Synthesis and structure characterization of a novel series of N-alkylphthalimidylaminocarbonylmethoxylcalix [4] arenes

A novel series of N-alkylphthalimidylaminocarbonylmethoxylcalix[4]arenes with the reaction between 4-(N-bromoacetyla- mino)-phthalimide derivatives and calix[4]arene has been synthesized and structurally characterized by IR,~1HNMR and MS.From their analysis data,it was found that compounds 7a-7d adopted a cone conformation.     

二安替比林基-4-羟基苯基甲烷及其与铬(Ⅵ)显色反应的研究

合成了二安替比林基-4-羟基苯基甲烷(DApHM),研究了它与铬(Ⅵ)的显色反应,建立了两个测定铬(Ⅵ)的新体系.在Mn(Ⅱ)和磷酸存在下,DApHM与 Cr(Ⅵ)反应生成橙红色产物,λ_max为435nm.CTMAB和Tween-80对该体系有明显增敏效果,其中CTMAB-DApHM-Cr(Ⅵ)体系ε为1.0 ×10~6;Tween-80-DApHM-Cr(Ⅵ)体系ε为6.9×10~5.Cr(Ⅵ)量在0.1～0.7μg/25mL间符合比尔定律.用于电镀废液和自来水中Cr(Ⅵ)的测定,结果满意.     

A new catalyst for direct synthesis of dimethyl ether from synthesis gas

A new catalyst has been prepared by coprecipitation sedimentation method developed in our laboratory. It exhibits excellent catalytic activity, selectivity and stability for conversion of synthesis gas to dimethyl ether: conversion of CO 92%, selectivity of dimethyl ether 98%. Catalytic properties of the catalyst show no evident change after being used for 100 h.

RNA oligomers greater than 35-40 mers in length form in one day in the montmorillonite clay-catalyzed reaction of unblocked RNA monomers at 25 degrees C in aqueous solution.     

In situ prepared polypyrrole for low humidity QCM sensor and related theoretical calculation

In situ preparation of polypyrrole (Ppy) by photo-polymerization coated on a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) as a low humidity sensor was reported. Different concentrations of Ppy films say 0 wt.% (as blank), 0.1, 1, and 10 wt.% were investigated to measure humidity concentrations between 14.7 and 5412.5 ppm_v. The adsorption/desorption behavior was also examined at humidity concentration 510.2 ppm_v. The sensitivities of 0, 0.1 and 1 wt.% Ppy films at 51.5 ppm_v were 0.143, 0.219 and 0.427, respectively. For 1 wt.% Ppy, the highest sensitivity was obtained. The slope and correlation coefficients (R²) for 1 wt.% Ppy at the ranges of 14.7–898.6 ppm_v were 0.0646 and 0.9909, respectively. A series of molecular simulations have been carried out to calculate bond energy for the water molecule interaction with Ppy, which was found to be 3 kcal/mol indicating the existence of hydrogen bonding during the sorption process. Based on Langmuir isotherm adsorption assumption, for 0.1 and 1 wt.% Ppy films, the association constants were 2606.30 and 5792.98, respectively. This larger association constant for 1 wt.% Ppy film explains higher sensitivity.

Solid-phase synthesis of 1,2-diheterocyclic-substituted (E)-olefins from a supported selenium resin

A library of 1,2,3-triazoles, isoxazoles, 1,2,4-oxadiazoles, and isoxazoline-containing 1,2-di-heterocyclic-substituted compounds with three points of diversity linked by an E double bond were prepared. Key steps include a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and Porco's two-step, one-pot condensation and alpha-alkylation reaction of selenium resins.

Rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of functionalized olefins using monodentate spiro phosphoramidite ligands

Novel chiral monodentate phosphorus ligands, SIPHOS, were conveniently synthesized from 1,1'-spirobiindane-7,7'-diol. The Rh complexes of SIPHOS can catalyze the hydrogenation of alpha-dehydroamino esters in mild conditions, providing alpha-amino acid derivatives in up to 99% ee. Enamides and beta-dehydroamino esters can also be hydrogenated in good to excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99% and 94% ee, respectively). The SIPHOS ligand with smaller alkyl groups on the N-atom afforded higher enantioselectivity. The X-ray analysis of single crystal showed that the structure of Rh/SIPHOS catalyst is [Rh(COD)((S)-SIPHOS-Me)(2)](+), which clarified the configuration of the catalyst with the monodentate chiral phosphorus ligand in Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation. A positive nonlinear effect in the relationship of the optical purities of ligand and product was observed in the hydrogenation of dehydroamino acid derivatives. The kinetic study of hydrogenation showed that the reaction is zero order in the concentration of substrate and first order in the concentration of Rh catalyst and the hydrogenation pressure. The rate of hydrogenation decreased when the Rh/L ratio changed from 1:1 to 1:4.
