The present series of papers is the commencement of a study aimed at the direct detection and quantification of crosslinking in hydrocarbons with the ultimate objective of a precise study of radiation-induced crosslinking in polyethylene. The subject of the present paper is the synthesis of a model compound containing a crosslink in a well-defined position sufficiently remote from the chain ends to be representative of an average crosslink in polyethylene. Such a compound in the form of 1,1,2,2-tetra(tridecyl) ethane has been synthetized and isolated in pure form in the course of the present work. Melting points and x-ray spacings of the new compound have been determined, and a comparison with the corresponding linear paraffins has been made. Effects are noted relating to the influence of molecular shape on the GPC elution volume, in which context an observation on a cyclic paraffin is also quoted.  相似文献

A new thiosemicarbazone was prepared, characterized, and used as a complexing reagent for the chromatographic separation and determination of metal complexes by reverse-phase HPLC. The reagent was sufficiently soluble in methanol-water solutions for metal ions to be complexed in this aqueous organic phase, without need for extraction. Many variables affected the retention times of the metal complexes. Several metals were determined selectively by complexation with the reagent and chromatographic separation of the complexes. Interference effects from other metal ions were also investigated.  相似文献

The mass spectra of three bicyclic γ-lactones have been studied, and the fragmentation pathways have been proposed with the aid of accurate mass measurements and metastable transitions. An unusually low [M ? CH3] ion and the presence of an abundant [M ? C5H9] ion in the mass spectrum of dihydroactinidiolide were interpreted as a possible rearrangement involving a methyl migration. The eliminations of methyl radical, carbon monoxide and ketene are important processes in many cases.  相似文献

4-tert-Butyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one dimerizes in THF solution via its kinetic enolate, leading to di-tert-butylditwistane 8 in up to 36% yield (−78 °C → room temp., protonolysis, flash chromatography). X-ray crystallography shows that 8 incorporates one R and one S enantiomer of the starting ketone; none of the diastereomeric ditwistanes epi-8, epi’-8 or iso-8 was isolated. This means that the formation of 8 proceeds with mutual kinetic resolution and 100% induced diastereoselectivity.  相似文献

On the Synthesis of Derivatives of Pyrido[1,2-a]lazepine The conjugated pyridinium ylides of type 4 undergo 8π -electrocyclisation affording the heterobicyclic allenes 5 which, in the presence of H2O and H2O2, are subsequently transformed into the substituted pyrido[1,2-a]-azepinones 6, a novel heterocyclic system. The chemical behaviour of 6a,b is dominated by cleavage of the lactam bond and subsequent reaction to pyridinc and isoquinoline derivatives, respectively; e.g. reaction of 6a, b with 4,5-dihydro-4-methyl-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-dione affords the cycloadducts 11 and 12 almost quantitatively. The successful transformation of 6b into 15 is described, the latter being the first representative of the presently unknown, potentially antiaromatic pyrido[1,2-a]azepine ( 1 ).  相似文献

Single-crystal preparations of polyethylene were treated with the selective oxidizing agent, fuming nitric acid. The degraded products were examined as regards layer thickness (by low-angle x-ray studies), chemical and weight changes, recrystallization and annealing treatments, and by broadline NMR, as part of a systematic investigation aimed at clarifying the nature of disordered material in single crystals. It emerges that there is a disordered-mobile region along the fold surface of the crystals in agreement with other parallel works along similar lines. In a more detailed analysis we can now decompose the nitric acid attack into components affecting the basal and side surfaces, respectively. Taking into account the recrystallization–annealing observations, we infer that the fold surface is heterogeneous with folds of more than one kind. These results were combined with a preliminary molecular weight distribution study by gel permeation chromatography. Taking into account all the available evidence, we are led to suggest a composite structure where surface looseness, coresponding to long loops and hairs, is superimposed on the more regular folded surface. This model is in the process of being tested. The problems concerning the assignment of a value to the amount of surface looseness are being discussed. In addition, a discontinuity in the thermal behavior of the crystals between 75 and 80°C. has been detected.  相似文献

An ab initio SCF calculation of 42 points of the energy hypersurface of the fluoronium ion is presented using a contracted F(5s/3p), H(2s) gaussian basis set. In its equilibrium structure a bond length of 1.812 a.u. and a HFH bond angle of 127.2° are predicted. The calculated vibrational frequencies for H2F+, HDF+, and D2F+ are in good agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献
