The compositional distribution of InAs quantum dots grown by molecular beam epitaxy on GaAs capped InAs quantum dots has been studied in this work. Upper quantum dots are nucleated preferentially on top of the quantum dots underneath, which have been nucleated by droplet epitaxy. The growth process of these nanostructures, which are usually called as quantum dots molecules, has been explained. In order to understand this growth process, the analysis of the strain has been carried out from a 3D model of the nanostructure built from transmission electron microscopy images sensitive to the composition.  相似文献

The extent of the selectivity obtained for the racemic receptor 2 and enantiomerically pure (S)-naproxen is 7.2:1. A procedure is proposed to obtain the linearization of a class of non-linear physical systems using bond graphs. Also, a junction structure of a non-linear bond graph considering linearly dependent and independent state variables is described. From the junction structure of the non-linear bond graph a procedure to build a linearized bond graph is presented. Potential consequences of disasters involve overwhelming economic losses, large affected populations and serious environmental damages. Given these devastating effects, there is an increasing interest in developing measures in order to diminish the possible impact of disasters, which gave rise to the field of disaster operations management (DOM). In this paper we review recent OR/MS research in DOM. Our work is a continuation of a previous review from Altay and Green (2006). Our purpose is to evaluate how OR/MS research in DOM has evolved in the last years and to what extent the gaps identified by Altay and Green (2006) have been covered. Our findings show no drastic changes or developments in the field of OR/MS in DOM since the publication of Altay and Green (2006). Additionally to our comparative analysis, we present an original evaluation about the most common assumptions in recent OR/MS literature in DOM. Based on our findings we provide future research directions in order to make improvements in the areas where lack of research is detected.  相似文献

The theoretical knowledge about the zinc-zinc bond has been recently expanded after the proposal of a zinc-zinc double bond in several [Zn2(L)4] compounds (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2017 , 56, 10151-10155). Prompted by these results, we have selected the [Zn2(CO)4] species, isolobally related to ethylene, and theoretically investigated the possible η2-Zn2-coordination to several first-row transition metal fragments. The [Zn2(CO)4] coordination to the metal fragment produces an elongation of the dizinc bond and a concomitant pyramidalization of the [Zn(CO)2] unit. These structural parameters are indicative of π-backdonation from the metal to the coordinated dizinc moiety, as occurred with ethylene ligand. A quantum theory of atoms in molecules study of the Zn Zn bond shows a decrease of ρBCP, ∇2ρBCPZn∩Znρ and delocalization indexes δ(Zn,Zn), relative to corresponding values in the parent [Zn2(CO)4] molecule. The Zn Zn and M Zn bonds in these [(η2-Zn2(CO)4)M(L)n] complexes can be described as shared interactions with an important covalent component where the Zn Zn bond is preserved, albeit weakened, upon coordination.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of [Zn(2)(eta(5)-C(5)Me(5))(2)], a stable molecular compound with a Zn-Zn bond and the first example of a dimetallocene structure, has opened a new chapter in the organometallic chemistry of zinc and in metallocene chemistry. The existence of two directly bonded zinc atoms demonstrates that the [Zn-Zn](2+) unit, the lightest Group 12 homologue of the well-known [Hg-Hg](2+) ion, can be stabilized by appropriate ligands. Activity in this area has increased enormously in the few years since the determination of the structure of this molecule. Numerous theoretical studies have been devoted to the investigation of the electronic, structural, and spectroscopic properties of this and related compounds, and new metal-metal coordination and organometallic compounds of zinc, cadmium, and mercury have been synthesized and structurally characterized. A new approach to the stereoselective synthesis of polypropionate-type frameworks is reported utilizing reactions of amide-stabilized sulfur ylides with chiral aldehydes. To establish a new strategy for macrolide fragment synthesis, the stereoselectivity of these reactions in the construction of epoxy amides was the most important aspect of this study. In this aspect, we found a strong influence of the protecting groups employed in the starting aldehydes upon the stereochemical outcome of their reactions with the sulfur ylide 1. Thus, numerous aldehydes showed remarkable stereofacial differentiation, providing a major diastereoisomer, in contrast to others that displayed a poor or no stereoselectivity. Despite the difficulties encountered for some cases with respect to their diastereomeric yields, we were able to prepare various stereotetrads and stereopentads, thus enhancing the synthetic value of this new methodology for the preparation of typical polypropionate frameworks found in many natural products, in particular the macrolide class of antibiotics.  相似文献

The combined effects of the processing parameters upon rheological properties of biopolymers produced by Rhizobium tropici were studied as a function of the Ca(+2) ions' concentration variation, yeast extract concentration added to the medium, aeration, and agitation, maintaining the mannitol concentration in 10 g/L. The experiments were carried out using a fermenter with 20-L capacity as a reactor. All processing parameters were monitored online. The temperature [(30 +/- 1) degrees C] and pH values (7.0) were kept constant throughout the experimental time. As a statistical tool, a complete 2(3) factorial design with central point and response surface was used to investigate the interactions between relevant variables of the fermentation process: calcium carbonate concentration, yeast extract concentration, aeration, and agitation. The processing parameter setup for reaching the maximum response for rheological propriety production was obtained when applying mannitol concentration of 10.0 g/L, calcium carbonate concentration 1.0 g/L, yeast extract concentration 1.0 g/L, aeration 1.30 vvm, and agitation 800 rpm. The viscosimetric investigation of polysaccharide solutions exposed their shear-thinning behavior and polyelectrolytic feature.  相似文献
