A long-pulse-width high-output energy (120 ns FWHM, 7 J) XeCl laser has been focused on thin tape targets (Cu and Ta) to generate more than 100-ns-long (FWHM) EUV pulses in the 10–30 nm spectral region, suitable for projection microlithography. The conversion efficiency was more than 20% over a 2π solid angle. We observed debris emission using a gated CCD camera, and measured the debris speed for different irradiation conditions. We found irradiation conditions such that the measured velocities were low enough that simple mechanical devices combined with krypton at low-pressure could efficiently stop both ionic debris and cluster debris. Our results show that a suitable combination of driving-laser characteristics, target material and thickness, environment gas and mechanical choppers can make clean and increase the power of EUV solid-target laser-plasma sources. Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is an enzyme that downregulates the insulin receptor. Inhibition of PTP1B is expected to improve insulin action, and the design of small molecule PTP1B inhibitors to treat type II diabetes has received considerable attention. In this work, NMR-based screening identified a nonselective competitive inhibitor of PTP1B. A second site ligand was also identified by NMR-based screening and then linked to the catalytic site ligand by rational design. X-ray data confirmed that the inhibitor bound with the catalytic site in the native, "open" conformation. The final compound displayed excellent potency and good selectivity over many other phosphatases. The modular approach to drug design described in this work should be applicable for the design of potent and selective inhibitors of other therapeutically relevant protein tyrosine phosphatases.  相似文献

Coherent dynamic x-ray scattering has been used to study the thermally excited layer fluctuations in freely suspended smectic films of the compound 4O.8. Using 8-keV x rays and films with a thickness around 0.3 &mgr;m we resolve relaxation times down to a few &mgr;s. A combination of damped and oscillatory behavior is observed for the layer undulations, which can be attributed to inertial effects. These are due to the surface contribution to the free energy which cannot be disregarded for thin films.  相似文献

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) has become a powerful analytical technique for the separation of a variety of analytes ranging from small inorganic ions to large biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids. A selective and sensitive detector for CE has been one of the most important and challenging prerequisites for the growth of CE. On-column UV-Vis detectors are commonly used to determine the analytes separated by CE. However, these detectors are often not very selective. Other detection techniques such as mass spectrometry, laser induced fluorescence, amperometry, and inductively coupled plasma spectrometry have been investigated to provide a more sensitive and selective detection for the target analytes. However, relatively few studies have been published on the use of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) as a means of detection in CE separation.  相似文献

研究了水/ 甲苯乳化液中二苯并噻吩( 硫芴) 在分散型钼酸、磷钼酸和四硫钼酸铵催化剂存在下的加氢脱硫反应. 反应在高压釜中于340 ℃及三种不同的气氛即H2 ,H2/H2 O和CO/H2O(CO 和H2O 经水煤气转换反应( WGSR) 产生原位氢) 的存在下进行. 用GC和GCMS鉴定、分析了气体和液体产物的组成. 结果表明: 对硫芴的加氢脱硫反应,在分散型四硫钼酸铵催化剂存在下,原位产生的氢的效果仅比加入的氢气稍好,而在分散型钼酸和磷钼酸催化剂存在下,原位产生的氢远比加入的氢气有效. 实验结果还表明: 硫化氢能显著提高分散型钼酸和磷钼酸催化剂的加氢脱硫活性,但在分散型四硫钼酸铵催化剂存在下,硫化氢能促进加氢反应而抑制氢解反应. 一氧化碳和水均选择性地抑制氢解反应.  相似文献

Summary A large-aperture, long-pulse XeCl excimer laser has been used to generate a soft-X-ray plasma source. Several laser optical configurations have been employed to optimise X-ray emission, including positive-branch unstable resonators and injection by seeding the gain region of the laser with a small commercial excimer laser, resulting in power densities in the range 1012–1014 W cm−2. The characteristics of the plasma source for each different laser configuration and for different target materials are investigated. Significant variations of thiapyrylium chemical shifts, by comparison with their thienohomologues, are shown by 1H n.m.r. spectra of furo[3,2-c]thiapyrylium and furo[2,3-c]thiapyrylium perchlorates. The observed changes can be ascribed to a different distribution of the electron charge (mainly caused by participation of the 3d orbitals of sulphur in the thienohomologues) and to a different contribution of the ring current; this is shown by MO calculations performed by the CNDO/2 and the coupled Hartree–Fock methods, respectively.  相似文献
