Different structures have been found for poly(α-tetrathiophene) [poly(α-4TF)] electrosynthesized on Pt by anodic oxidation of 1.0 mM monomer solutions in media such as 45:35:20 (v/v/v) acetonitrile/THF/DMF, 45:35:20 (v/v/v) acetonitrile/ethanol/DMF and 72:28 (v/v) acetonitrile/DMF containing 0.1 M LiClO4; as well as 72:28 (v/v) acetonitrile/DMF with 0.1 M NaClO3, under dynamic and static conditions at 25 °C. In all cases the polymer was generated by chronoamperometry at 1.000 V vs. Ag∣AgCl, corresponding to the first oxidation peak detected by cyclic voltammetry. Uniform, adherent, insoluble and black polymer films were obtained under these conditions. The resulting structures have been elucidated by combining the information of their IR spectrum, nox-value and doping level of the counterion. The degree of crosslinking of every polymer has been quantified and related to the molecular flow of monomer on the Pt electrode. A monomer concentration flow between 4 × 10−6 and 5 × 10−6 mmol cm−2 s−1 was determined as the limiting value below which the polymer grows with crosslinking. This value corresponds to the electropolymerization rate of α-4TF by Pt area unit at 25 °C.  相似文献

In this paper, we report on the conformational profile of the pentacyclo-undecane (PCU) cage tripeptide carried out by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation using water as an explicit solvent. The MD solution phase studies carried on the model peptide analogues (A)=Ac–Ala–Ala–Ala–NHMe; (B)=Ac–Cage–Cage–Cage–NHMe; (C)=Ac–Ala–Cage–Ala–NHMe and (D)=Ac–Ala–Pro–Ala–NHMe, are used as a complimentary technique to the corresponding gas phase simulated annealing (SA) study previously carried out in our laboratory. No significant structural changes were observed over the MD trajectories. However, the results reported here provide further evidence that the (PCU) cage amino acid exhibits C7eq, C7aq, R and L conformations, and the theoretical results suggest that the PCU cage amino acid is a strong β-turn inducer. These results support the prediction that when the PCU cage residues are in the (i) and (i+2) positions, the β-turn can be extended in either direction to form anti-parallel β-pleated sheets, thereby forming the basis of the mechanism for the folding back of the chain in a cross-β-turn structure.  相似文献

New spin-state-selective (S3) NMR pulse sequences exclusively applying cross-polarization schemes to achieve optimum homonuclear and heteronuclear 1H-X coherence transfer are reported for the simple and accurate measurement of the magnitude and sign of heteronuclear coupling constants for samples at natural abundance. The proposed spin-edited HCP-TOCSY experiments are based on clean heteronuclear S3 excitation, generated by simultaneous co-addition of two independent in-phase and anti-phase components created during the mixing heteronuclear J-cross-polarization (HCP) step, which is finally transferred to other protons by a conventional homonuclear TOCSY mechanism. Selective 1D and non-selective 2D approaches for the easy determination of long-range proton-carbon and proton-nitrogen coupling constants on any protonated and non-protonated heteronuclei are presented and discussed for several organic molecules.  相似文献

Two different rehydration procedures in the liquid or gas phase have been applied to reconstruct mixed oxides derived from calcined hydrotalcite-like materials to be used as catalysts for aldol condensation reactions. The as-synthesized hydrotalcite, its decomposition product, as well as the reconstructed solids upon rehydration were characterized by XRD, N(2) adsorption, He pycnometry, FTIR, SEM, TEM, (27)Al MAS-NMR and CO(2)-TPD (TPD=temperature-programmed desorption). Compared to the Mg-Al mixed oxide rehydrated in the gas phase (HT-rg), that rehydrated in the liquid phase (HT-rl) exhibits a superior catalytic performance with respect to the aldol condensation of citral with ketones to yield pseudoionones and in the self-aldolization of acetone. The textural properties of HT-rl and HT-rg differ strongly and determine the catalytic behavior. A memory effect led to a higher degree of reconstruction of the lamellar structure when the mixed oxide was rehydrated in the gas phase rather than in the liquid phase, although liquid-phase rehydration under fast stirring produced a surface area that was 26 times greater. This contrasts to typical statements in the literature claiming a higher degree of reconstruction in the presence of large amounts of water in the medium. CO(2)-TPD shows that the number of OH(-) groups and their nature are very similar in HT-rg and HT-rl, and cannot explain the markedly different catalytic behavior. Accordingly, only a small fraction of the available basic sites in the rehydrated samples is active in liquid-phase aldol condensations. Our results support the model in which only basic sites near the edges of the hydrotalcite platelets are partaking in aldol reactions. Based on this, reconstructed materials with small crystallites (produced by exfoliation during mechanical stirring), that is, possessing a high external surface area, are beneficial in the reactions compared to larger crystals with a high degree of intraplatelet porosity.  相似文献

The properties of isolated neutral oxygen vacancies and divacancies of metal oxides of increasing complexity (MgO, CaO, alpha-Al2O3, and ZnO) have been studied by means of density-functional theory within a supercell periodic approach. Vacancy formation energies, vacancy-vacancy interactions, and geometry rearrangements around these point defects have been investigated in detail. The characterization of the electronic structure of these point defects has been established by analysis of the density of states and of the topology of the electron density and of electron localization function. It is found that the chemical character of the oxide determines the properties of the oxygen vacancies. For the covalent ZnO oxide, a more complex scheme arises in which the relaxation around the oxygen vacancy is much larger leading to the formation of Zn4-like almost metallic particles in the crystal. The relationship of these structures with the crystal shear planes is discussed. The present study shows that supercells containing approximately 200-300 atoms provide converged values for the geometric and electronic structure of oxygen vacancies of these metal oxides in the point defect low concentration limit.  相似文献

Interaction of atomic hydrogen with cluster models simulating the Rh(111) surface has been studied at the ab initio SCF level using relativistic non-empirical pseudopotentials and moderately large basis sets. From the bonding parameters, it is seen that chemisorption on the threefold open position is five times more favoured than on the threefold eclipsed one, and the bonding picture is rather different for both active sites. Since two different kinds of adsorbed hydrogen atoms should exist according to various experimental techniques, the present work adds further evidence to the existence of these two types of adsorption and reports some structural parameters which can help to a more detailed characterization in the near future.  相似文献

In the post-genomic era, several projects focused on the massive experimental resolution of the three-dimensional structures of all the proteins of different organisms have been initiated. Simultaneously, significant progress has been made in the ab initio prediction of protein three-dimensional structure. One of the keys to the success of such a prediction is the use of local information (i.e. secondary structure). Here we describe a new limited proteolysis methodology, based on the use of unspecific exoproteases coupled with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS), to map quickly secondary structure elements of a protein from both ends, the N- and C-termini. We show that the proteolytic patterns (mass spectra series) obtained can be interpreted in the light of the conformation and local stability of the analyzed proteins, a direct correlation being observed between the predicted and the experimentally derived protein secondary structure. Further, this methodology can be easily applied to check rapidly the folding state of a protein and characterize mutational effects on protein conformation and stability. Moreover, given global stability information, this methodology allows one to locate the protein regions of increased or decreased conformational stability. All of this can be done with a small fraction of the amount of protein required by most of the other methods for conformational analysis. Thus limited exoproteolysis, together with MALDI-TOF MS, can be a useful tool to achieve quickly the elucidation of protein structure and stability.  相似文献

Preparation of Langmuir monolayers of a mixture of trans- and cis-isomers of an azobenzene derivative, 4-[4-[(4-octylphenyl)azo]phenoxy]butanoic acid, results in the segregation of birefringent trans-isomer domains embedded in an isotropic medium of cis-isomers. Brewster angle microscopy observations allow us to identify different textures inside the domains depending on surface pressure, temperature, and domain size. The evolution of the monolayer in the dark, from initial droplets formed after spreading to a stable stripe texture, is described. The dynamics of domain coalescence and some morphological transitions induced by temperature and surface pressure changes are also discussed. A simple theoretical model is included to supplement some of these experimental observations.  相似文献
