An expectation value approach to calculations of first-order properties using the non-iterative, triple-excitation amplitudes
in the coupled cluster wave function is exploited. Three methods are suggested and analysed using the many body perturbation
theory (MBPT) expansion arguments. The first method, in which non-iterative triple-excitation amplitudes are used in the expression
for the expectation values, makes the wave function accurate through the second order of MBPT. In the second method, which
is an extension of the first, effects of triple-excitation amplitudes are coupled with single- and double-excitation amplitudes.
The correlated density matrix equivalent through the fourth order to that obtained when CCSDT-la amplitudes are used is employed
in the third method. The suggested methods are tested on dipole moment and polarizability calculations for several diatomic
closed-shell molecules and are compared to other related approaches.

The rhenium furan complexes TpRe(CO)(MeIm)(eta2-2-methylfuran) (1) and TpRe(CO)(MeIm)(eta2-2,5-dmethylfuran) (2) undergo Lewis acid-promoted cyclopentannulation reactions with enones and enals to generate 3-acetylcyclopentene complexes. During the reaction, a rearrangement occurs such that the alpha and beta carbons of the enone are incorporated into the new carbocycle. Treatment of these complexes with an oxidant (H2O2 or silver triflate) liberates the acetylcyclopentene. When a resolved form of the rhenium complex is used, the acetylcyclopentenes can be obtained enantioselectively. 相似文献

Potatoes and tomatoes, members of the Solanaceae plant family, serve as major, inexpensive low-fat food sources providing for energy, high-quality protein, fiber, vitamins, pigments, as well as other nutrients. These crops also produce biologically active secondary metabolites, which may have both adverse and beneficial effects in the diet. This limited overview, based largely on our studies with the aid of HPLC, TLC, ELISA, GC-MS, and UV spectroscopy, covers analytical aspects of two major potato trisaccharide glycoalkaloids, alpha-chaconine and alpha-solanine, and their hydrolysis products (metabolites) with two, one, and zero carbohydrate groups; the potato water-soluble nortropane alkaloids calystegine A3 and B2; the principal potato polyphenolic compound chlorogenic acid; potato inhibitors of digestive enzymes; the tomato tetrasaccharide glycoalkaloids dehydrotomatine and alpha-tomatine and hydrolysis products; the tomato pigments beta-carotene, lycopene, and chlorophyll; and the anticholinergic alkaloids atropine and scopolamine present in Datura stramonium (jimson weed) seeds that contaminate grain and animal feed. Fucosylation of glycans impacts a myriad of physiological and pathological processes. Inhibition of fucose expression emerges as a potential therapeutic avenue for example in cancer, inflammation, and infection. In this study, we found that protected 2-fluorofucose 1-phosphate efficiently inhibits cellular fucosylation with a four to seven times higher potency than known inhibitor 2FF, independently of the anomeric stereochemistry. Nucleotide sugar analysis revealed that both the α- and β-GDP-2FF anomers are formed inside the cell. In conclusion, we developed A2FF1P and B2FF1P as potent new tools for studying the role of fucosylation in health and disease and they are potential therapeutic candidates. 相似文献

Explicitly correlated MBPT-R12 and coupled cluster [up to CCSD(T)-R12] methods have been used in calculations of various
(vibrationless) electrical properties for the LiH molecule, including the dipole and quadrupole moments, dipole and quadrupole
polarizability tensors, dipole hyperpolarizability tensors, and the second dipole hyperpolarizability tensors. Generally,
with extension of the basis set the R12 method did not lead to faster convergence for the calculated properties towards the
basis limit. Nevertheless, R12 calculations serve as useful indicators to judge the reliability of the results, and substantially
help in determining the accuracy. Results obtained with the 11s8p6d5f/9s8p6d5f basis and CCSD(T)-R12 calculated within this work should be close to the basis set limit.

A protocol for the preparation of polymeric samples for time-of-flight matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (TOF-MALDI-MS) analysis was developed. Dithranol was identified as a good matrix for polystyrene (PS), and the addition of silver for cationization of molecules was determined to be necessary. Based on this preparative method, low molecular weight samples of other polymers [polyisoprene, polybutadiene, poly(ethylene oxide), poly(methyl methacrylate), and polydimethylsiloxane] were analyzed with molecular weights up to 49 ku. The effects of laser intensity were determined to influence the molecular weight distribution of intact oligomers, most significantly for low molecular weight polymers. Linear and reflectron modes of analysis were evaluated; better signal intensity and resolution were obtained in the reflectron mode. The TOF-MALDI-MS measurements are compared with time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) for the same polymers. The M n values calculated by TOF-MALDI-MS consistently are higher than values calculated by TOF-SIMS for all classes of polymers with molecular weights up to 8 ku. The molecular weights of the PS calculated from TOF-MALDI-MS are in good agreement with GPC (±10%). The composition of the terminal group on a polymer chain may affect the ion yields. The ion yields of intact oligomers were evaluated as a function of end group composition for both TOF-MALDI-MS and TOF-SIMS. The slight disparity of results between TOF-SIMS and TOF-MALDI-MS for the perfluoroalkyl-terminated PS suggests that the oligomers are desorbed preferentially from the surface in the TOF-SIMS analysis, rather than having an increased ionization probability. 相似文献
