The applicability of the delayed fluorescence (DF) for the purpose of distinguishing the cells growing in different nutrient conditions was researched on the marine unicellular algae Dunaliella tertiolecta Butcher (Chlorophyta). The DF intensity (DFI), as a measure of living algal biomass, was compared with other biomass measures--the cell concentration, chlorophyll a and fluorescence. The photosynthetic activity index (PhAI), a non-dimensional physiological index of photosynthesis calculated from a combination of DFI and F(0) was introduced. The nitrogen deprivation was indicated by more than 50% drop of PhAI. DF decay kinetics was measured with two different illuminations (<600 nm and >650 nm). The measured curves were divided and the resulting peak utilized for the differentiation among nutrient conditions. DF decay kinetics of D. tertiolecta differed among the cells growing in various nutrient conditions, indicating changes in the photosynthesis physiology.  相似文献

We prove the existence of infinitely many periodic solutions for periodically forced radially symmetric systems of second-order ODE??s, with a singularity of repulsive type, where the nonlinearity has a superlinear growth at infinity. These solutions have periods, which are large integer multiples of the period of the forcing, and rotate exactly once around the origin in their period time, while having a fast oscillating radial component. We consider periodic perturbations of a central force field having a rotational symmetry, and prove the existence of nearly circular periodic orbits. We thus generalize, in the planar case, some previous bifurcation results obtained by Ambrosetti and Coti Zelati in [1]. Our results apply, in particular, to the classical Kepler problem.  相似文献

We are concerned with non-autonomous radially symmetric systems with a singularity, which are T-periodic in time. By the use of topological degree theory, we prove the existence of large-amplitude periodic solutions whose minimal period is an integer multiple of T. Precise estimates are then given in the case of Keplerian-like systems, showing some resemblance between the orbits of those solutions and the circular orbits of the corresponding classical autonomous system.  相似文献

We investigate the local structure of ferromagnetic Zn(1-x)Co(x)O epilayers by coupling polarization-dependent x-ray absorption spectroscopy and ab initio calculations of selected defect structures. We give clear evidence of the presence of oxygen vacancies, located close to the Co atoms in a specific complex configuration. We also establish the upper concentration limit of metallic parasitic nanophases and their contribution to magnetism. Our results lead to the conclusion that oxygen vacancies play an important role in originating the high temperature ferromagnetism of Zn(1-x)Co(x)O.  相似文献
