Pair correlations and the magnetic susceptibility of electrons in a spherical cavity are studied both for grand canonical and the canonical ensemble. The coupling constant of the BCS Hamiltonian is adjusted to experimental values of the gap parameter. The gap parameter is found to increase for small grains as a consequence of the pronounced shell structure in the spectrum of the spherical cavity. The sharp phase transition at Tc is smeared out for the canonical ensemble. The strong paramagnetic susceptibility of the normal electrons in the cavity is reduced by the superconductivity, but it remains positive. 相似文献

The structure of 105Sn has been investigated through the 50Cr(58Ni,2pn) reaction at a beam energy of 210 MeV. In addition to an extension of the spherical level scheme, a regular sequence of dipole transitions has been found. The experimental results are in agreement with the prediction of Tilted Axis Cranking calculations, which satisfactorily explain the properties of the band. 相似文献

A general core-quasiparticle coupling (CQPC) formalism is presented that properly accounts for the particle-hole structure in odd-A transitional nuclei. The method is a consequent generalization of the Coriolis-coupling approach. The formalism is applied to the coupling of a quasiparticle to the γ = 30° triaxial rotor and to a γ-unstable core. A comparison with the experimental 191Pt spectrum shows that the odd particle is not a sufficiently sensitive probe to distinguish between the two core models. 相似文献

High spin states in A ~ 110 neutron-rich 106Mo, 110Ru and 112Ru nuclei have been reinvestigated by measuring the prompt γ-rays from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf. Two similar sets of bands are observed to high spins in each of three nuclei. Stimulated by recent experimental discoveries, triaxial strongly deformed (TSD) states in (158)Er at ultrahigh spins have been studied by means of the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model and the tilted-axis-cranking method. Restricting the rotational axis to one of the principal axes--as done in previous cranking calculations--two well-defined TSD minima in the total Routhian surface are found for a given configuration: one with positive and another with negative triaxial deformation γ. By allowing the rotational axis to change direction, the higher-energy minimum is shown to be a saddle point. This resolves the long-standing question of the physical interpretation of the two triaxial minima at a very similar quadrupole shape obtained in the principal-axis-cranking approach. Several TSD configurations have been predicted, including a highly deformed band, which is a candidate for the structure observed in experiment. 相似文献

Polyhedral silsesquioxanes are considered valuable conjugation scaffolds. Nevertheless, only a few examples of silsesquioxane-assembled peptide oligomers have been reported to date. We developed a new bioorthogonal cube-octameric silsesquioxane (COSS) scaffold bearing eight aminooxy coupling sites allowing for the conjugation of diverse peptides via oxime ligation. We found that the coupling efficacy depends on the ligand in view of steric hindrance and electrostatic repulsion. For the first time scaffold-based conjugation of cystine-knot miniproteins having a backbone of about thirty amino acids was successfully accomplished without loss of bioactivity. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) provided further knowledge on the size of COSS verifying them as picoscaffolds growing upon bioconjugation to nano-dimension. 相似文献
