tert‐butylethyl trifluoroacetates were determined conductimetrically in 60% (v/v) aqueous ethanol. The effects of aryl substituents at the silicon atom on the solvolysis rates at 50 °C were correlated with parameters of r+ = 0.15 with the Yukawa–Tsuno equation, giving ρ values of ?1.5 for both secondary α‐Me and α‐tert‐Bu systems. The ρ values for those secondary systems are less negative than ?1.75 for the 2‐(aryldimethylsilyl)ethyl system that proceeds by the Eaborn (non‐vertical) mechanism, while they are distinctly more negative than ?0.99 for 2‐(aryldimethylsilyl)‐1‐phenylethyl system that should proceed by the Lambert (vertical) mechanism. There was a fairly linear relationship between the reaction constants (ρ) for the β‐silyl substituent effects and the solvolysis reactivities for a series of β‐silyl substrates. The solvolyses of the α‐Me and tert‐Bu substrates proceed through the transition state (TS) with an appreciable degree of the β‐silyl participation, close to the Eaborn (non‐vertical) TS rather than to the Lambert (vertical) TS. The synthesis and polymerization of N-[1-(1-substituted-2-oxopropyl)]acrylamides and -methacrylamides are described. Seven new monomers were prepared by two kinds of synthetic procedure. The polymerization of these monomers was carried out. Monomer reactivity ratios in the polymerization of these monomers with styrene were determined and the Alfrey-Price Q and e values calculated. Helices composed of stacked layers are present in the novel silicate obtained from a silica sol and NaOH by hydrothermal synthesis in the presence of tetramethylammonium (TMA) hydroxide and 1,4-dioxane. The helical morphology is evident in scanning electron micrographs (see picture). We investigated the photodegradation of specific ethylene-norbornene random copolymers (ENRC) - a group of substances which has been attracting much attention in recent years. ENRCs having various contents of norbornene were studied. After irradiation, each sample was separated into chloroform-insoluble and soluble portions. The chloroform-insoluble portion was weighed and analyzed by FTIR. The chloroform-soluble portion was analyzed by size elimination chromatography (SEC), FTIR and 1H NMR. The yield of the chloroform-insoluble portion increased with increased irradiation time. Formyl, formate, acyl, hydroxy groups and a carbon-carbon double bond were formed by photo-irradiation. Apparently, hydrogen atoms bound to the tertiary and secondary carbon atom in the parent ENRCs are abstracted. From these results, it is suggested that auto-oxidation results from photo-irradiation of the ENRCs. In ENRCs with similar stereoregularity, the degree of photodegradation increases with increasing norbornene content. 相似文献
